Chapter 10
Third person's POV
As Lucas walked to the drink machine, his phone alerted him that Aria's location had changed; he checked it and discovered that Aria had gone to a cafe near her school. He then texted the other protectors, saying that he would go get Aria and continue the conversation about the Auxier Stone.
Irish: Our master is going to a cafe near the school, right? Okay, I'll close my shop soon; thank you for informing us, Lucas.
Jaxon: We'll wait for you two to arrive.
Elias: I baked some cookies for Aria so she could try my creations as well. I hope she enjoys them.
Lucas smiled as he read Elias's statement that he baked some cookies for Aria. He put his phone back in his pocket and went to get his drink, which was a can of cola. After drinking the cola, he threw it away. He returned to his office and examined the paperwork he was currently working on and the drafts of the new clothes that his company would produce.
"Mr. Collymore, you have a meeting at 5 p.m.; should I reschedule?" Lucas' secretary said this while holding a tablet and looking at him.
"Do cancel it and reschedule it for tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. because I have important things to do," Lucas said. His secretary nodded as he exited the office.
Aria sat at an empty table in the cafe while she waited for her order, which was a classic milk tea. She picks up her phone and texts her mother about going to her friend's house, mentioning her Irish name, and then she sends a message to her mother informing her.
"Number eighteen! One Classic Milktea, Miss Aria!" Aria heard what the counter lady said and stood up to get her order; she exited the cafe near her school.
She was drinking her milk tea and waiting for Lucas to come to get her because they had discussed continuing the discussion about Auxier Stone when she noticed a sports car stopped in front of her. The mirror of the car went down, and she saw Lucas smile.
"I've arrived. Come on in. We have a lot to talk about." As Aria opened the car's door in front of her, she buckled her seat belt and drank the classic milk tea that she had purchased.
"I'm glad you know how to put your seat belt on," Lucas said as Aria finished her milk tea and turned to face the outside.
"My father owns a car, so I know how to do it, but your car is slightly different; it is more stylish because it is a sports car," Aria replied. They are now on their way to Lucas' mansion.
When Lucas and Aria arrived at the mansion, Aria removed her seat belt and exited the sports car before Lucas. The other protectors noticed Aria, and she waved to them.
"I think she likes us already, and I hope she will like us over time," Jaxon told Logan.
"Let's see if she really did," Logan replied to Jaxon. Lucas used a small remote control key to lock all the sports car doors, and Aria followed Lucas into the mansion.
"How long will it take you to finish talking about the Auxier Stone?" Aria inquired as she sat on the sofa.
"It won't take long, I'll be the one to tell you everything, and in time you'll learn how to use its powers," Lucas said as Elias placed the tray of cookies on the small table.
"Aria, I baked some cookies for you; I hope you enjoy them! Please let me know if you want some milk or anything else to drink; I can even make you my own milk tea!!" Elias said, and Aria looked at the cookies before selecting one.
"Thank you for this; I still have my milk tea in my right hand. Lucas, tell me everything I need to know about Auxier Stone, starting with where it came from," Aria said as she removed her shoes and placed her foot on the sofa.
"Do you sit like this?" Lucas inquired as he observed Aria.
"Yes? Why? Is it not permitted in here?" Lucas immediately shook his head in response to Aria's statement.
"Wait, will something happen to me if you tell me about the Auxier Stone?" Lucas shook his head in response to Aria's statement.
"I don't know, but I hope nothing bad happens to you because you're our master now. We'll be worried if anything bad happens," Lucas said, and Aria nodded.
"All right, tell me more about it; I'm all ears!" Aria said, and Lucas explained everything about Auxier Stone to her while she listened intently.
"Is that what you're saying, Auxier Stone? I have Auxier Stone powers and abilities that I can use, but I can't use them right now because I need to be eighteen years old. Does this mean that the nine of you will teach me because I can use all of your powers?" Aria inquired, unaware that she had already consumed all of the cookies.
"You are correct, but because you have the Auxier Stone in your body, you have the same power as we do. Yes, we will teach you if you have any further questions on using your abilities," Lucas explained. Aria nodded and finished her milk tea.
"Do you have a book with the history of Auxier Stone in it?" Aria inquired, and Lucas remained silent as he looked around at the other protectors.
