Chapter 32
Aria's POV
[Could you please explain why you have make-up on your face?] Lucas asked me while he was eating his food and I was eating.
"I forgot to tell you Irish did my make-up; I just wanted to try make-up," I told Lucas as his cheek turned red.
"Your blushing, Lucas. You can't hide it from me," I teased and smirked at Lucas, who looked at me after putting some food in his mouth.
[It's normal for me to blush because I'm your boyfriend, right?] Lucas told me, and I gestured because if my cheek turned red, I would be embarrassed if he saw it.
"What happened, and why are you going home so late? Is it because of your work once more?" Lucas drank some juice after I inquired.
[Yes, I have a problem here at our company; you don't need to know about it because it's my business, and I can solve it immediately.] Lucas said, and I put down the spoon before drinking the water Wyatt had given me.
"I understand; I won't ask it again," I advised Lucas as I continued to eat.
[I'm done eating; I'll hang up the phone now; you can call me if anything comes up.] Lucas informed me as he finished his meal, and I nodded and waved my hand as he did as well.
[I love you, babe,] I was genuinely shocked when he called me babe and hung up.
"So cute! I wish I had someone I care about!" I heard Irish and just smiled as I continued to eat, and I stood up after we finished eating.
"Thank you for the food, Wyatt; it is delicious. By the way, can we all discuss what we will do if the enemy attacks again?" I asked them, and I could tell they were surprised.
"Without Lucas? Is that okay?" Ezekiel inquired, and I nodded.
"I'll explain everything to him if he gets home later," I told the other protectors, who nodded.
"Sure, master, we will listen to your plans," Aiden said, and Wyatt then Isaac picked up the plate to wash it while I tapped Irish on the shoulder.
"Can you please take off the make-up you applied to me earlier?" Irish nodded when I asked her.
"Certainly! Let's get rid of it!" Irish said, and she held my hand as we walked to the bathroom, where she assisted me in removing my make-up.
"Why did you want to get rid of it? You don't want Lucas to see it up close?" Irish inquired, and I shook my head.
"I saw his face earlier, and I think he fell in love with me again," I told Irish, laughing as we exited the bathroom after wiping my face with a clean towel.
I noticed the other protectors who were waiting for me, and they were eating potato chips and popcorn, which made me laugh because they didn't need to do that because I was still full.
"We are prepared to listen to you, master," Ezekiel said, and I smiled.
We're sitting on the floor, and as I sit down, I pick up the popcorn Isaac is holding and eat one of the cheese-flavored popcorns.
"I need a paper where I can sketch a plan," I said, and Jaxon stood up, and I believed he would take one of his papers to use for painting.
After a few minutes, Jaxon returned with the paper he used for painting and handed me the pen. I smiled and thanked him before sketching some ideas on the paper.
"So, when the enemy Blawnox attacks us again, I need you to combine your powers. You will become powerful. Each of your powers can be combined into a new power," I diverse a plan to the other protectors, who nodded.
"How did you learn about combining abilities? That was not done in the past, master." Elias spoke up, and I noticed Khalil standing behind Jaxon.
"Khalil, thank goodness you're here; help me create a plan here since Lucas isn't here yet; if he has any other suggestions to the plan I made, I'm happy to adjust it," I told them. Khalil nodded and sat down in front of Jaxon.
"Khalil, you're huge!" When Jaxon said that, I laughed and continued to sketch.
"Can I ask what weapon you're all using since Jaxon told me about the sword I used previously?" I started asking the other protectors.
"We know you use a sword, and you can only use it if you can control your power; Lucas, hide it because touching it right now is dangerous," Aiden said, and I nodded. That's another reason he keeps it hidden.
"Thank you for telling me that, Aiden, it's another reason to keep it hidden from me, but could you show me how it looks?" I asked, and they exchanged glances before shaking their heads.
"I'm sorry, master, but Lucas has instructed us not to show you the look of your sword for the time being," Aiden said, and I was perplexed.
"It's okay, I understand; maybe I'll ask him if he wants to show it to me," I said, sketching more on the paper.
"Alright then, can you tell me what weapon you're all using?" I asked, finishing writing a number so I could write what weapon they were using.
"I use a spear weapon," Elias said, and I wrote that down, followed by Ezekiel.
"I use a sword," Ezekiel made clear, and I jotted it down while looking at Irish.
"I use a bow, sometimes a sword; I specialize in both," Irish said, and I nodded as I looked at the other.
"A sword is my skill master. You can rely on me," Jaxon said, and I nodded and wrote it down.
"I have bow and hand-to-hand fight skills, master," Isaac said, which surprised me because I knew they were loyal and ready to fight.
"I have martial arts and sword skills," Wyatt said, and I looked at Aiden because he was the last to tell me what weapon he was using.
"I'm not using any weapon, master; I believe I can kill an enemy with my bare hands," Aiden said, and I smiled.
"It's fine if you don't use a weapon, but do you know what Lucas uses as a weapon?" I questioned everyone.
"He is using a sword, and he is very skilled at it; he has some techniques that he has mastered for a long time," Irish explained, and I was surprised; perhaps later I will ask him about using a sword, and he will teach me more and share his techniques with me.
"That's it; I will list your skills; I remember everyone using swords and nothing else. Why did you all change?" I inquired, and Khalil approached me.
"They regret not becoming strong enough to protect you in the past; while you were fighting the enemy in the past, I saw how hard they worked to protect you," Khalil said, and I was taken aback.
"I know that, but, unfortunately, I'm not strong enough. As a master of Auxier, you need some protection, and I didn't realize that back then," I said, surprising them.
"It's not your fault, master, that you weren't strong enough back then; what matters now is that you're here, and we're back together; we'll make things right; the mistakes we made will be corrected," Aiden said, and I smiled.
"I promise to be more powerful! I'll work harder. Auxier has a hidden power that we have yet to discover! We still have a long way to go!" They nodded as I spoke.
The other protectors stood up, and Wyatt handed me the unopened potato chips before eating the popcorn.
"You should eat the potato chips later when you and Lucas talk," Wyatt suggested, and I nodded.
"You can rest now if you can't wait for Lucas!" Irish said as they walked to their rooms, and I nodded. I take a look at Khalil.
"I believe that in the past, it was not yet time to kill the Blawnox, but I believe that in this modern-day, we will undoubtedly kill that Kai Yarrow." I said this as I went upstairs to my room.
"You have a long journey ahead of you, master; I will always guide you." As I entered my room, Khalil said, and I nodded.
