76. I Can't Belive It
Aurora listened to what the woman on the other end of the phone said. She still didn't think that Igor would do all this to her. She hung up the phone because she was fed up with what the woman said.
"Annoying! I can't believe that Igor could do all this to me!" grumbled Aurora as she got up and tried to calm herself down.
Not long after, Aurora received a message on her cellphone. She took her phone and opened the message from Igor's number. Aurora was surprised because Igor had sent two very upsetting photos.
"This must be the woman's doing! Why can't Igor refuse that woman?" Aurora said in an annoyed tone.
She took a deep breath and then threw it away. After that, she sat down again and read all the reports about her café's expenses and income. Aurora kept herself busy with all the work in front of her eyes.
Finally, she finished it. She picked up her phone and saw that there was an incoming message from Celine. She opened it and read it.
"I don't know what that man did to make my cousin like this?" muttered Aurora after she read Celine's message.
Aurora no longer understands her cousin, who has decided to stop caring for the business she has always wanted. Now, she has to think about finding someone she could trust to take care of her parents' legacy business.
She looked outside her office and tidied up her desk. Aurora took her bag and phone and walked outside her office because the café was closed.
"I ask for your help taking care of this café because Stela is away for the next few days. And I'm not sure if Odelia will always be here, too, " Aurora said to the three women in front of her.
"You just calm down. Stela, have told us," replied a woman.
Aurora nodded and smiled, then left the café. During the trip, she remembered the woman who had picked up the phone from Igor, so she decided to return home instead of going to the castle.
When she arrived at her house, Aurora asked the butler not to disturb her. She immediately entered her room and threw her body on the bed. She felt tired of everything that had happened that day.
"Could it be that I have misjudged Igor? A thousand years is a long time, and maybe there is already another woman in his heart," muttered Aurora, still annoyed by the woman who could hold Igor's phone.
She took her phone in her bag because it was ringing. Aurora sees two missed calls from unknown numbers.
Not long after, a message came in from the number that had contacted her earlier. She opened and read the message. Her heart was even more furious because she saw a photo of Igor sleeping and a woman beside him.
"The woman challenged me," said Aurora with a smile.
She didn't reply to the woman's message at all. Aurora completely ignored her. She just wanted to see the extent to which the woman would act to mess up her relationship with Igor.
Aurora also turned off her cell phone because, for tonight, she didn't want anyone to disturb her. She closed her eyes and finally fell asleep. Only hunger woke her up in the middle of the night.
"Looks like they've rested," Aurora muttered as she exited the bed.
She went out from inside the room and headed for the kitchen. She wanted to find something that she could eat. Aurora looked at the butler, who was still awake in the kitchen.
"I've prepared a late dinner for you," said the butler after seeing the lady in the kitchen.
"I think you've rested," Aurora continued.
"I can't sleep because you haven't eaten dinner yet."
"You can rest! I can eat myself and tidy it up.'
"Are you sure?"
Aurora nodded and asked the butler to rest. She also saw the butler salute and left him.
She ate a menu of light dinner dishes, which was enough to satisfy her hunger until the next day.
"Why is your phone not working?" asked someone behind Aurora.
"How do you know I'm here?" replied Aurora with another question to the man who was none other than Igor.
"I will always know where you are."
Aurora smiled when she heard what Igor had just said. Her annoyance with her lover was still there, and she ignored Igor sitting across from her.
"What's wrong with you? Why are you ignoring me?" Igor asked Aurora, who was enjoying her dinner.
Aurora completely ignored Igor. She got up and walked with dirty dishes and glasses to the dishwasher. She washed the dishes and glasses because she was used to doing all that if no servant was nearby.
After everything was done, she returned to her room. She knew that Igor continued to follow her. Aurora did not go back to sleep but stood on the balcony beside her and continued to ignore Igor.
"Tell me what's going on so that I can understand why you ignored me," Igor asked Aurora again.
"Where have you been since noon, and with whom?" Aurora answered with two questions.
Aurora looked at Igor, who was silent while thinking about the answer she would give. She smiled and looked towards the sky.
"You'd better go home and think about the answer," Aurora told Igor again.
After saying that, Aurora went back into the room. She lay on the bed, closed her eyes, and tried to sleep.
Aurora tried to remain silent as Igor hugged her from behind. She also heard Igor apologizing if he had made a mistake. Igor can't calm down if his lover continues to be angry with him.
"So, who is the woman who can easily hold your phone?" asked Aurora after she heard what her lover said.
"Oh, being a woman is the reason. What did she do?"
Aurora took her phone and showed her the photo and message written by the woman. After seeing all that, she waited for Igor's answer.
She saw Igor smiling and asked again, "Why are you smiling?"
"You can easily believe the intrigue," Igor replied as he returned the phone to Aurora.
"You mean?"
Aurora listened to Igor's explanation. She felt a little embarrassed because she had doubted Igor's love. She turned her body so that he turned her back on Igor.
"Your face is blushing. Do you feel ashamed that you have misjudged me?" asked Igor after seeing the reddened Aurora's face.
"I'm sleepy! Tomorrow, we will talk again," Aurora replied.
She felt Igor's breath on the nape of her neck as the man hugged her from behind. Aurora also turned her body around and slipped her body into Igor's arms. She felt safe and calm if she did that. Finally, she fell asleep.
***
The next day, Aurora wakes up and sees Igor, who is no longer beside her. She looks around, and there is no lover. Aurora gets off the bed, walks to the bathroom, and opens the door. Still, she doesn't see her lover.
"Has he left? So why didn't he wake me up?" muttered Aurora as she walked towards the door of her room because someone knocked on her.
She saw the butler before her and asked, "What's wrong?"
"You have been waiting for Mr. Igor in the garden," replied the butler.
"Alright. I'll go there."
Aurora returned to her room after seeing the butler of her house leave. She prepared so that Igor wouldn't wait for her too long.
She came out from inside her room after finishing her preparations. Aurora went straight to the park to meet Igor. She smiled when she saw Igor, who was already sitting in the pavilion and waved his hand.
"I thought you were gone," said Aurora, sitting in a chair beside Igor.
"How could I leave without saying goodbye to you? Eat! I prepared everything for you," Igor replied in a gentle tone.
Aurora looked at the one on the table. She felt happy with what her lover had made. She took a glass of orange juice and drank it. After that, she and Igor started eating their breakfast.
"Do you have an event for today?" asked Igor to Aurora.
"It seems like nothing but going to the café," Aurora replied.
"What if we go for a walk?"
"Where do you want to take me to?"
"York City Wall."
Aurora nodded her head. She wasn't okay with Igor taking her anywhere. The most important thing for her is this day with her lover.
After breakfast, they went to York City Wall. Aurora enjoyed the walks along with Igor. However, she realized that something was wrong.
"Honey, do you feel something is wrong?" asked Aurora to her lover.
