Chapter 12

Lucas's POV

My day's work is done, so I have to come back here tomorrow to check on the clothing supplies, fix myself, and file everything I finished on my laptop into the appropriate folders.

My secretary entered my office. He approached me and showed me what was on the tablet.

"We have an urgent situation, sir. We need you there to do the job," my secretary said, and I nodded immediately because my work is critical.

"What's going on? Those photos were sent by whom? Is there a traitor in our company?" I inquired, and I'm sure he was curious as well.

"You already know what I mean. Don't tell me what happened. Let's figure it out together." As we walked further into the tailor room, I said this, where I saw three of my employees standing up.

"Please accept my sincere apologies for the urgent situation! Peacock dress for Monday has a lot of damage and alteration that we aren't sure how to present it!" A tailor said this, and I looked at the peacock dress cut with scissors, and it had been torn.

I looked at my secretary and said, "I see the person who did this has scissors, and whoever did this is, is one of my employees, but we are not sure yet who it is."

To my secretary, I said, "I need you to announce that no one will go home, shut down all exits to my company, the emergency exit, and parking lots, and tell the security to keep an eye on each floor of my building." And he exits the tailor's room immediately.

"Give me some new cloth blue and green fabric; I'll fix this myself," I told them their immediate response, and they gave me a piece of blue and green fabric to work with.

My first impression was that the model would be annoyed if she had to wear a too hot and uncomfortable dress, so I checked out the fabric.

"I need a cloth that is not hot from the inside; I need one that is comfortable to wear," As soon as I said, the three tailors nodded. I picked up the materials for making any clothing.

"It's here, sir! Use this fabric because it is soft and comfortable." As I prepared myself in the sewing machine, one of my tailors said something to which I smiled.

If my secretary discovers the traitor, they will be punished because it is against my company's rules. I started making a new peacock dress. When I finished the peacock dress, the three tailors were amazed at what I had accomplished.

"It's a cake for all of us," I said.

"Please accept our sincere gratitude; without your help, we wouldn't know what to do if you arrived home earlier. Thank you for your assistance, which we greatly appreciate; next time, we will do our work even better. We will secure this peacock dress for the Monday event," The tailor, dressed in green and with an apron, commented.

"I will personally secure and protect it; I believe it will be safe if I bring it home. My home is secured by a security system." I started this, and the three tailors agreed.

"You can do that, sir. We hope we find the culprit who did this. We will prepare the dress now to take it home with you," said the tailor, who was dressed in blue. After a few seconds, my secretary went inside the tailor's room, already there.

"Sir, we are still investigating who the culprit is; perhaps he escaped; we will review the CCTV on each floor to find him/her," my secretary said, and I felt my phone vibrate. I picked up my phone and saw that it was 8 p.m.

"We will deal with the perpetrator the next time we meet to continue the investigation. You should go home and rest right now, and I'll bring this peacock dress home to be safe." Everyone nodded as they removed the dress from the mannequin, cleaned it, and placed it in a storage bag that the tailor handed over to me.

"Sir, here you go. Take care, sir, and thank you for your assistance." The tailor said, and the two bowed in respect, and I picked up the dress bag and walked to the elevator to the parking lot.

When I arrived at the elevator, I remembered that my bag was still at the office, so I pushed the floor. I didn't see who texted me when the door closed, but I'll check it when I get to the office to get my bag.

When the elevator stopped, and the door opened, I resumed my walk towards my office, opened the door, picked up my bag, put down the dress bag, and picked up my phone. I just noticed Aria texted me, and it's already 8:30 p.m.

Aria: May I invite you to my home? I need you to sneak up to my window.

Lucas: Wait for me; I'll be right there.

I was stunned by what Aria had texted me, so I quickly returned my phone to my pocket, picked up the dress, and exited my office. When I arrived at the parking lot, I grabbed my alarm remote for my sports car and opened the door.

I put the dress bag in the back of my sports car, then I got into my car, started the engine, and drove to Aria's house. Do I have to notify the other protectors? If they knew Aria needed help and only asked for me, the other protectors would be furious if I didn't tell them.

When I arrived at Aria's house, I discovered it was empty except for her. She stated that her father has a car, but it is not present. I park far away from her house so that no one notices me. After stopping my car's engine and exiting, I used my dark power to lift Aria. I entered the room where she instructed me to sneak through the window, which was open, indicating that this was her room.

