Chapter 29
Aria's POV
I stood up because I was thinking about starting my training right away, and Khalil stood up because he was lying on my bed.
"What are your plans for today?" Khalil inquired.
"First, I need to talk to Jaxon; I need some advice because of Lucas," I told Khalil before going to my cabinet to shower.
"What are your plans after that?" Khalil was curious.
"Can I begin training right away?" I suggested Khalil, and I know he was taken aback.
"We can start training today, but we need to prioritize the powers first; you need to learn how to control it again, but the curse power, you can control it," Khalil said, and I nodded.
"I know I'll concentrate on everything I need to learn. Please wait for me while I take a shower," I told Khalil, and he sat back down on my bed, stretching his legs.
"I will," Khalil replied, and I went to the bathroom, where my bathrobe was hanging beside the curtain. I closed the door and removed my pajamas.
I went to the bathtub, filled it with water, and added bath wash liquid. I sat in the bathtub and scrubbed my body to wash.
I got out of the bathtub after taking a bath and drained the water inside before drying my body and face. I apply lotion and then a facial cleanser to my face before drying my hair and putting on my clothes, a violet t-shirt, and black fitted shorts.
When I came out of the bathroom, Khalil was still lying down on my bed, his eyes closed. I tied my hair into a ponytail, approached Khalil, and touched his head.
"I'm going down now; do you want to come with me, or will you just stay in my room?" When I asked Khalil, he opened his eyes and looked at me.
"I will wait for you here, we will train in your room, and I will teach you how to control your power," Khalil said, and I nodded before leaving my room.
I went downstairs to look for Jaxon; he wasn't there, so I went upstairs to look for his room; thankfully, the door had a nameplate, so I didn't get lost.
I didn't find his room upstairs, so I went downstairs again to look for it. Thankfully, I found it! I knock on the door, but no one answers. Where has he gone?
Lucas said he'd be here today with me, so I went to the garden. When I arrived, I saw Jaxon painting the tree and approached him.
"I finally found you; I thought you had left, and I had been looking for you," I said, and Jaxon looked at me and smiled.
"I'm sorry, master, I forgot to inform you that I will be here in the garden painting some tree because my customer ordered it," Jaxon said. I looked at the painting and remembered the one I did last time.
"I like your painting, but I'd like some advice from you. Is that okay?" When I asked Jaxon, he stopped painting and turned to face me.
"That is fine with me! You are my top priority; ask me anything, and I will respond." He was sincere as he set down his painting materials.
"I'd like to inquire about Lucas; I'd like to know what he's like and if anything happened to him while I was gone," I asked Jaxon.
"Would you like to know what happened while you were gone?" Jaxon clarify.
"Yes, I want to know it, and I don't want him to be scared or worried about me," I told Jaxon, standing up and following him on the swing.
"All right, I'll tell you about it, but don't tell Lucas because he'll scold me," Jaxon said, and I laughed a little because I know Lucas is their leader when protecting me.
"I'm not going to tell him; I'll keep it a secret, trust me," I tell Jaxon, who smiles.
"When you are gone, he is the one who tells us to relocate because we need to survive while we wait for our next master. So each day, we are doing our own work while we wait for you. We did not return to the Auxier Kingdom because you gave us half of the Auxier Stone." Jaxon began to speak, and I nodded as he clarified things for me.
"We agreed to work while we waited for you, and we decided to study anything we wanted to learn more about. When we got a job, we decided to be ready when you return because everything changes after a year, you know what I mean?" Jaxon inquired, and I nodded because I understood what he was saying at the time.
"I understand what you're saying; keep going," I told him, and he continued.
"While we were working, we noticed Lucas was focused on his work; he was working so hard, and now he has his own company that he built; he is making a lot of money, but he is still humble, and he always stared at the sword in your past; do you know that your sword is in his room, didn't you see it?" Jaxon asked, and I was taken aback.
"I didn't see it; perhaps he hid it?" I asked him, and he was thinking at the time.
"Perhaps he's hiding it for good because you're not yet 22," Jaxon speculated, and he was correct. I'm not 22, but I need to be patient.
"In my observation, he really missed me and was worried if I'd be gone again; he's glad I'm back," I said to Jaxon as I swung on my seat.
"May I inquire about what happened and why you sought advice?" Jaxon asked while I was still swinging my seat.
"It's because he had a nightmare about me last night, and when I woke him up this morning, he was all sweaty," I explained to Jaxon before stopping swinging.
"I see you need to tell him that you will not be gone again and do everything you can to be strong and protect this group," Jaxon said, and I smiled in relief.
"Thank you for your advice, Jaxon; I'll start training myself today," I explained to him.
"What will you train for? Is it martial arts?" Jaxon asked, and I shook my head.
"It's about Auxier's power, but don't worry, I won't force myself if I can't really use that right now," I explained, and Jaxon was taken aback.
"I'll keep it a secret from Lucas because I know he'll be more concerned about you. I'll cover for you, master." I nodded as Jaxon said.
"Thank you for always covering up for me, Lucas; even the other protectors did it," I said to him as I exited the garden to return to my room.
I went upstairs to my room, and when I entered, I noticed Khalil sitting in my bed, rubbing his feet, and waiting for me.
"Did you hear our conversation, and that's why you're sitting in my bed?" I inquired of Khalil.
"Yes, I heard it all. Should we begin your training now?" Khalil asked, and I nodded before picking up a chair in the room and sitting.
"What shall I do first?" I asked him, and I was surprised because he used some power, and his aura was white.
"What kind of power is this?" As the white aura surrounded us, I asked Khalil.
"Calmness power will make you calm and more focused on your Auxier power training," Khalil said. I nodded before taking a deep breath.
"Close your eyes and imagine you're fighting someone controlled by the Blawnox," Khalil instructed, and I did as he instructed.
I opened my eyes, and now I was in a scene where an enemy was staring at me and preparing to attack; when I looked in my left hand, I saw green auras and realized it was the curse power.
"I noticed a green aura in my left hand; does this mean I'll only use the curse power?" I asked Khalil, and I knew he would hear me.
"That is correct, but it is up to you to figure out how to use your other powers," Khalil said, and I smirked.
"I got it," I said, facing the enemy I'd be fighting.
