Chapter 40

Aria's POV

We already know where Kai is. We assumed he would move every month, but we were mistaken. He lives in the house with Erza and Ryder, and we are still investigating whether they have more men to fight us.

It's been four years since our lives have been quiet. The most recent accident was the destruction of Lucas's company building, which is got renovated already. And enhanced today is also my birthday, and we'll be celebrating once I get home from my date with Lucas. I graduated from college and received my diploma seven months ago. It's already December this month, which is fortunate because I was hired.

"Aria! After my shift, let's all walk home together!! Isn't today your birthday?" Tia clung to my arm, which took me by surprise.

I'm currently working as a Management Trainee at the café and a writer when I get home. It's good for me to have both incomes in my work, but Lucas was concerned about me because I handle two jobs.

"I will meet my boyfriend. Today, Tia, but I'll be available tomorrow! You are welcome to treat me tomorrow!" I told Tia because I knew she'd treat me the way she always did.

"You always put your boyfriend first! I haven't seen him yet; when will you show him to me?" Tia inquired, and I scratched my head.

"I'm thinking about it. He's busy at work; I told you he owns a fashion company," I said, surprising her.

"I'm aware of this, and I'm curious why you didn't work for him instead of here. Anyway, he'll come for you here?" Tia inquired, and I replied with a smile.

"I want to work on my own and stand on my own two feet; I don't want to rely on him. He's not coming here; I told him I'd take a taxi, meet at the place we planned, and my shift is already over," I told Tia, who pouted.

"I wish I had a boyfriend as well. Alright then, see you tomorrow." Tia said this, and we parted ways as I waved my hand, and she walked away.

I'm still waiting for Lucas outside the café; I lied to Tia because I don't want her to get involved with me. Because I am Auxier's eternal master, I am 22 years old today, and I am prepared for anything that may occur today.

When I saw Lucas's sports car stop in front of me, I opened the door and went inside. When I finished fastening my seat belt, Lucas kissed me.

"How is your job going? What are your plans for today? I told the other protectors that I would date you today because it was your birthday, and we could go home late tonight." As Lucas drove, I was considering where we should go.

"Would you like to go somewhere I only know?" Lucas asked, and I looked at him, unsure what he meant.

"Do you intend to ask me if I want to have sex with you?" When I asked him, he was surprised and stopped driving.

"What exactly did you say? Why are you considering it? Do you desire it?" Lucas responds, and I laugh because he was also taken aback.

"I'm already grown up, so it's okay for me; in the past, we did it as well; I know you want to do it again, but you know I'm a virgin again," I said to Lucas, and I could hear him take a deep breath.

"It's fine with me, but are you sure? It's been so long since we've had sex," Lucas said, and I felt a warm sensation on my cheek.

"Would you prefer to do it at a hotel or at your home?" When I asked him, he just smiled.

"Why my home? The other protectors are there, and Khalil, a white wolf, can hear us," Lucas suggested. As I'm contemplating what to do next, I bring up the subject of sex.

"First, we can eat because it's dinner time, and then we can do it," I told Lucas, and he looked at me.

"Perhaps I don't think this is the right time to have sex with you. You just turned 22 years old; I need to observe you first because of the Auxier stone inside of you," Lucas said, and he was correct.

"You're right, let's just eat somewhere; I like to eat at Korean restaurants," I told him, and he nodded and drove away.

When I picked up my phone, I saw a text message from Christopher, and when I opened it, he said he had bought a cake for me and was now at my house. I told him that we'd go home once we finished eating dinner.

We arrived at the Korean Restaurant after a few minutes of driving. Lucas was the first to exit, followed by me unbuckling my seat belt and exiting. As we approached the Korean restaurant, I shut the door, and Lucas used the alarm remote to lock all of the doors of the sports car.

"Good evening, sir. Do you have a reservation?" The waiter inquired of Lucas.

"I don't have any, but do you have a seat in the VIP room? I will pay for it" Lucas requested that the waiter and I select the menu here at the desk.

"We have a vacant VIP room, sir; you can order now and just wait there," The waiter said, and I chose what I was going to eat, a buffet plus samgeopsal, us beef bulgogi. There was an eat-all-you-can-promote.

"I'll go with Set A. It looks delicious," I chose, and Lucas told the waiter what drink we would order.

"Okay, then. Follow me," The waiter said. I hold Lucas' hand while following the waiter.

We arrive at the VIP Room with a Korean design and a Japanese ambiance. There was an LCD TV in front and a Korean barbeque table in the middle with exhaust so that the smoke and smell do not spread. We entered, and I sat first, followed by Lucas. The waiter exited the VIP room, and I was surprised when Lucas moved closer to me.

"Are you sad because I'm not interested in having sex right now? If you want, we can sleep together tonight, but no sex?" Lucas asked, and I looked at him.

"You should sleep with Khalil; I'm fine sleeping alone tonight," I told him, and I heard him laugh.

"All right, let's take a picture now," Lucas said while using his phone and touching my waist to get closer to him.

I smiled, then he clicked the capture, and I saw him post it on social media and send it to the group chat, and I smiled because I could feel his love for me.

"Tag me on the post you didn't tag me," I said to Lucas, and he did, and I reacted to his post before sharing it.

After waiting for fifty minutes, the food we ordered arrived as we prepared the Korean grill table and began to cook, and it was delicious. I'm excited to eat now, and after the wait, I began to photograph the food while Lucas waited for me to eat.

The restaurant offers an unlimited meat promotion, which means you can eat as much as possible. They also have kimchi and cabbage. They also have a sauce they have created for the meat; when you grill and brush it here, it looks like bacon to me because it is thin.

The waiter also advised us that we could call him in advance if we needed anything else because it was an all-you-can-eat buffet. I was glad I was with Lucas while preparing and eating our food.
