Chapter 28

Aria's POV

When I came downstairs, everyone was ready to get to work, whereas I don't have anything to do right now, and Christopher just went home last night even though it was late.

I'm glad we're completed. This is the new beginning of my life; I won't let anything wrong happen to them or my family, and I won't repeat the mistakes I've made in the past; this time, we'll do so right. I'll be wiser and more robust because Lucas is always there for me and loves me. Thanks to him, I now have a sense of purpose in my life.

"Hello and good morning! Let's eat, Aria." I heard Irish, and she held my hand as she forced me to sit in the middle, and all I could do was smile.

I notice the other protectors who are now conversing. Khalil is standing beside me, waiting for his food to be prepared. I saw Lucas come down, and he still appeared terrified. I'm not familiar with the nightmare he mentioned earlier, but it makes me nervous.

Maybe I'll ask the other protectors for advice on what I should do as the Eternal Master of Auxier. Lucas sat down on the chair, and everyone began to eat while I looked at them.

"Are you not going to eat?" I looked at Lucas after hearing him call my name.

"I'm going to eat, I was just glad to see you all here, and we're not as full as we were before," I said to Lucas, drawing everyone's attention to me.

"I'm glad you're back, master; our long wait is over," Ezekiel said as I began to eat the breakfast Wyatt had prepared for us.

He made hotdogs, sunny-side-up eggs, and bacon, and Isaac made the drinks we usually drink. I drink milk while the others drink coffee; after eating, I drink milk, and Logan stands up and fixes his tie.

"I need to go now because we have a sale today at the store, and there will be a lot of customers," Logan said, and Lucas stood up as well.

"I'll go now; I almost forgot. Thank you for reminding me, Logan," Lucas said as I looked back and forth, surprised that they work for the same company.

"Wait, Logan works for you?" When I asked Lucas, he stopped moving for a moment.

"He is. What's wrong with that?" Lucas inquired, and I looked at everyone.

"They work at the same company, but we don't, and Lucas has a higher position than him," Irish explained, and I was even more surprised.

"That's good; I thought everyone at Lucas worked there," and Irish tapped my shoulder.

"It's okay, we understand your confusion, and we apologize for not informing you about our work," Irish said. I nodded as Lucas approached, and I stood up.

"If you need anything, tell Jaxon because he was just here doing his work at home. Ezekiel, Irish is close to my house, so someone will protect you when the others are working," Lucas said, and I nodded.

"I understand! I'll be fine, and I'm with Khalil; please drive safely," I told Lucas, and he kissed my brow.

"See you later; I will miss you," Lucas said, and I laughed.

"You'll see me when you get home," I told him, and he hugged me.

"Are you sure you'll be fine today?" When I ask Lucas, he lets go of my hug.

"Yes, I will be fine; who said I wouldn't?" Lucas was curious.

"No one, I just feel it, but you said you'd be fine, so I'll be fine," I told Lucas as he walked away.

He left the mansion, but I was still concerned. I sat back down and attempted to use my dark power to see if it would connect with Lucas, but I screamed when I felt pain in my chest.

"Master! What happened?" Everyone yelled, and they were all concerned about me.

"How come you used your power when you know you can't right now?" I heard Khalil and saw Lucas come back here, worried.

"Wait, what happened?" He inquired, and my breathing became labored.

"She used her power unexpectedly; I don't know why," Khalil said. When Lucas touched my hand, I immediately stood up.

"I'm fine! You don't need to be concerned; leave me alone for the time being as I need to rest," I said as I began to walk away to go upstairs to my room.

I lock the door and know Khalil can come in because he has power, but I believe he will understand what I've said and leave me alone for a moment. I was surprised to hear a voice, which turned out to be the protectors.

"You should keep an eye on her, Jaxon," Lucas said.

"I'll keep an eye on her and call you if anything happens," I heard Jaxon, unsure why I listened to their voice.

Maybe because I'm the Eternal Master now and have a secret power that I don't know how to control yet, I only know about Auxier's curse power. I recall writing notes about the hidden power, which was the curse power, and I haven't yet told the other protectors about how I used it in the past.

I cursed someone with that power before when I was alone to buy something; I didn't let one of my protectors accompany me because I wanted to be alone. I was surprised when I noticed a green aura in my hand.

"You have control over your curse power now, but you didn't have control over it in the past because you aren't yet the eternal master," Khalil said as he entered my room.

"I tried to use the dark power to connect with Lucas to find out what's going on with him and what he dreamed last night," I told Khalil, who sat down in front of me.

"He had a nightmare about you, and it's not good to talk about it because he'll just be angry or make you worried," Khalil said, which surprised me because he knew.

"How did you find out? Are you watching everyone in this mansion, including me?" As I stood up, I asked Khalil.

"I'll be honest with you, but my answer is yes because I'm the only one who knows what's going on in your dream. " Khalil said, you have the Auxier Stone holding something you don't know yet," Khalil said. I believe he knows something about it.

"Then do you have any idea what the Auxier has? Is it a mystery?" I asked Khalil as he walked around my room and jumped onto my bed.

"In the past, you gave them half of the Auxier stone because you trust them, and they are loyal to you except for the one who betrayed you, and until now, you haven't punished him. The Auxier is waiting for you to punish him," Khalil said, unsure of what he said.

"What is the point of saying this all of a sudden? Please explain, so I can understand," I asked Khalil.

"The Auxier Stone has a connection in your emotions; you are both one; if you are afraid of something, it will show you what you are afraid of, but it won't happen in real life," Khalil explained.

"Lucas and I talked last night, and maybe I'm the reason he's scared when you wake him up," Khalil said, which surprised me even more.

"What did you two discuss? I was supposed to follow you that night, but something happened, and I realized I was already sleeping." I told him, and he got up.

"It's because I stopped the time for us to talk without being interrupted. We talk about you. He told me not to scare you about what I said when the Auxier was taken to you," Khalil said, and I was sad.

"So that's why I believe he's afraid I'll leave again. He waited for me for decades; I don't want that to happen again because I dislike being apart from him," I told Khalil.

"I know that. He even told me he loves you so much he wants to marry you," Khalil said, making me happy.

"I know he loves me so much, but the thing about marriage is that it's not the right time yet, but we'll get there soon. We have more adventures ahead of us." I said to Khalil as I looked out the window.
