Chapter 63

Lucas's POV

I'm in Jaxon's room, and we're looking for a safe place to take Aria's parents. He's typing on his laptop right now, and I'm standing beside him, looking at the triple computer screens he has.

"It's difficult to find a safe place; if Kai has a genius like me to track Aria's parents, then we should decide that they will live here in your mansion for the time being," Jaxon suggested while typing. I was also thinking about it, but since we have a mission right now, we can't just leave them here because it would be too dangerous.

"It's dangerous if we leave them while we're fighting," I replied, and I discovered a country that was a little far away but safe.

"Can you take a look at that location? It's called Skotxh, which appears to be a little far away in our country." I pointed it out to Jaxon, who clicked on the Skotxh placeholder.

"It appears to be fine at Skotxh; you should inform Aria about this; the location is safe and a little far away from our country," Jaxon suggested, and I nodded.

"I'll be back and tell her to check the location," I told him, and he nodded. I exited his room and approached Aria and her parents, who looked at me with concern.

"Would you like to join us in our discussion?" Aria asked me, but I demonstrated to her parents how respectful I am.

"I'm sorry if I'm bothering you, but I need to speak with your daughter; is that okay?" I inquired politely of Aria's parents.

"It's all right! We'll stay here and wait, "Aria's mother responded, and Aria rose from her seat and approached me.

"What are you going to say?" Aria asked, and I took her hand in mine, and we were now far away from her parents.

"Do you have a plan to take your parents somewhere safe?" When I asked her, she was taken aback.

"I hadn't considered that, but do you have any suggestions for where they could be safe?" Aria asked me, and I let her follow me. Then we are now in the Jaxon room.

"I found a place called Skotxh, and I think it's better to take your parents there a little far away from our country; I will hire a guard for them, and they will notify me if anything happens, and I will personally buy them a house there where they can stay," I said to Aria. She nodded before approaching Jaxon's computer and seeing the country.

"It's for them. Thank you for helping me, Lucas," Aria explained as I approached and touched her shoulder.

"Let's tell them about going to Skotxh; if they want you to come, I'll persuade them that you need to finish something before you go," I said, and I noticed she became concerned.

"What about you, though? And the other protectors?" Aria inquired.

"You never know what will happen in the future, but they will always stay in touch with you. When you go to Skotxh, I'll come to you and find a suitable venue where we can get married," I responded, and she smiled.

"I understand; let us speak with them," Aria spoke up, and I looked at Jaxon.

"Book two tickets for them and check if their passports are still valid for travel," I told Jaxon as we exited his room.

When we entered the living room, I noticed Christopher talking with Aria's parents, and he looked at me.

"Aria, my younger sister! Come on in!" Aria approached them after Christopher said this.

"I'm confused because he previously stated that he is your brother. You just told us about Auxier's history and your journey," Aria's mother said perplexingly, and I approached Christopher.

"Why did you inform them of this? Simply introduce yourself as Aria's friend," I told him, and he scratched his head that he had made a mistake.

"I'm sorry if I startled you; I'm just proud to be Aria's brother," Christopher said. Aria's father stood up and tapped him on the shoulder.

"It's all right! I already like you! You're a wonderful brother to my daughter! If you want, I can adopt you," Aria's father responded, and Aria just laughed.

"You can't do that, dad; besides, he's my brother figure, and I'm his sister figure," Aria said, and they just nodded.

"We have something to tell you, Aria and I discussed that you two need to go to Skotxh for your safety. Don't worry, I will pay for your trip expenses." Aria's parents looked at me when I told them.

"It's fine with me; we know you'll look after our daughter because you love her, right?" Aria's mother responded, and I looked back at Christopher, who was now apologizing.

"Yes, I adore your daughter and hope to marry her soon. We'll accompany you to Skotxh after finishing our business here because we have a mission." Aria's mother nodded as I explained.

"I'm going to wait for you two, right, do what you have to," Aria's father said, tapping my shoulder and then Aria's shoulder.

"We don't want you to be the master of that Auxier, but you stated earlier that it chose you. I thought you were a truly unique individual," Aria's father said, and Aria nodded and hugged him.

"I promise I will come to visit you there at Skotxh," Aria said, and Aria's mother stood up and took my hand in hers.

"I'm counting on you, Lucas. Thank you for always being there for her," she said, and I smiled.

"Before we leave, let's eat together," Aria's mother suggested, and I nodded.

It was night, and I noticed Wyatt and Isaac preparing food for us in the kitchen. At the same time, Aria's mother and father conversed. Aria approaches me, and I'm curious about what she's thinking.

"Do you want to talk for a minute?" I asked her, and she took my hand and led me outside.

"What are we going to discuss?" Aria asked me, and we're here in the garden.

"I just wanted to let you know that we're going back to Auxier Place because we left Jaxon van there, and I'm afraid Madison will be worried if we don't come back," I told her.

"I know we'll go back there; I still need to explore the Auxier Place, and we need to make a list of the places we've discovered there, so we don't get confused," Aria explained as she sat on the swing.

"Where do you want to go when we return?" I was curious.

"Where should I go? You know what I mean when the nine protectors aren't around?" Aria said, and I was taken aback.

"You have someone you want to talk to? Could you please tell me who it is?" I inquired once more.

"It's a boy I save, and he's a wizard I met; I doubt he's still alive," Aria responded, and I was taken aback.

"Is he awesome?" I teased her, and she was taken aback.

"What exactly are you saying? Are you jealous right now?" Aria interrogated me, and I laughed.

"I'm just kidding. If he likes you, I'll have a rival," I told her as Wyatt came out looking for us.

"The dinner is ready," Wyatt announced after a few minutes, and Aria rose from her swing seat.

When we entered the house, I noticed the food that Wyatt and Isaac had prepared; unfortunately, the others did not taste the food I had prepared and had been left at Madison's house.

Wyatt and Isaac prepared their signature dishes for everyone: hamburger, homemade breaded fried chicken, pasta, beef steak on a sizzling plate, salad, fries, mashed potatoes, and Isaac's home-brewed ice tea.

"Are you thinking about how much food we wasted at Madison House?" Aria inquired, and I nodded.

"You should cook when we go back to Auxier Place tomorrow!" Aria stated, and I nodded before sitting in a chair. Aria's parents were amazed at the food on the dining table, and their smiles reached their ears.
