Chapter 20
Aria's POV
I approached my protectors, who all knelt before me, now happy because I remembered everything. The place was in chaos, but we will fix all of this.
"Master, welcome back. After decades of waiting for you," Lucas continued, the time has come. When I look at Irish, I can tell she's as happy to see me as the other protectors are.
"Thank you for your patience, Irish. Please stand up," I said, and she immediately stood up, looked at me, and hugged me.
"I really miss you! It's now official that you are the reincarnation of Nivia!" Irish said, and I tapped her back before letting go of her hug.
"Now that I think about it, the enemy who attacked us is Ryder, am I correct? And I apologize for my previous recklessness. Lucas was right, and thanks to him, I was stopped. But first, we must repair this location," I said to the protectors, and they nodded.
"We don't have a plan right now, master, but we will create one if you let us, or you will be the one to create a new plan with Lucas," Logan said as I nodded and began walking while thinking.
"Lucas is your leader, and I chose him to be the leader of the Auxier protectors because of his abilities. I think I'll help him plan because this body is still small for me, you know what I'm talking about, I'm still 18 years old, and I can't do hard work, plus I'm regaining the abilities that I used. To have." I said as I looked at Lucas and stopped walking around.
"Do you have a strategy in mind?" Lucas smiled when I asked him.
"Of course, I have a plan; I've been thinking about the enemy these few days as the day of your awakening approaches, and now the Auxier has awakened. Kai will begin to plan his next move and devise a strategy," Lucas explained. I nodded because he was correct; the enemy will now proceed because I now remember everything, but I haven't regained some of my abilities.
"You are correct, but first, I need to settle my family, and I need you to use your dark spell on them, Lucas," I advised him, and he was taken aback.
"Are you certain about that? What if Kai starts looking into your personal information? Then they'll know about your family and put them in danger?" Lucas inquired, and I averted my gaze.
"You still need to erase their memories of having a daughter for their own safety. Create new memories that they are married but without a child," I suggested to Lucas. He placed his hand on his chin and thought.
"Okay, if it's for the better, I'll do it. You must accompany me and say your final goodbye so that they will not suspect us," Lucas suggested, and I nodded before returning my attention to the other protectors.
"I'll be right back, clean up the mess here, and we'll continue our dinner later," I said, and they nodded as Lucas took my hand in his.
"Master, take care, and when you return, I will serve delicious food as a welcome back celebration," Wyatt said.
We exited the mansion and entered his sports car; I buckled my seat belt, and Lucas started the engine and began driving. While he is driving, I pick up my phone and look through it, and I see that my mother texted me, which makes me sad.
"Are you all right?" Lucas inquired.
"I'll be fine now; I remember the past, it's time to protect the people who have protected me before, and that is my family," I told him, smiling as I looked at him.
"I know you. Even if you hide your true feelings, I know you will miss your family, but it's good that you prioritize them and think about their safety for their sake." Lucas said, and we arrived at my house in a few minutes.
"I can do it! This is for their own protection," I thought to myself as I unbuckled my seat belt and exited the sports car.
I walked to the gate with Lucas beside me, and when I opened the door, I saw mom walking repeatedly, and she approached me right away.
"I'm very concerned about you! You didn't text me to let me know you're with Lucas." I hugged Mom after she said that.
"I'm sorry, mom, I promise I won't do it again," I said, motioning with my hand to let Lucas cast the dark spell.
"Thank you for taking care of Aria," Lucas said, and I let go of the hug as I noticed dad approaching us and a dark aura surrounding them.
They closed their eyes, and I caught my mother, and Lucas caught my father.
"They will be fine. They will not remember you when they wake up tomorrow. If you want them to remember you again, I can undo the dark spell on them, but as you said, this is for their safety because the enemy may come after them." Lucas said, and I nodded. I'm carrying Mom while he's carrying Dad.
"Thank you, Lucas. Let us lay my father and mother in their room," I said, and we decided to take them there.
