Chapter 7
Third person's POV
Lucas was surveying Aria Ximena's school. They watched her grow up for 15 years, waiting for her to mature. He noticed Aria walking out to the school's gate, and she was all alone because she didn't have any friends and was being bullied.
"Aria, are you already on your way home, or did you forget to give us your money?" Aria's classmate said, looking at them.
"I don't have any money left; I spent it all today," Aria said. Lucas was not moving from his position. He was with the other protectors, watching what was going on with Aria.
"Are we not going to save her?" Lucas used his dark aura power to follow Aria and her classmate after Aiden asked.
"Then let us settle this where you will be hurt!" Aria's classmate said this as they grabbed both of her arms, and Aria tried to break free but couldn't.
"Not yet. Lucas said that the Auxier Stone would react if the master was injured," Lucas said. The other protectors nodded as they followed Aria's classmate and Aria.
"I'll tell my brother about it! My parents, too!" Aria sobbed as her classmates selected the scissors from the bag, and Lucas was taken aback.
"Should we assist or not? You are the first protector, Lucas, and you must decide, or we will suffer if our master is injured!" Logan spoke up, and Lucas approached Aria's classmate, who looked at Lucas.
"How are you, kids? What exactly are you doing to her? You appear to be bullying your classmate, which is illegal. Did you know that a law requires you to spend time in jail if you bully someone? Even so, at such a young age?" Aria's classmate is scared, and they let go of Aria's arms as they run.
"That takes care of them; are you all right?" Lucas asked Aria, and she gathered her scattered belongings. Lucas assisted Aria in picking up her belongings, delivering them to her, and helping her.
"Thank you so much for rescuing me! You appear to be an adult. I can take you out to eat, sir! This is my way of thanking you." Lucas looked at Aria's chest, but the Auxier Stone was not glowing.
"Your welcome, but I saved you for another reason," Lucas said, and Aria was taken aback because Lucas had used his dark aura power.
"Are you the devil or the superhero I saw on TV?" Aria inquired, and Lucas laughed, signaling the eight protectors to emerge from their hiding place.
"We know you're confused, but let us introduce ourselves again. We are the Auxier's Nine Protectors. We are here to be with you again. We are immortals," Lucas said as they knelt before Aria, confusing her.
"What exactly are you saying? I am not your god or your master. But I felt like I met you before, and I'm not sure where it was, but thank you for the offer and the amusing introduction, but I need to go home because my parents will be looking for me." Aria was about to leave when the Auxier Stone reacted and began to glow in her chest.
"What is going on with me? What caused my dizziness?" Aria said this as she was about to fall asleep, but Lucas caught her, and she fell asleep due to the Auxier Stone.
"What happened to her? Why did she pass out? Is she gone? Is it due to the Auxier Stone?" As Isaac struck Jaxon in the back of the head, Jaxon said.
"You fool, she's not dead; are you serious right now, in front of our new master? Let us bring her to our home first." As Lucas lifted Aria to take her to the mansion, Isaac said.
"Are we going to take her to our mansion?" Aiden inquired of Lucas.
"Yes, and I'll need Irish to lie to her parents," Lucas said, looking at Irish and staring at Aria.
"Let me handle it! This is why the first master selected me as the only female protector." As they formed a circle, Logan used his teleportation.
The nine protectors arrived at the mansion and entered. Lucas went on the sofa and placed Aria there as she slept peacefully, and he then went to get a blanket and pillow to place on Aria while she slept.
"This is her phone; we can call her parents," Lucas said, taking the phone from Aria's bag.
"Let me look for her parents' phone number; Of course, I need to lie this time; when her mother wants us to do a video call to see her daughter, I will allow her, but you must hide," Irish said to the eight protectors.
"Don't worry, we'll hide right away," Logan said as Irish dialed Aria's mother's number.
[Hello! Aria, why haven't you returned home yet? Is there something going on? Where have you gone?] This is what Aria's mother told the nine protectors.
"Good evening. I'm Aria's classmate. We're doing our study homework, and she fell asleep at my house." Irish lied as the eight protectors looked at her, and she motioned for them not to look at her.
[Is that correct? Can I see her? I'll start the video call,] Aria's mother said as she turned on the front camera, and the other protectors went upstairs to hide.
"There she is; if she wakes up, I'll tell her I called because she fell asleep. She's tired from studying," Irish said, as Aria's mother nodded.
[This is my first time seeing you, but you are welcome to come to our house and do your homework there if you have time. We are strict with our daughter because she is only 15 years old, and you are also correct? Is your family present? Or do you have an older brother who can reassure you that she will be fine there?] Aria's mother said, and Irish stood up, motioning for someone to approach her and pretend to be her older brother. The person who comes is Lucas.
"This is my older brother; don't worry about Aria; we'll look after her!" As Aria's mother smiled and said her goodbyes, Irish spoke up.
[Okay, just take care if Aria has any problems, just call me on her cellphone, okay I have to go now, so I'll end the call now.] Aria's mother said as she hung up the phone.
"I was about to wither away. Her mother didn't recognize me, even though I visited her daughter at the hospital when she gave birth? It didn't matter because I was too shy to talk to anyone else! And why hasn't she woken up until now? Do we have to scream at her to get her to wake up?" Irish spoke as Lucas surrounded Aria's body with his dark aura.
"If the Auxier Stone detects us nine protectors, we still need to wait," Lucas explained. The Auxier Stone glows at Aria's chest, indicating that they must wait.
Aria opened her eyes after a few hours of waiting and was shocked to see the nine protectors; she stood up, and her heart was racing so fast.
"What am I doing here? Have you kidnapped me?!" Aria is in panic, so Lucas pours her a glass of water.
"Settle down. We did not kidnap you, but there is something we need to tell you," Lucas said as Aria grabbed her head, which was aching slightly due to what Lucas said.
"I remember you; I would treat you because of my classmates who are bullying me," Aria replied as Lucas smiled. The nine protectors were relieved that Aria was okay.
