20. No Need to Worry About Me
Aurora looked at Igor, who was not surprised by her question. The man walked closer to her. However, Igor still did not answer her, even though the man was already nearby.
"What? Why do you keep staring at me?" Aurora asked, becoming uncomfortable with Igor's gaze.
"Do you know what happened a few minutes ago?"
"You mean? What did you talk about just now with someone over the phone?"
Igor shook his head and replied, "No."
Aurora was silent for a moment, thinking about what she had forgotten. For some reason, she didn't remember the previous incident. She looked back at Igor and thought maybe this was a way to distract her from what Igor had just said.
She was surprised when Igor suddenly brought his face closer. They looked at each other, and slowly, Igor pressed his forehead to Aurora's.
In Aurora's mind, the question arises as to why Igor did that. Aurora pushed the man's body slowly.
"What are you doing?"
"I'm just checking your body temperature."
"Tell me what really happened. So what should I not know?" Aurora again asked Igor a question.
"Are you sure you're ready?"
Aurora nodded her head. She said that she was ready to hear good or bad news. She waited for Igor to say it. However, a knock on the door made Igor move away and approach the door.
She saw Igor open the door to the room and saw a man, too. They spoke in a low tone so that Aurora couldn't hear her. After that, Igor left without saying a word to her.
"I'm sure there are a lot of secrets that the man is hiding," Aurora muttered.
She also recalled Igor's question. Aurora needed to remember the previous incident. She tried to remember it but still couldn't.
"What did I forget? I had better calm down and try to remember it again," Aurora muttered, then she lay down and closed her eyes again.
Aurora immediately wakes up and remembers Odelia. Now, she remembers everything. Without thinking anymore, Aurora lowers her legs. She tries to stand up but cannot because she feels weak.
"Why did I become so weak? Even though these are only two stab wounds," Aurora said, who was upset with her current situation.
She finally stopped to stand up. Aurora looked up at the nightshade and took her phone. She saw the number that contacted her. Aurora frowned as she read Toms Collins' name.
"What is he contacting me for?" She asked while continuing to stare at her phone screen.
The phone kept ringing non-stop. It seems that there is something important that Toms wants to convey to her. She finally picked up her phone and listened to every word the man said to her.
"I think there's something important," Aurora said after she heard Toms's words on the other end of the phone.
She was about to disconnect her phone, but it was cancelled. The man again said a few things that made Aurora decide to meet her. However, Aurora couldn't see him in the next few days.
"I'll tell you later," Aurora told Toms.
However, the man still wanted to meet Aurora as soon as possible, which made Aurora a little upset and curious about the important things that Toms wanted to convey.
She sighed and said, "If you want to meet me, don't force me like this."
After saying that, she hung up her phone. Although she was curious about Toms's information, she still would wait to show it to the man.
Aurora was silent for a moment, and then she remembered Odelia. She wondered if she could contact her friend. She also dialed Odelia's mobile phone number. There was a continuous tone, and it didn't take long for anyone to pick it up.
However, Odelia's voice did not raise her, and she asked, "Who are you?"
Immediately, the person disconnected the phone. Aurora again tried to contact Odelia's cell phone number. However, her friend's cell phone was no longer active this time.
"Did her phone fall and be taken by someone else?" Aurora asked, placing her phone on her nose.
However, she picked up her phone again and saw some incoming emails. Aurora checked it and thought of a way out if any minor problems occurred. After finishing it, she read some news online.
Suddenly, her cell phone rang. Aurora immediately picked up the phone because the person who contacted her was Tae-Gu. She listened carefully to the man's words. There was a hint of worry in her mind, but the man could make her worries disappear.
"Are you okay?" asked Aurora to the man.
She heard the man's answer if, at this time, either he or his wife was fine. Tae-Gu also warns Aurora to be more careful. Maybe there are still many people who are looking for her whereabouts.
"You don't have to worry about me. It would help if you tightened your guard over your wife and family. I'm sorry for dragging you into my troubles," Aurora said to the man.
Aurora hung up her phone after saying that. She didn't think her identity had been revealed in the underground world where all the hitmen must already know it.
"Now they might be competing to find me and finish me off. However, who has leaked it?" muttered Aurora.
Her eyes were fixed on the room's door because someone knocked on her. She also ordered the person to enter. A female servant was seen holding a tray containing a bowl and a glass of water.
"Master Igor has prepared medicine for you,"
"What kind of medicine is this?" asked Aurora after looking at the contents of the bowl.
She thought this was not an ancient era that required her to drink such an unconvincing medicinal herb. At this moment, Aurora was still looking at the contents of the bowl in her hand.
"Drink! I specially made it for you," said someone who had just entered the room.
"Odelia, are you healed?" asked Aurora as she looked at her friend who was talking.
"Thank you for helping me," Odelia replied as she sat beside Aurora.
Aurora was relieved to see that her friend had recovered from the poison given by Jhon's men. She frowned as her friend kept looking at her.
"What's wrong?" asked Aurora, who felt she had something to convey.
"Nothing. You should take the medicine first. It can speed up the healing of wounds in your body."
"Okay."
Aurora believes that is what made her Odelia. She also took the medicine, which felt bad and made her nauseous. However, she must not take it back because it is certain that Odelia will taunt her like a child.
"Very good. You don't take it out anymore," Odelia said with a smile, took the empty bowl and handed it to the waitress who was still there.
Aurora smiled faintly, then returned and said, "Don't lie to me."
"I'm not sure if you believe it or not if I tell you."
