Chapter 49

Lucas's POV

As we headed downstairs, I noticed everyone was concerned about me, so I approached them and saw Christopher smile back.

"Thank goodness you're okay; you worried us. You know that using too much power will drain us; we need to keep it up," Logan said worriedly, and I understand.

"Yes, I know we can't drain too much power; I'm sorry if I worried you all, especially our master," I apologized to them, and when I looked at Aria, she put her arm around me.

"I'm fine now that Aria hugged me for so long," I said, and Aria's face flushed when I looked at her again.

"Enough with the flirting. We need to talk about Kai's men!" Elias interjected, and I became serious as we walked to the basement of my mansion for a meeting.

"I miss talking to each of you and asking what suggestions you have," Aria said as she sat in the middle, alongside Christopher and Khalil.

"We do the meeting when you're not yet born. We're talking about how to entertain our new master, but we didn't know you'd be our master again. We're thankful you're back with us," Isaac told Aria.

"If I die, I will still be the eternal master, and you will always be my nine protectors," Aria added, and we all nodded before I sat beside her.

"Should we start the meeting?" I asked because I'm the leader when it comes to fighting.

"Yes, let's start the meeting," Aria said, smiling.

"Start now, Lucas," Aria said, and I nodded before placing my hand on the table.

"As you all know, Ryder's manipulation is becoming more powerful, and he can control many people with his power. We must be more cautious because he may one day be able to control us." As I began to speak with them, they nodded while Aria listened.

"When it comes to rescuing innocent people, we have Christopher on our side. He's the one who calls for the rescue team and ambulance, but strangely, the police arrived today, and he wasn't the one who called them," I said, thinking Kai did it.

"I think Kai did it, but he wasn't present earlier at the fight," Jaxon added, and I nodded, agreeing that he was correct. Kai was not present at the battle scene.

"Can you track the police number and look at the phone call history, Jaxon?" Aria asked Jaxon, who was taken aback.

"I can do that, but I need a computer and a laptop, so maybe tomorrow I'll go out and buy a computer and a laptop," Jaxon said as I stood up from my seat.

"You can use my laptop as a temporary solution. We need to track down who did it," I told Jaxon, and he didn't say anything as I walked out of the basement and into my room, where I picked up my laptop.

When I returned to the basement, I heard Aria laughing. When I arrived, they had stopped talking, and I was perplexed about what they were discussing.

"How come you're laughing in the middle of a meeting?" Aria didn't respond, and I could tell she was trying to hide her happy face.

"She just made a joke about you," Jaxon said, surprising me.

"Jaxon! Stop it! I didn't say anything to him!" Aria explained, and I didn't mind because the most important thing right now is to track the history of phone calls at the police station near Rainbow Amusement Park.

"Shall we concentrate on our object? Start looking for the person who called the cops, and we'll continue the conversation and listen to it," I told Jaxon, who just nodded.

"Are we going to plan how we'll approach Kai if he shows up and wants to fight us?" Aria inquired, and I nodded.

"That's right, look what happened earlier at the amusement park, we didn't have a strategy, and everyone kept fighting; it was chaotic," I said, and when I looked at Jaxon, he was serious about finding out who did it.

"Give me 30 minutes; I can track it; I will do this quickly," Jaxon said, and Aria placed her hand on her cheek as if bored.

"Why do you appear to be sleepy right now?" Aria looked at me and smiled when I asked her.

"I'm not sleepy; I'm waiting for you to finish your speech," Aria replied, and I resumed my conversation with everyone.

"I need you to be partners, Aiden and Wyatt, if you want to combine your power, which is for Aiden the firepower and Wyatt the wind power," I said, and they nodded.

"Isaac and Jaxon, you will combine your powers if necessary because the Electric is more powerful if combined with water," I suggested, and they nodded. I then looked at Ezekiel and Elias, then Irish.

"We can't combine our power because I'm earth power, and Ezekiel is healing power," Elias observed.

"Elias, you can combine your power with Irish because you have earth power, which means you can create something big like Irish because she has herb power," I said, and Elias nodded as Irish did.

"That's all. We'll plan another one if Kai is the one who told us to fight on what day he said, but for now, let us wait for Jaxon," I told them, and they nodded before Aria stood up.

"I wish I had your power," says one. I heard Christopher and Aria go upstairs, and she didn't wait for Jaxon to find out who called the cops.

"I will follow, master," Khalil said, waggling his tail.

"Khalil, observe her. Something is not right; I believe she's sleepy," I said to Khalil, and he went upstairs, and we were just waiting for Jaxon.

"I discovered his location! It's Kai!" Jaxon added, and when I look at the phone number on the laptop, it's the same as Kai's number.

"I'll tell Aria; I think she was mad when the cops arrived," I told the other protectors.

"Okay, do that; I'll save this information on your laptop. Is that all right?" Jaxon inquired.

"It's fine, but don't open my business folder; it contains all of my company's confidential files," I told him, and he just gestured.

I went upstairs to check on Aria, and when I got to Aria's room, I saw Khalil outside, which confused me.

"What happens? Did she say anything hurtful to you?" I inquired of Khalil.

"She's acting strange right now; I'm not sure why," Khalil said as I knocked three times on the door and entered.

"You astounded me! What exactly are you doing here?" Aria inquired, and I noticed her sitting on her bed, hugging her legs.

"May I ask why you are behaving strangely right now? Is it because I want us to make love?" Aria's eyes widened as I inquired, and she blocked the pillow in front of her.

"It's about making love; I'm not sure why I can't stop thinking about it!" Aria stated, and I laughed.

"I'm sorry if the request surprised you, but I promise I'll be gentle with you," I assured Aria, who remained silent.

"I know you're gentle when making love; I remember the sex we had in the past," she said as I moved the pillow slowly, her face still flushed.

"I'd like to do something to distract myself; can we practice?" Aria asked, and I was taken aback.

"But it's already night," I pointed out, and she was taken aback.

"I didn't realize time passed so quickly," she said, looking at the clock.
