Chapter 44
Irish's POV
Ezekiel looks at me and prepares to attack. Aria and Lucas are also practicing. I'm struggling to use my power to extract a large root from the ground because I have the power of Herb.
"Are you still having trouble extracting a large root?" Ezekiel inquired, and how did he know, could he read my mind?
"How did you find out? Did you think you could read my mind? Do you have a new skill that you've recently discovered?" I tease him and laugh when he laughs.
"I'm just guessing, but it appears you're struggling to extract a large root; do you want me to assist you?" My heart is racing as Ezekiel offers assistance.
Maybe I'm madly in love with him? I've been admiring him for decades, but I don't want to tell him because everyone will know that I like Ezekiel. He's helping me with my work because I own a flower shop.
"You own a flower shop and can create flowers; it's easy for you to do that, but a big root will be a piece of cake; all you need is practice," Ezekiel said as he approached me and took my hand in his.
"Now concentrate on your mind, on what root is currently in your mind. Feel it in your hand as if it's about to happen," Ezekiel guided, and I nodded. I focused my mind on a large green root, surprised to see it emerge from the ground.
"You nearly hit me!" I just smiled as Elias said it.
"I'm sorry, but Irish wants to extract a large root for her herbal potions; it can also be useful when we have too many enemies," Ezekiel said, and the root stopped coming out of my hand when I looked at it.
Some flowers bloomed and glowed with green auras that spread into the large root I had created.
"I'm not sure what's happening, but do you think it's spreading something?" Irish questions Ezekiel as they examine the large root, and when he looks at the others, they fall, and she is shocked.
"I'm sleepy, and I believe it's spreading a sleeping powder in the air," What should I do now that Ezekiel has murmured and fallen asleep? Aria looked concerned at the others, and Lucas fell asleep as well.
"What did you do, Irish?" Aria inquired, and the auras appeared to have no effect on her.
"Thank goodness you're not affected by the auras!" I told Aria and hugged her because I feared something terrible would happen.
"You've learned a new trick, and I like the large root you created. But, I believe the other protectors fell asleep because the root has sleeping powers." Aria inquires, then approaches Lucas and pinches his cheek.
"I'd like to do something to them; are you fluent in Irish?" Aria asked, and I was perplexed.
"Master, what are we going to do?" I asked her, and she went inside the mansion, leaving me alone to wait for her return.
Aria returned with a pen in her hand, and she approached Lucas first, drawing something on his face. I laughed when I noticed a circle in Lucas' eyes. The next target was Ezekiel, and after doing what she wanted to do to the other protectors, Aria sat down in the middle.
"Let's wait for them to wake up," Aria suggested, and I sat down. A few minutes later, Lucas is awake and looking at us, his eyes open.
"What happens? Aria, are you all right? Was there an attack on us? I fell asleep suddenly," Lucas inquired of Aria, and master laughed.
"There was no attack. It was just Irish power. She is sorry for what happened, but let us keep practicing!" Aria said, and the others stood up, holding their heads.
"What just happened? I saw some flowers before falling asleep," I heard Logan say, and as they looked at each other, Jaxon burst out laughing, and he didn't know he had drawings on his face.
"Why are you laughing? Are you insane now?" When Elias asked Jaxon, the others burst out laughing.
"What's the matter with your face? I believe it's a star drawing!" Isaac surprised Jaxon with his words.
"Look at your face here," Aria said, holding a mirror, and Jaxon overreacted.
"You're overreacting because we just drew something in your face!" While Aria was pinching Lucas's face, I said and laughed.
"Let's wash our faces, Aria did it, and there's nothing we can do about it," Lucas said as everyone walked together. I tapped Aria on the shoulder.
"What will we play now that they're washing their faces?" Aria looked at me and smiled when I asked her.
"Extract a root again, but make it small this time; I need it to struggle on my body so I can practice escaping as if I'm stuck. Can you do that?" Aria inquired, and I was concerned that I might injure her.
"But master, if you get hurt, the half Auxier will react to me," I told her, shaking my head.
"Don't worry, nothing bad will happen to you; I just need to make Lucas worried about me; I just want this practice to be memorable for the rest of us," Aria said, and I did as she spoke.
When I do that, Khalil approaches us and smells the root.
"Why are you smelling the root from which I extract, Khalil? You might have dozed off." Aria was now stuck on the root I created after asking him.
"Is there a problem if I just want to smell it?" Khalil questioned me, and I thought he was strange at times, but if he could become a human-like us, maybe he's incredible.
"Are they on their way? I can't see them from this side," I heard master, and when I looked around, the others were now walking here.
"Help me! I can't get master out because she's stuck!" both of us screamed, acting like she wanted to get out.
"What are you two up to?! We were just washing our faces, then you did something stupid," Lucas yelled and dashed over to Aria, using his dark power to free her.
"Why are you giggling? Did you just play a joke on me?" Lucas asked Aria, and he picked her up, not wanting to put her down.
"I'm only kidding! I'm sorry, but I want this practice to be remembered! I tried to flee on the root, but I couldn't." Aria spoke up, and Lucas just stared at her. But the truth is Aria wants to prank the others.
"Are you outraged now?" Aria inquired, and Lucas simply sighed.
"How could I be mad with someone like you? You are our master, and we cannot be angry with you; we have always respected you and served you in the past; why should I be angry with you?" Lucas responded, and he was correct; if we are angry with our master and despise her, we will be punished; I believe the half Auxier stone is watching us every day.
