Chapter 16
Aria's POV
I awoke in the car, remembering that I was supposed to be celebrating my graduation day and birthday; I looked beside me and saw Lucas driving; I was shocked and looked around.
"What exactly happened?" As I stretched out, shaking my head, I asked Lucas.
"Are you awake, and do you really want to know what happened?" Lucas inquired, and I immediately nodded because I assumed it was the Auxier Stone. Still, I don't remember everything from the past.
"The Auxier Stone reacted to the fire earlier at your cake. Everyone was shocked, including me, so I decided to put you to sleep so the Auxier Stone won't use the punishment on Aiden because he's the one with the firepower, so we have to postpone your celebration for now." Lucas said. I don't understand why the Auxier Stone reacted. Aiden didn't hurt me.
"I'm not sure why it happened, but I'm sorry if my celebration was canceled; maybe next time," I said to Lucas as I looked outside the car.
"It's okay. Nobody expected this to happen. Isaac had already packaged the foods you ordered so you could eat them when you got home. We're glad you're okay as well. I believe the Auxier Stone thought Aiden had wronged you and was about to punish him." I was taken aback by what Lucas said.
"I don't have an appetite now. Maybe you eat it. Does this mean that you will be punished if one of you hurts me?" I asked Lucas, and when I looked at him, he nodded.
"Yes, but thank goodness the Auxier Stone no longer reacts when I use my dark spells on you to put you to sleep," Lucas said as I touched my chest.
"When I saw the fire, I had a vision of a flashback in which everything in the place was on fire, and the people who were with me were blurry, and I saw myself laying down with blood, and someone was holding me," I told Lucas as his sports car came to a halt.
"I can't tell you about that; you have to remember it for yourself if the Auxier Stone awakened. Now that you're 18, you have to pay attention to everything." Lucas said to me, and I nodded. I looked outside, and I didn't realize we were already at home.
"Thank you for bringing me home; tomorrow is Saturday, so I might pay you a visit in your mansion if everyone is free," I told Lucas as I unbuckled my seatbelt and opened the car door.
"We will take a break in our work so you can ask whatever you want about Auxier Stone and fighting. We can start teaching you if you want," Lucas said to me, and I smiled and nodded.
"Thank you, and sure," I said as I closed the door and entered the gate. As I approached, Lucas waved his hand and drove away.
I shut the gate and walked into my house, where I saw my parents watching a movie.
"I'm home, mom and dad," I told them, and they looked at me.
"Welcome home, dear; how was your birthday today?" Mom inquired, and I nodded and smiled.
"Yes, I enjoyed my graduation with my friend." I lied to my parents because I didn't want them to be concerned.
"Rest now because I know you're tired, and tomorrow is Saturday, so go wherever you want." Mom said, and I nodded, going upstairs and locking the door as I entered my room.
I took off my clothes and went to the cabinet to get my pajamas, which I put on the bed, then I went to the bathroom, shut the door, and began to wash. While in the shower, I noticed water floating in front of me, which shocked me.
I took a step back and noticed that the water from the shower was now floating, and I'm not sure why; is it the Auxier Stone? But it hasn't been awakened yet, so what's going on?
I believe this is Isaac's power; it was a water power that may have gotten out of hand and is now under my control. I laugh as I pop the little water that is floating.
"This is so cool; I need to tell Lucas about it," I thought to myself as the floating water came down, and I turned off the shower because I was done washing.
I picked up the towel, and after drying my body, I picked up the hairdryer. And after using it, my hair was no longer wet, so I returned the hairdryer to its holder and went outside the bathroom.
I was taken aback when I saw the light blink; is it the electric power? I immediately picked up my phone and dialed Lucas's number, but it was only ringing. No one answered; perhaps he was in the shower.
When I called Jaxon, he answered right away.
[Master?! Hello! You call me a miracle! Is there a problem? Are you all right?] Jaxon asked right away, and I knew he was worried about me.
