Chapter 30
Aria's POV
"Fight, Aria; I know you can do it!" I heard Khalil because I've been running since the battle began, evading attacks, and I'm at a loss for what to do, and the place I was going seemed to have no end!
"I intend to fight; I'm just formulating a strategy! I promise not to be hurt!" I said to Khalil as I continued to evade my opponent's attack, and I saw a damaged sword and took it.
I pick it up and turn to face the enemy, who is laughing maniacally. Is there something wrong with my face? I shook my head because I needed to concentrate.
"If I defeat you, you will never laugh again!" I yelled and attacked him with the sword I had picked up, but it had some damage on its blade. I recall using a technique called sword thrust before.
"Are you certain about that?" I was surprised because he spoke, and his voice was distorted, and I'm not sure if Khalil did that.
"I'm not afraid of you; I'm just planning when I'll attack you!" I said, and I attacked him more, and we fought.
While we are fighting, I notice he has power around him because there is an aura around him, and I recall my curse power, which I tried to use and was surprised because it worked. Because of the strong wind, I backed away from the enemy, and I looked at him as he tried to stand up.
He attacks again, and I prepare to defend myself with my sword; he is now using his dagger, and I smirk because this gives me the advantage. I will try to use the dark and curse power; I will grab his arm to disarm his weapon.
"This will hurt, so you must bear it!" I said this and used my curse and dark powers. I saw green and violet auras, but they exploded, and I flew away but quickly recovered.
I got hurt in my right hand and stood up again, but I felt the pain in my head and couldn't get out of it; I screamed in pain and tried to talk, but I couldn't; it was as if I was paralyzed.
"Do you have anything else, Aria?" I looked at the enemy after hearing what he said.
"You are not real! This is not true! I'm just getting the training I wanted!" I yelled, and the ground shook, but the enemy was right in front of me now.
"You are correct. This is not real, and this training is not for you yet, so if I were you, I would not risk myself right now because the Auxier will go insane and destroy your mind and body," he said. I screamed due to the pain in my head and heard a high-pitched sound.
"Please stop! Khalil, make it stop!" I yelled, causing the ground to shake even more, and I could see the rock falling toward me.
"Please let me out!" I screamed again and closed my eyes, but I didn't feel anything hit me, and when I opened my eyes, I was surprised to see water around me in the form of a bubble.
Is this the power of water? I close my eyes again, and when I open them, I'm back in the room, surprised to see Jaxon, who is worried, and Ezekiel and Irish.
"What are you up to, master?! You can't practice your strength right now! You're too frail for that! You require time and guidance; do not push yourself." I felt something drip in my eyes and nose as Irish said this.
"You will be fine, master," Ezekiel said, and he used his healing power, and I felt a warm sensation.
"I'm sorry if I did this; I don't know why the enemy in my mind can even talk and knows my name," I said, and Irish, like Jaxon, was taken aback.
"I created him, but not for him to speak," Khalil explained, and I was perplexed.
"What if it is the Auxier?" Jaxon inquired, looking terrified.
"Why are you scared now, Jaxon?" Irish inquired of Jaxon, who scratched his head.
"I'm afraid if the Auxier has its human figure, he will punish the traitor who is Ezekiel in the past but right now, he changes," Jaxon said as Ezekiel finished healing me.
"I forgot to punish you when you betrayed us, so thank you, Ezekiel. Are you willing to be punished when I'm already 22 years old?" When I asked Ezekiel, he became serious.
"I'm always ready, master; I will never do that again, I hope you forgive me," he said to me, and I nodded and stood up, surprised that I was okay.
"Your power is unique, Ezekiel; there's a reason the first master chose you as the eighth protector," I told him, and he smiled.
"Thank you, master; I will take that as a compliment," Ezekiel said, and I was worried that Lucas would find out.
"Please, no one tell Lucas about this for my sake; he will be worried. I don't want him to be concerned because I'm okay right now," I told the three protectors, and they all nodded.
"We understand. Will not tell him, master, don't worry, I can cook some food for you because I know you need some strength again," Jaxon said, nodding and smiling.
"If you need anything, master, just call us; I'll just prepare your food to make you feel better," Jaxon said.
"Okay, Ezekiel and Irish, you can go back to the flower shop; I'll just rest here," I said to the two as Jaxon exited my room.
Ezekiel and Irish exited my room, and I turned to face Khalil, approaching him and crossing my arms in front of him.
"Did you require anything, master?" Khalil asks, and I look at him.
"It's fine with me if you punish me without using your power," Khalil said, and I took a deep breath.
"I can't believe what happened today; thankfully, the other protectors aren't present. Especially Lucas will be concerned if they arrive." I said as I sat on my bed.
"At the very least, you tried your best to use your power only in your mind; however, the next time, you must be cautious because you are awake in your mind, but your body is not moving. You can die in your mind and then die in real life." Khalil added, I was thinking about doing martial arts training.
"Perhaps I'll start with martial arts training before working on my power," I said to Khalil.
"You need to eat and rest first; Jaxon is preparing food for you," Khalil advised, and he was correct; when I picked up my phone, I saw a text from Lucas.
Lucas: What exactly are you doing? What did you do when I sensed you were in pain?
I was shocked by Lucas' text, and I was afraid to respond because he would call me on the phone if I did!
"Lucas knows it," I murmured, and when I looked at Khalil, he also looked at me.
"Of course, everyone will now. They have a connection to you because you are their master," Khalil said, and I was a fool to think they didn't know, and I also told the three not to tell anyone else.
"If I get caught, I'm afraid to respond to him," I said, feeling sad.
"Don't be sad, master; he's just worried about you, but he won't be able to come home right away because of his work," Khalil said, but Lucas told me that I was his top priority.
"He said I was his priority, so maybe he's on his way home!" I told Khalil and Jaxon to come into my room with his dishes: pork with vegetables and rice.
"What is the problem, master? Is something going on again?" Putting the try on the table, Jaxon said.
"Lucas is aware of what has occurred, and I believe the other protectors are well! What should I do now that I've been apprehended?" I said this while touching my head with my two hands.
"Relax, master; I know Lucas was the one who felt it, but who told you the other felt it as well?" Jaxon inquired.
"Khalil told me," I said, looking at Khalil, now scratching his head with his foot.
"I believe he's teasing you, master," Jaxon said, surprising me.
"You naughty white wolf!" I yelled, and Khalil bolted out of my room.
"Let it go, master; eat the food I cook for you, or it will be cold," Jaxon said, and he cooked pork with vegetables and rice for me and placed the tray on my bed, where I began to eat.
