Chapter 46

Aria's POV

I was smiling and excited the entire time Lucas and I were walking because the rides here were new to me. The last time I went to an amusement park was with my parents, and I can't remember the other rides we rode, but I'm sure it wasn't dangerous.

"Do you want to ride that tilt a whirl? I believe we will have a good time riding it," I heard Lucas say, and when I looked at it, he was correct. It looks as fun as I listen to people screaming and laughing.

"All right, let's go there and record a video," I replied to him, and the man who was the ride's operator welcomed us, and we found a vacant seat.

As I sat down, Lucas prepared his phone to record a video when it moved, which he did while I laughed because the car was circling. And Lucas held my hand and said he would not let me fall for my movements.

"Now you choose which ride we will take," Lucas said, smiling as he looked at his phone.

"You seem happy while watching our video; post it on social media and tag me," I told him, but he shook his head.

"I'd rather save it on my phone than post it; it's a memory to me." Lucas made a remark, to which I did not respond and ignored.

I saw the bumper cars and tapped Lucas on the shoulder to make him look in the direction where I pointed my finger.

"Let's go there; you'll be driving that car," I said, and he smirked.

"All right, let's go there, and you take the video," Lucas said, and I nodded. When we arrived, the man assisting the people assisted us, and we buckled up.

"You two passed the height requirements, sir. Do you know how to control and drive?" The operator said, and Lucas nodded as he started driving, and I picked up my phone from my bag.

I started filming when someone bumped us, and when I looked at the two men, they were glaring at us, and I believe this is what Khalil was referring to.

"Are you all right, Aria?" Lucas asked, and I returned to my senses and looked at him.

"Yes, I was just surprised that someone bumped into us, and I had no idea the impact would be so powerful," I replied as I checked myself. He continued driving while I looked at the two men who were still operating, and it appeared that they would hit us again.

"Turn left," I said to Lucas, and he did as I said, and the two men were irritated when we turned left.

"I noticed two men who want to bump us again; do you want to stop and let's go for another ride?" I shook my head at Lucas' suggestion.

"It looks like fun here, so let's bump them back," I said to him, and he smirked as he turned right to bump the two men wearing black and white hoods.

I was surprised to see their eyes red glow after Lucas bumped them, and I touched Lucas' hand.

"It's our enemy. We need to stay away from them! I think Kai is controlling them to kill us today," I reminded Lucas. The latter immediately stopped the car and unbuckled our seat belts.

"Thank you for riding the bump car, sir and ma'am," the operator said, and we turned around to see them get off as well. I held Lucas' hand as we hurriedly walked away from the bumped car.

"Let's go somewhere they won't be able to find us quickly!" I told Lucas, and we arrived at the Ferris wheel, where we both entered.

The Ferris wheel slowly moved as we rode there until we reached the highest point. Lucas gripped my hand tightly, and I worried they would use their strength to jump so high.

"Do you want me to contact Khalil?" When I asked Lucas, he was looking down.

"No! I'm capable of dealing with them. It's fine if everyone saw me but not you because you're the eternal master." Lucas stated, and the battle suit was given to him.

"What are your plans, Lucas? Going outside is risky," I yelled at him, and all he did was tap my hand.

"It's okay; I can devise a plan while fighting. That's how strong I am. Trust me on this one," Lucas clarified before opening and closing the door with his dark power while I was inside.

"This is his stupid idea right now; he doesn't care if there are more of them; what if something goes wrong?" Taking a deep breath, I told myself that I could communicate with Khalil even though he was far away.

"Can you hear me, Khalil? Do you see where I am? I'm at the Ferris wheel, and Lucas went out to fight the two men following us, which we discovered were Kai's men." I said to Khalil and was surprised to see Khalil floating while running.

He entered and used his barrier; when I looked down, Lucas was fighting the two men, and I was concerned.

"Thank god you're here! Should I contact the others?" I inquired of Khalil.

"I believe he can defeat those two men; they aren't that strong," Khalil assured, and I remained calm as something dropped on top of us.

"Stay here, master; I'll deal with him!" Khalil exclaimed and exited.

I needed to do something, so I put on my battle outfit and pulled out my sword. Since they were all outside, I used one of my powers, wind power, to blow away the two men.

Lucas was surprised when the two men flew away, and I was surprised when one of them flew towards me, and the mirror broke, and I used my sword to block my face, so the shattered glasses did not hit my face and eyes.

"Aria, you must jump! You are capable of flying!" I heard Lucas yell and used my dark power to destroy the other door in my back. I was shocked when something squeezed my waist and pulled me up.

"I need some assistance here!" I yell and use my electric power to attack the men pulling me up and won't let go, I fall but use my strength to float, and I see Lucas fighting the other one.

"Electricity will not kill me!" I heard the enemy laugh in front of me, and when I looked at him, he punched my face, which caused me to fall to the ground, but I quickly recovered.

When I touched my nose, I noticed blood on the ground. I was irritated that he dared to punch my lovely face.

"The curse will work on you! I'm going to kill you right now," I remarked, pointing my finger at him and using my curse power to keep him from killing himself incessantly.

I stood up when he screamed in pain, and Khalil came down with blood on his mouth.

"Has your adversary died?" Lucas nodded when I asked.

I saw people screaming, and when I looked in the front, I saw five men with red auras on their bodies, and I believed Ryder was controlling them.

When I look at Lucas, I see him killing the men he was fighting, approaching us, and ready to fight again.

"Should I contact the others right now?" I inquired, and Lucas returned my gaze.

"Yes, please contact them. Khalil is now with us to protect you." Lucas then attacked the five men while Khalil stood beside me.

"I will provide assistance, so call them now!" Khalil spoke up, and I nodded.

"The eight protectors have been summoned by me, Aria Ximena! I need your assistance and protection until the fight is over." As I recited the command spell and cut my palm using my sword that Khalil had taught me earlier, I noticed auras from my body and the eight protectors appearing in front of me, all dressed in the battle outfit and ready for battle.
