Chapter 43

Third person's POV

Aria informed the restaurant manager that she would resign from her position as an accounting trainee, and she understood that there was another great opportunity awaiting Aria. Aria thanked her and will soon pass her registration letter and surrender the essential materials the restaurant provided her for her work for the past five months.

When the nine protectors and Aria arrived at the training hall with Khalil, they paused, sat down, and observed when Lucas and Aria faced each other.

"Are you prepared to handle the sword?" Lucas asked Aria, and she nodded. Lucas then displayed the sword, and Aria touched it.

The sword glows red with a blue aura in it, Lucas looks at Aria and sees her close her eyes, and Aria floats away. The nine protectors, including Khalil, were initially taken aback by what was happening to her.

"I feel the power, Lucas! I saw a vision in which we were all fighting!" Aria said the sword's glowing aura encircled her, and Lucas was ready to apprehend Aria at any time.

"Hold on, I believe the sword is watching you if you are the reincarnation of Nivia Genesis," Lucas advised. The glowing stopped, but Aria remained floating.

"It's my sword; it's mine," Aria exclaimed as she flew high above the nine protectors.

"I'm not sure why I can fly, but maybe I can fly like superheroes," Aria said, but Lucas tried to fly but couldn't.

"You are the eternal master, which is fantastic! You've gained some abilities, and you must learn how to use them," Lucas said, and Aria nodded as she landed in front of him.

"Let's get started, then. You can attack me first, but I promise I won't hurt you all, and the Auxier is now under my control." Everyone nodded, and Khalil was ready to attack Aria.

They attack together, Aria uses her dark power with electric power to create a shield, and everyone flies away, including Lucas. They stood up, and Aria smirked when Khalil jumped in front of her, but she used her hand to push Khalil away and the wind power to fly him away too far.

"Come on. We're in the middle of stretching our hands!" Aria said that Irish attacked her with a sword. Still, Aria blocked it and extracted the fire in her sword as she summoned four swords around her and tracked Irish while dodging all the attacks.

"How did you accomplish that?" Irish yelled and flew away, then Jaxon attacked her with electric power, but she used water power and shocked Jaxon. Aria plunged her sword into the ground, using gravity to pull the protector away from her; it was a strong gravity push.

"I know you're all good fighters, and I know you don't want me to get hurt, but you have to take this seriously because I'm taking this training seriously!" Aria gave the order, and Lucas attacked Aria with his dark power in his hand. Aria looked at it, and as she swung her sword, thunder struck the blade, leaving it with electricity and frost.

"Too bad they didn't power up their power but did you know that I can defeat you using only one power, which is the dark power?" Lucas confidently says, and Aria smirks as she jumps high in the sky as Lucas follows her.

He touches Aria's foot to bring her down. Still, Aria uses her power to float herself. Aria attacks Lucas with the sword, extracting the dark energy from it.

Lucas summoned a demon using his dark power, and Aria was surprised. She came to a halt and fell to the ground.

When Lucas approached Aria, she pretended to be unconscious. Irish screamed when she saw their master lying down with her eyes closed.

"You go overboard! We're so done that Auxier will execute us!" Lucas picked up Aria and tried to wake her up after Jaxon panicked.

"I didn't go overboard! I think she was surprised to see my new trick, which is to use my dark power to create a demon figure," Lucas was concerned.

"Aria, wake up; I don't like this, did my new trick surprise you?" Lucas asks a question, and Ezekiel heals Aria with his healing power.

"I will use my skill called healing grounds to heal Aria and the people around her," Ezekiel explained as he cast a spell on the ground illuminating the area.

Aria laughed and opened her eyes, shocking the nine protectors, who took a deep breath.

"You got us," Logan said, and Irish began to laugh while Lucas was taken aback by her deception.

"I'm sorry if I trick you all, but I need to do it because I remember the techniques I've used in the past, and since Ezekiel uses his healing power, I can't attack you all in one hit using my power," Aria said, laughing again as Lucas put her down.

"Let's keep practicing. The other protectors do fighting each other. Practice your skills; I'll handle Aria myself," Lucas said, and Aria was terrified that Lucas was serious.

"Are you mad at what I did? I was kidding." Aria inquired, and Lucas prepared himself by teaching Aria some movement.

"I'll teach you martial arts again, but you have to focus on me first," Lucas said, and Aria braced herself as he watched Lucas move.

Aria was tired after practice, and Lucas sat down beside her. Aria looks at him, and she pokes Lucas in the face.

"Are you not going to speak to me?" Aria inquired of Lucas, who looked at her.

"You make me worried about everything, but it's okay since I love you," Lucas said, catching his breath, and Aria smiled as she moved closer to him and hugged him.

"I love you as well! I assumed you were mad at me, and I'm afraid you will be," Aria said, making Lucas laugh.

"I got my revenge; I was about to make you cry," Lucas said, and Aria was stunned before pinching Lucas' nose.

"You're not going to make me cry!" Aria responded, looking around at the other protectors still practicing while the two were resting.

"What would you like to learn next? I know everything. You can create a trick like I did earlier," Lucas asked, and Aria was considering one.

"All right, teach me how to create what you did earlier," Aria said as Lucas placed his arm around her.

"I want to kiss you right now." Aria was surprised, and she looked at Lucas.

"Really?" Aria was curious.

"Yes, but the other protectors will tease us," Lucas said, and Aria smirked as she looked around at the eight protectors.

Aria used her water power to create some bubble barriers before kissing Lucas on the lips. He was taken aback and closed his eyes, as did Aria.

"Seriously! You're flirting with each other in the middle of practice!" When Lucas heard what Wyatt said, he let go of the kiss.

Aria takes down the bubble barrier and examines the other protectors.

"Would you like to be punished?" When Aria said that, Wyatt was taken aback.

"I'm sorry to interrupt you, master, but as I said, we're in training," Wyatt said as he turned away, making Aria laugh.

"I'd like to sleep with you tonight if that's okay with you," Lucas surprised Aria.

"Do we plan on having sex tonight?" Aria said quietly, and Lucas laughed.

"No, I just want to sleep next to you because I've been dreaming so much lately that I'm scared something bad will happen," Lucas clarified, and Aria smiled.

"I've told you many times, nothing bad is going to happen to me," Aria said, touching Lucas' face.

"Okay, I'm just a little worried. Let's keep practicing," Lucas said, and Aria nodded as they both stood up and continued to practice.