"Did she not believe what you told her?" Logan asked Lucas softly, in hushed tones.
"I don't know, but let's ask her why she wants a history book of Auxier Stone even though I told her everything," Lucas replied, his voice low, and Aria couldn't hear it.
"Master, why do you want the Auxier Stone book?" Aria was taken aback when Lucas asked her.
"Why? You don't have one, do you? I assumed it was like in the movies, where I could learn about the history of the Auxier stone." Aria inquired, and Lucas smiled and shook his head.
"You are not in a fantasy world, master; you are in reality. All I've said about the Auxier Stone is its history; we, the nine protectors, had served other masters before you. We want all of those mistakes to be corrected not just for you but for everyone because you were chosen by the Auxier Stone. Still, it hasn't fully awakened to your body yet." Lucas spoke up, and Aria nodded as she put on her shoes and stood up.
"I understand, but we're done here, so I'm going home. I need to study at home because you stated that the Auxier Stone is not fully awakened. I must be eighteen years old before the stone can be activated again." Aria inquired, and Lucas nodded.
"You are correct, master, and I thank you for listening to my story about the Auxier stone; I will take you home," Lucas said as he re-applied his coat.
"Thank you, but you can still contact me if something happens, and I can assist you. You mentioned that now that I'm here, your old enemies will resurface. I believe everything you said, and I'm terrified that something bad will happen to my family and me." Aria stated that the other protectors were taken aback by how formal Aria was and how well-mannered she was.
"We will protect you, master with our lives, don't be afraid because the Auxier Stone will protect you if we fail to protect you," Logan said. Aria smiled, relieved that the nine protectors would risk their lives for her.
"Okay, I appreciate what you said to me, and I'll see you again." Aria was about to leave the mansion when she realized she needed the phone numbers of her protectors so she could contact them.
"I almost forgot, could you please add me to your phonebook? Please find my phone number below so that you can contact me as well." Aria stated as she unlocked her phone and displayed the number she had.
"Got it, master," Logan said as Aria exited the mansion, followed by Lucas.
Lucas was about to cast his dark spell when Aria intervened.
"You can fetch me up before my house, so my parents don't see you," Aria said, and Lucas nodded. Aria climbed into Lucas' sports car.
Lucas smiled as he entered his sports car and put his seat belt on, as did Aria. Lucas started the engine and drove Aria home.
After a few minutes, when the sports car stopped in front of Aria's neighbor's house, Aria removed her seat belt and exited Lucas' car.
"If you're available on Saturday or Sunday, let's have lunch if I have time. You are welcome to bring the other protectors with you. Thank you for saving my life when we first met," Aria said. And Lucas was surprised, and he nodded as Aria closed the sports car door.
"I'll see you soon, Master Aria, and if you need anything, please call or text us," Lucas said.
"Thank you also. You may leave now, and if you have important things to do, do them," Aria said as she walked away from him.
Aria walked to her house and entered to find her mother watching a movie in the living room. She went upstairs, placed her bag on her bed, and took off her clothes. She examined herself in the mirror, intrigued by the Auxier Stone.
"I can't see the Auxier Stone inside my body, but I know what it looks like; I'm not sure if I'll still see that woman in my dreams who calls me. I've been dreaming about it since I was a child as if she's calling me repeatedly." Aria thought to herself as she entered the bathroom and began to bathe herself.
Lucas has just returned home, exited his sports car, entered his house, and the other protectors are waiting for him.
"Did she say anything when she arrived home?" Logan inquired, and Lucas gave him a look.
"Yes, she said she wants to treat us to lunch if we are free on Saturday or Sunday. She ordered me to do the important things," Lucas replied, shocking Logan and the other protectors.
"That's fantastic! We'll learn more about master!" Irish said, and she was overjoyed to be back in contact with Auxier's master.
"It's Thursday, and we need to get our work done so that we don't have any backlogs to deal with on Saturday," Lucas said, and the other protectors agreed.
"Of course, we'll finish our work for Master Aria! She's our master, and she's our top priority!" Lucas simply nodded as he removed his coat, according to Jaxon.
"I'm going to rest now and finish all of my work so that we can enjoy every moment with Mater Aria this Saturday," Lucas said as he walked upstairs to his room.
