Chapter 61
Kai's POV
When the curse in me attacked me again, I kneeled to catch my breath as the pain worsened, but I had to endure it, and I noticed Ryder was concerned about me, so he approached me and helped me get up.
"Are you all right? Is the curse power attacking you again?" Ryder asked me with concern, and he let me sit first.
"I'm fine, and the curse has attacked me again. I thought I would find a solution to remove the curse in me," I tell him, catching my breath, and he picks up the tea he had made and hands it to me.
"Perhaps we should explore more of the Auxier Kingdom. Aria is brilliant, and we know she can devise a strategy that will catch us off guard," Ryder suggested as Erza entered my room.
"Are you returning to the company? Everyone wants to talk to you because, after the incident in Lucas' company, you didn't return," Erza responded. She handed me the document containing Aria's parents' information.
"Is this the only personal information I require? So she has parents in this day and age?" I asked her while looking at the documents, and she nodded before I opened the document.
"About the company, someone will take over, but the reports will still be checked by me; if I die, he will take that company, and I don't care because I only need the Auxier Stone," I explained, surprised by the information about Aria's parents.
"They're still alive, and the location is familiar to me," I said, puzzled as to why there's no record of them having a child.
"Why is there no record of the number of children?" As I scanned the documents, I asked Ezra.
"I'm not sure, and I think Aria has already settled her memories in her parents; I think she erased the memories of having a child," Erza said, and I smirked because I knew Aria was going to erase their memories.
"Even if she erases it, I'll use her parents as bait," I explained as I put back the paper in the brown envelope.
"We'll make our next move right away! Let's go to Aria's parents now," I stood up and said.
"I'll go to their mansion and inform them," Ryder said as he exited the house, and I nodded.
"What should I do, brother?" Erza inquired.
"You'll accompany me; let's talk to her parents and tell them who their daughter is," I said, and she smirked evilly.
Aria's POV
"I have four rooms in my house, but I think four people in one room will suffice," Madison said as we arrived at her barn.
"We'll explore again tomorrow and rest for the day; do you want something to eat?" Lucas asked the other protectors to go to their room.
"Are you planning on sharing a room or not?" Madison inquired as to when Lucas and I were closer right now.
"Yes, we will share one room because she's my girlfriend," Lucas added, and Madison took my hand in hers as if to tell me something.
"You can't have a child right now because you have a mission to complete first," Madison suggested. When I looked at Lucas, he was now staring at the refrigerator.
"We will not have a child right now, but we will marry someday. Why did you tell me that if I have a child, that will happen?" When I asked her, I noticed Khalil approaching me, sniffing my feet and staring at Madison.
"I can't tell you right now, but I will soon," Madison said as she tapped my shoulder and walked away.
"I'll cook our food today," Lucas said, and I was taken aback.
"Why are you going to cook when Wyatt can?" I inquired of him.
"Do you happen to see him around? I'll prepare our food while he's in the room with the other protectors." I approached Lucas after he responded.
"Then let's cook together," I suggested, and he smiled at me.
"Okay, if you say so," Lucas said, and we began to cook something. At the same time, I wore the kitchen apron and hair net. Lucas prepared the necessary ingredients.
While we were cooking, I noticed Wyatt and Isaac approaching us, and I believe they were ready to cook.
"Master? You're going to cook something today?" Wyatt inquired after approaching us.
"Lucas has said he will cook; is that okay with you?" I inquired of him.
"It's fine because I teach the other protectors how to cook, but I didn't teach you how. Do you know how?" Wyatt inquired.
"Don't be concerned about me; I know how to cook. In this day and age, I used to cook for my parents," I added. When I was done cooking, Lucas was done cooking another food also.
"I'll prepare the plate and other things that need to be prepared," Wyatt said, and I nodded as I noticed Isaac making drinks for us.
"Taste it, Aria," I heard Lucas say, and he already had a teaspoon with food on it. I tasted it, and it was delicious.
"It's good. You're good at this," I told him, and he smiled as he turned down the heat on the stove.
"Taste mine," I said, picking up a spoon, scoping out the food I'd prepared, and having him taste it.
"It's also delicious; let's put this on the table right now," Lucas said, and I nodded. I picked up the food, and Jaxon picked up what I was holding.
Lucas prepared egg-fried rice that could feed fifteen people and smelled delicious. In comparison, I prepared fried salmon for up to fifteen people I used to cook with my parents before and prepared the ingredients we would use.
"Let me assist you, master," Jaxon offered, and I was surprised he was here because I thought he was in the room.
I had to stop smiling when I saw Kai. It was like a hologram, and he wasn't there; I saw his evil smirk and my parents in this modern, but they vanished after showing it to me.
"Master, are you all right?" Irish inquired, and I looked at her.
"Kai has them!" They stopped preparing after I yelled.
"What do you mean he got them?" Lucas inquired, and I revealed my battle outfit.
"My parents are in danger!" They were all stunned when I yelled.
"Aria, calm down. How did you know that?" Lucas inquired, and I noticed Khalil rush over here.
"That is correct! Her parents are in danger!" When Khalil and I saw the eight protectors gathered, Madison came over to join us.
"What's the matter?" Madison inquired.
"We'll be back after we settle something in our place," Lucas said quickly, and we teleported to my house.
When I noticed a police car nearby, I removed my battle outfit, as did the nine protectors, and proceeded to the house, where the police stopped me.
"Are you a relative? This is the scene of a crime," The cops inquired.
"She is, so let her go," Lucas stated, and the police let me in. And when I went inside the house, I saw mom and dad, who were scared and shocked.
"Aria! What happened to you?! We're on the lookout for you!" Mom asked, and they came to hug me and remembered me?
"Are you two all right? What occurred?" I didn't bother asking them why they knew me again.
"Someone came here and did something to us; I'm not sure what it was, but he said we'd die if you didn't show up," Dad was terrified, and I was shocked when someone grabbed my hair, which is why I screamed.
"Aria!" I heard my mother scream, and the nine protectors had arrived because I screamed.
"Leave her alone!" Lucas yelled, and I saw them enraged as Kai grabbed my hair.
"Why would I do that? It's time to fight again," Kai added, I use teleportation, and I'm in his back right now.
My parents were shocked when I kicked him.
"Logan, please teleport my parents to the Lucas mansion!" I instructed him, and he nodded before picking up my mother and father and teleporting.
"I believe it is time to teach you another lesson! You're only a kid! You don't deserve the Auxier!" Kai said he was about to use his power, but I again revealed my battle outfit.
"Kill him!" I ordered my protectors, dressed in battle gear and attacking Kai as if I were controlling them.
*"When you command them with one word, they will follow and never stop unless you say so,"* I remember the first master of Auxier told me in my dream.