"I'm fine, but I think my electric power is out of control, and the water power, I don't know why, but it's stopped right now, and I'm afraid if the teleportation power is out of control, I might teleport somewhere I don't know," I told Jaxon.
[Really? Is everything okay with you? How come you didn't call Lucas? I have electric power, and I don't remember what you mentioned. Still, I believe it has something to do with awakening the Auxier Stone,] Jaxon said as I sat down on my bed.
"I really need to talk to Lucas because he knows everything, and he's not answering his phone. Maybe he's taking a shower," I said as I overheard the other protectors conversing.
[Don't worry, master; I'll notify him right away and call you back,] Jaxon said.
"Thank you, Jaxon; I'll end the call now; please notify him," I said as I hung up the phone.
I dressed first, and after putting on my pajamas, I lay down on my bed, waiting for Lucas to call. Suddenly, my phone rang, and I answered it right away.
[Master, I apologize for not returning your call right away. Jaxon informed me of what had occurred; are you okay now? Is there nothing unusual going on?] Lucas inquired, and I smiled because he was a concerned individual.
"Don't worry, I'm fine now; I just want you to explain why that's happening," I told Lucas as I waited for his response.
[The Auxier Stone is about to be awakened; this is a sign; stay calm and don't be angry because we need to be with you when the Auxier awakens.] Lucas stated, and I noticed that he requested a video call, so I simply accepted it.
"Why do you need to see my face when I'm talking?" Lucas smiled when I asked him.
[I can see that you are okay, and if you have trouble sleeping, I can come over to your house and sneak again,] Lucas said, and I laughed.
"You don't have to, and I'm already an adult, but I'm still afraid of being abandoned by someone," I told Lucas. He put his phone somewhere, and I saw his entire body dressed in black pajamas.
[I'm getting ready to sleep; if you want to talk, I won't cut off the call and will wait for you to fall asleep,] Lucas said, and I laughed.
"You don't have to do that; I'm fine," I told Lucas, and he picked up his phone and lay down.
[However, I must ask you, did you know that I was once very close to you?] Lucas said, and I was taken aback.
"You told me to figure it out on my own, so why are you telling me that?" I asked him, and I heard him take a deep breath.
[I just wanted to let you know that, now go to sleep. Goodnight, master,] Lucas said, and I waved my hand as he ended the call.
I felt my heart beat a little faster, then I smiled and shook my head because I'm not sure why I felt that way about Lucas. He's one of my protectors, and I believe it's forbidden to fall in love with one of my protectors.
I placed my phone in the drawer and adjusted my blanket to begin sleeping. I closed my eyes and knew I'd dream about her again, the person calling for me, and she wanted me to do better because I was the eternal master.
But Lucas never mentioned being an eternal master, so I'm not sure what that means. Perhaps it means holding the Auxier Stone forever and not being able to let go of it.
When I awoke early in the morning, I was surprised to see the Auxier Stone outside my body. When I reached out to touch it, it was gone, and I assumed it was only a shadow of the Auxier Stone. I have so many questions for Lucas, and I need to prepare today, even though it is Saturday.
After preparing, I checked myself in the mirror, and my clothes were fine; I was wearing yellow clothes with a sun design. I was wearing black fitted jeans, and I grabbed my white sneakers.
I took my purse bag, exited my room, and went downstairs, where I noticed Mom had finished preparing breakfast.
"Good morning, dear. I knew you were going somewhere today, but did you remember to bring an umbrella? I saw on the news that it was supposed to rain heavily today," My mother said, and I looked at the television, and she was correct.
"Don't worry, mom, I'm always bringing my umbrella," I told her as I sat in the chair to eat my breakfast.
"That's great; will you be seeing your friends? Your nine friends?" Mom inquired.
"I'm only going to see Lucas because my other friends are all busy," I answered my mother, but it was a lie; I didn't want to tell her what was going on with me or who the nine friends I had really are.
