Chapter 33
Third person's POV
Lucas is leaving now, and it's already 11 p.m. in the middle of the night. As he exited his office, he noticed his secretary getting ready to go to fix his things.
"I'm glad the Eternal Dress was finished today, sir. The audience will be surprised by your work," the secretary replied, tapping Lucas on the shoulder.
"I nearly forgot. Did you discover who the company's traitor is?" Lucas inquired his secretary.
"I didn't find him/her, but I'll do my best tomorrow; don't worry, sir, I'll handle it, and whoever is responsible will pay." According to Lucas' secretary.
"I trust you; be cautious when you return home." As they parted ways, Lucas said, and his secretary nodded.
Lucas took the private elevator while his secretary took the emergency stairs; the elevator stopped on the ground floor, near the parking lot. The elevator door opens, and Lucas exits, pressing the button on his sports car remote to turn off the alarm system.
He opened the door to his sports car and went inside, buckled his seatbelt, and then started the engine and began driving. While driving, he thought about Aria, wondering if she was already sleeping because it was 11 p.m.
Fortunately, there was no traffic when Lucas arrived at his house, and he parked his sports car first in his garage, then exited the car and closed all the doors. He noticed that the lights in the living room had been turned off, so he went inside quietly, looking around to see if anyone was still awake.
"Welcome back," Khalil welcomed. Lucas was surprised to see the white wolf in the living room.
"You almost gave me a heart attack, and I thought there was an enemy!" Lucas exclaimed, prompting Khalil to rise from his fetal position and approach Lucas.
"Aria is still awake. She is looking forward to seeing you. She doesn't want me to go upstairs into her room because the other protectors are now sleeping," Khalil suggested. Lucas takes off his coat.
"Thank you for saying that, Khalil; you should now rest. I'll speak with Aria myself." Lucas spoke up, and Khalil returned to the sofa to lie down and close his eyes.
Lucas went upstairs, and when he arrived at Aria's room, he knocked three times before entering. Aria was sitting on the sofa near her master king bed, using her phone.
"Hello, and welcome back. How is your job going? I'm not sleepy yet, possibly because I was thinking about you." Aria said as she put down her phone, and Lucas laughed as he closed the door and approached Aria.
"My work went well; let us begin; do you have any news for me?" Lucas inquired of Aria.
"You should scold me first; I know you're upset about what I did in the morning," Aria said, then Lucas held her hand.
"I'm not angry; I'm just concerned about you, so what did you do earlier?" Lucas asked Aria, who was nervous.
"Khalil was attempting to teach me how to control my power, but I was in my mind, and the fight was not even real, but it felt real. Unfortunately, I need more practice," Aria spoke while Lucas sat quietly listening.
"The enemy I was fighting can speak, and he's telling me that the training for power control isn't yet for me," Aria said, clutching his hand tightly, and Lucas was taken aback.
"I'm not sure who you're referring to, the guy who is your enemy; Khalil created that so you could control your power?" Lucas inquired, and Aria immediately nodded.
"I get it. Maybe it's the Auxier telling you to stop doing that training because you're not ready yet," Lucas clarified, leaving Aria stunned and perplexed as to why the Auxier was speaking to her.
"That is unusual. I had no idea the Auxier could communicate with me and warn me my entire life," Aria said. Lucas tapped Aria on the shoulder.
"I told you the Auxier Stone is inside you; it can enter your dreams and mind, and it will give you a hint or a warning," Lucas explained. Aria simply nodded, realizing why the Auxier was so erratic during her training.
"I understand that I will not do that again, and I will not force myself; perhaps I can train myself using a sword; is that okay? While the school has not yet begun?" Lucas thought when Aria asked him.
"All right, I'll let you practice martial arts and sword skills, but you can't use your original sword," Lucas advised Aria as she nodded.
"What? I'm not going to use it! Because I'm not yet 22 years old!" Lucas smiled as he touched Aria's head and her long hair.
"You should rest now; I know you're tired," Lucas said, and Aria stopped her from leaving.
"I need to tell you something," Aria said, and Lucas was perplexed about what Aria was thinking.
"Okay, but hurry because you need to sleep." Lucas was surprised as he watched Aria pick up the potato chips.
"Why are there potato chips here? Are we going to have a lengthy discussion?" Lucas inquired, and Aria simply giggled, so Lucas understood Aria's thoughts.
Aria told Lucas about her strategy, and Lucas understood it and added some ideas.
"Combining different powers that we use? You might regret it," Aria was taken aback when Lucas said this.
"Why would I regret doing so? Do you know what will happen if the powers are combined?" Aria inquired, and Lucas pinched Aria's nose.
"Of course, you'll go insane if we combine our powers as the protector. But do you understand why?" Aria was even more surprised when Lucas said this.
"Why? Do you have any other ideas?" Aria inquired of Lucas, who responded quickly.
"It's because half of the Auxier Stone is in our bodies. If we combine our powers, it will create another Auxier Stone. Then you will lose us," Lucas explained, and Aria was taken aback.
"I didn't realize, then let's change the plan," Aria said, but Lucas knelt before her.
"I'll plan when we'll fight the Blawnox again; trust me, and don't tell me I'm too busy because of my job. Because everyone is busy, we will always make time for you because you are our priority no matter what. We need a better plan first. We need to stop working and find a temporary replacement for our job position," Lucas said; Aria nodded, and Lucas made Aria sit.
"Do you have a piece of paper on which you sketch or write the plan?" Lucas inquired, and Aria nodded before picking up the folded paper and handing it to Lucas.
"Yes, and Jaxon used the paper for his painting," Aria said as she handed Lucas the folded paper.
"I see, but I will revise this and discuss it with you on Saturday. Is that okay?" Lucas inquired once more, and Aria simply nodded.
"It's all right! Is it correct that tomorrow is Thursday?" Aria asked, and Lucas nodded.
"Would you like to go somewhere? I can take you to my event tomorrow, but you must wear a lovely dress." Aria blushed as Lucas said this.
"Does your event take place at night?" Aria inquired, and Lucas nodded.
"I'll show you the dress I made, and you'll be surprised," Lucas said, and Aria was overjoyed.
"I'm looking forward to tomorrow!" Aria exclaimed with glee.
"Now you go to sleep, and I'll sleep as well; should I call Khalil to guard you here?" Lucas asked Aria as she prepared to sleep.
"You don't have to; I believe he's already sleeping; don't wake him," Aria said. Lucas simply nodded as he exited the room, and Aria closed the door,
Aria was overjoyed because she would be with the person she loved tomorrow, and she believed it was a date for both of them. But Aria had no idea that Kai Yarrow was the one who stole Lucas' design, the Neo Dress. Aria sat down on her bed and was already dressed in her pajamas.
She took out her phone and posted that she was delighted today and that tomorrow would be a special day for her. After seeing Aria's post, Christopher was concerned because he suspected something terrible would happen the next day.
Aria placed her phone in the drawer and grabbed the blanket before closing her eyes. Her heartbeat is racing because Lucas has always been soft, kind, and gentle to her.
