Chapter 24

Aria's POV

We arrived at the company, and I unbuckled my seatbelt, exited Lucas' sports car, and fixed my clothes. Lucas locked all of the car doors with the remote alarm, and he looked at me.

"Why did you ask if I was nervous?" I asked him, knowing he had been teasing me earlier.

"I just wanted to ask because I assumed you were using your phone to distract yourself because you were shy." I rolled my eyes as Lucas asked.

"It wasn't shyness; I was thinking about the spiritual animal that appeared." I apologize for not informing you of this, "I said to Lucas, and he took my hand in his.

"It's all right. I understand that I don't want to disturb you from thinking about important things." I smiled as Lucas said this.

"Let's go back to your office so you can get back to work," I said as we approached the elevator.

"It depends if my secretary left important paperwork on my desk; if he didn't, let's talk about the spiritual animal since you're thinking about it," Lucas advised, and I simply nodded as we entered the elevator.

"Would you like to go to the convenience store before we go home?" Lucas asked me a question.

"What are you going to buy there?" I inquired.

"What about ice cream? Don't you want a late-night snack?" The elevator door opened, as Lucas said to me.

"All right, let's go there later after your work," I said to Lucas, and I could tell he wanted to be with me longer, possibly because he had missed me for a long time.

I smirked and squeezed his hand, and he was taken aback by what I did. We arrived in front of his office, and I looked for his secretary, but it appeared he was not here.

"Why did you squeeze my hand?" Did you exact your vengeance because I previously squeezed your hand?" Lucas inquired.

"No, it's not revenge; I see your secretary hasn't returned yet," I said to Lucas, and he looked at his secretary's desk.

"You're right, perhaps he's still with his friends taking a lunch break," Lucas said as we entered the office.

"You're referring to the other employee?" Is he close to others?" I asked Lucas and sat down on the couch.

"He is, and that is good; I don't have any paperwork right now, so let's talk about spiritual animals while I'm not busy," Lucas said as he removed his coat and approached me to sit.

"I'll start telling you now, but first lock the door; what if your secretary comes here and we get caught?" Lucas was taken aback when I said this.

"You are correct! Allow me to close the doors," Lucia said, closing the door with his dark power.

"About the spiritual animal, I was thinking about, what if he got involved in the fight and that's why he was chosen?" Lucas was perplexed when I asked him.

I'm not sure about that; it's my first time seeing that white wolf; he's never shown himself before, but did you talk to him last night or did he come out this morning?" Lucas inquired.

He showed up last night and we talked for a few minutes, "I told him," and he nodded.

"What did you discuss?" Is it about us or just about him?" Lucas was curious.

"It was about what will happen now that I'm the Eternal Master of Auxier, and he told me that the Blawnox will not just take the Auxier Stone, but they planned to kill me, so I should always be ready, but I'm not scared, because if I become scared, the enemy will have a chance to kill me, so I must be prepared and protect the Auxier Stone." I told Lucas

"It appears he has a power in that he can see the future," Lucas observed, and I was taken aback.

"Khalil told me that he would be the one to guide me and protect me," I told Lucas as he nodded and thought.

"He's not one of us." No one mentioned the spiritual animal. "It looks like it was for you, and Khalil will protect you no matter what," Lucas said, and he was right. Maybe that's why he can see the future and change it.

"I believe he has time travel abilities that allow him to change the past; what do you think?" When I asked Lucas, he stood up and crossed his arms.

"We can ask that later when we get home; you said you'd explain everything about him to the other protectors, but now you've told me first," Lucas said, and as I stood up to look at the windows, I noticed Khalil floating outside Lucas's building.

"Hello, Khalil!" I greeted him, pointing to the white wolf, and Lucas looked at it.

I saw Khalil enter here, and I believe he used his power to do so.

"How did you find out I was here?" Khalil approached me after I asked him

"I can sense the Auxier here. Wherever you are, I can find you," Khalil said, and I noticed my chest glowing before it vanished.

"Thank goodness you're here because of the Auxier!" We were talking about you," Khalil sat down, scratching his head and sniffing, as I said.

"Did you tell him about our conversation last night?" Khalil inquired, and I nodded.

"Aria told me about the dream as well; could you explain it right now?" Lucas inquired, "Khalil?" who closed his eyes.

"I'll explain everything later. This place isn't safe for the time being to tell you about what happened in Aria's dream last night," Khalil said, and I was taken aback.

"All right, we'll listen to your explanation later; you're right, this isn't safe, but at Lucas' house it is safe, where we'll discuss the Auxier and you as well," I told Khalil as I heard a knock on the door.

"Go now, Khalil! Lucas' secretary has arrived!" I was perplexed because he was not moving and remained calm.

"I told you no one would see me except someone close to you," Khalil said, and Lucas opened the door and his secretary looked at me.

"Hello, Ms. Ximena." Please accept my apologies for interrupting your conversation. I simply smiled as Lucas' secretary said, while Khalil remained calm.

"Is there something wrong?" Lucas asked his secretary, and I turned away because I knew Lucas would take care of his business.

I approach Khalil, who is still sitting calmly, and stare at him because I was looking at his eyes to see if there was a scar, but I can't see one in either of his eyes. In my dream, he had the scar; I'm not sure why he doesn't have it now; perhaps because the Auxier removed it for him?

"Thank you; I'll do it right away." I heard Lucas while his secretary handed him some documents, and I'm looking at them now that the secretary has left and we're just the three of us here.

"Thank goodness my secretary didn't see Khalil, because if he does, he'll be shocked and take a picture of it, and then I'll have a problem," Lucas said as I approached him.

"That won't happen because Khalil is a spiritual animal with the ability to conceal himself," I said, looking at the paperwork he was now working on.

"Are you going to be preoccupied now?" I inquired, and he examined his paperwork.

"Yes, you may go out for a short time. I know Khalil will accompany you, and no one in my office will notice him," Lucas stated.

"No, I'm not leaving." You're aware that I'm carrying my phone? I'm just going to surf the web and play some games." As I returned to the sofa to sit, Khalil approached, turned around, and lay down to rest.