I remained vigilant and peered inside the room, where I saw Aria in bed, waving at me. I went inside her room and closed the window.

"I've arrived! What happened? Did you recall something and only wanted to tell me?" When I asked Aria softly, she shook her head and got up.

"Well, I can't sleep; I'm having trouble sleeping," Aria explained, and I laughed a little.

"Is that it? I thought it was a serious issue, but do you want me to sleep?" Aria immediately nodded when I asked her.

"Are you going to use your magic to sleep?" Aria added, when I look at her, I can't wait for her to remember everything.

"I'm not going to use it; I'll just talk to you until you fall asleep," I told Aria as I sat beside her bed.

"All right, that'll help me sleep," Aria stated, and I introduced a topic.

"I recently completed my work. Where are your parents, by the way? Why don't you inform them that you're having trouble sleeping tonight?" Aria became sad when I asked her.

"They are busy. I don't want to bother them, and I can't think of anyone like them. I'm not sure why I texted you," Aria said, and I reattached the blanket to her.

"Okay, I understand; I'm not sure what to ask you, but could you tell me about your hobby? I'll tell you mine after you answer it." Aria smiled as I asked her.

"I enjoy listening to music and watching fantasy and action movies. It's enjoyable to watch them with someone like my parents and you as my protector if you have time." Aria said, and I smiled; I could stop this happiness and butterflies in my stomach right now, but I couldn't tell her about the two of us in the past because I could sense her feelings for me were strong.

"That's good. You know what fantasy is and fighting, and for my hobby, I like to read books and hang out with my friends who are the other protectors; it's been decades, and we treat ourselves like family now," I said to Aria as I noticed her eyes were about to close.

"But now you'll hang out with me on Saturday, and I know it'll be amazing to be with you all; I'm comfortable with every one of you, and all I can see in you all are positive people," Aria said as she closed her eyes and fell asleep.

"You will protect the person if our lives depend on it; we will not make those same mistakes again," I murmured, kissing her forehead as I quietly exited the window.

I looked down; thank goodness no one was around; I believe her parents weren't there, so she couldn't sleep. I paused for a moment, considering whether I should guard her until morning, then returned to her room, gently touching the window and slowly opening it.

I went back into Aria's room, picked up the chair from her study table, sat down on it after placing it beside Aria's bed, and looked around her room; it was plain and simple. I pick up my phone and put it on silent, then I check the group chat and realize I haven't added her there yet.

Lucas: I'm at Aria's house because she texted me that she couldn't sleep and only wanted me to come rather than the other protectors.

Irish: Is she all right? I'm concerned about her.

Logan: Take care of her; I believe she is at ease with you, and we know you love her.

Irish: Logan is correct. Stay with her and never leave her.

Lucas: I'm not going to sleep, and I believe her parents aren't here, so she's all alone.

Elias: Poor master, we will never leave her alone when she remembers everything. I guess she has a fear of being alone.

Lucas: I thought of that as well. Goodnight everyone. I will fetch her to school tomorrow, and I will notify you all.

After sending the last message, I put my phone back. I looked at Aria, who was sleeping peacefully. As I placed her blanket over her, I smiled. I noticed that the Auxier Stone was glowing in her chest, so I stood up.

What is going on? Is there something going on in her dream? I used my dark power to track what was happening in her body and in her mind, and I discovered that her dream was of her past self.

I didn't wake her up because she needed to remember the past little by little, and I don't think it was her nightmare. When I returned to my seat, she grabbed my hand, which surprised me.

"My name is Aria, and who are you?" She murmured, and I believe she is speaking to her past self.

"I know you can do it, Aria. You need to know the name of your past self." I murmured to her, and I heard a car engine stop at the garage, so I quickly removed Aria's hand from my hand.

"Do you believe Aria is already asleep? You know she's scared of being alone," Aria's mother said.

"I believe she is already sleeping," Aria's father said as they entered the house. I slowly opened the window and forgot to bring the chair to Aria's study table.

I use my dark power to move it and place it back. After that, I look at Aria once and then jump so high that I land strictly outside Aria's home. I continued walking as if nothing had happened, and when I arrived at my sports car, I opened all of the doors and went inside. I informed the other protectors that I would be staying at Aria's house. I removed my coat and began to lean on my car seat, guarding Aria against her.