I draped a blanket over them, kissed her cheeks, and hugged mom before backing away and exiting their room, bidding them farewell.
"Thank you for your help as always. Help me pack my belongings, Lucas," I said, and he nodded. We went to my room, and I picked up my pink travel bag and all my belongings.
"There's a photo album here that appears to be of you as a child; I don't think you've seen this before, do you?" I heard Lucas ask me and turned to see him packing my belongings.
"I hadn't noticed it before, but why would they hide it? I'll look into it later, pack everything in my room, and leave no trace." I gave Lucas my order, and he nodded. He had a large travel bag in which I could store my personal belongings.
After packing my belongings, we are now ready to leave. I looked around my room, and it was not empty except for the bed and the study table; hopefully, I will return here someday to be with them. I saw Lucas use his dark spell, and the color turned white, and the bed vanished.
"This will suffice, so they won't know who's room. This is," Lucas said, and I nodded.
We exited the house, and he assisted me in loading the travel bag into the back of his sports car. After that, we went inside, and I looked at the house one last time. After buckling the seat belt, I saw Lucas use his dark spell again.
"What did you use this time?" I inquired of Lucas.
"I take your picture out of the family picture frame," Lucas said, buckling his seat belt.
"Let's go home to my new home with you and the other protectors," I told Lucas, and he started his car and drove away.
"Don't worry, they'll be fine; we'll come back here someday," Lucas said as he drove away from my house. It felt sad, but I knew everything would be fine, and I knew I'll see them again.
"From time to time, you can check on them to see if they're okay, don't be sad," Lucas suggested, which was not a bad idea.
I played games on my phone while he drove. After a few minutes, we arrived at his house, and he was the first to get out of the car to pick up my bags. After putting my phone back in my pocket, I unbuckled my seat belt.
I got out of the car, and he handed me the travel bag. When we got inside, I saw Irish putting a plate at the dining table and many foods. It was like a catering gathering, and it was the same food that Wyatt had cooked previously.
"Welcome back! Good timing, the place has been repaired, and the food is ready again! Let's get our plates ready!" Jaxon said, and I smiled as I sat in the center.
"It's good to be back; this brings back memories of us seated and ready to eat a meal," I said, and I noticed they nodded and smiled.
"Let's get started!" I said, and we all began to eat; I noticed Lucas putting a nugget on my plate while I was eating.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"You like nuggets, right?" I just smiled when he asked.
I ate the nuggets after dipping them in the sauce; when we finished eating, everyone was full, including me. Lucas stood up as I drank the juice.
"We need to get some rest because you all have work to do, and Aria will go to her school tomorrow to see if she passed the entrance exam," Lucas added; I recall the entrance exam and Christopher, who resembled my brother in the past.
"I forgot to tell you about Christopher. I met him at school, and Jaxon met him," I said, surprising Lucas.
"How come you didn't tell me sooner?" Lucas inquired, and I turned to face Jaxon.
"I told you I'd forgotten. I'm telling you this because he looks like my brother." I said, and they were all taken aback.
"Really? Could you please show us a picture of him?" Isaac inquired.
"I don't have his picture, but I think you'll meet him someday if we're classmates," I explained, and they were perplexed.
"Don't worry, he's not going to do anything bad for me; he's a good person," I told them, and I could tell Lucas was jealous.
"What's up with your expression? I can smell some jealousy?" I inquired of Lucas.
"No, I'm not jealous; I was disappointed that you forgot to tell me," Lucas said, pinching his nose.
"You silly, I'm only in love with you, don't worry about it," I said as I noticed his cheeks turn red.
"Please don't flirt in front of the other protectors!" Lucas said, and I laughed.
"They are the witnesses to our love; come here!" I said to him, and I opened my arms for him to hug me, and he did.
"What a lovely couple! It's been decades! I wish I had that one!" I heard Jaxon say.
"We're leaving! There are too many floating hearts!" When I heard Ezekiel, I just laughed.
