21. Be My Lover

"Odelia, can you come with me? I need your help," said Juan, who had just entered the room.

"Wait! Odelia, we're still not done!" called Aurora as Odelia left with Juan.

"I'll tell you about it later."

Aurora looked at her friend's departure. She didn't know if the two of them were that close. So that Odelia can quickly help the man she has not known for a long time.

"Miss, do you need anything more?" asked the maid, who was still at the bedside.

"No. You can go!"

Aurora saw the maid nodding. The maid walked out of the room and closed the door. She still felt strange about Odelia's attitude, which looked similar to Juan's.

"Is there something between them? Not. No way," Aurora muttered.

Aurora continues to wait for Odelia's arrival, but her friend last saw her three days ago, likewise with Igor. She is even more convinced that something is hidden from her.

The wounds on both thighs have gradually recovered. Aurora can also run as usual. She decided to return to her home. She also has to meet Tom, who keeps asking to meet.

"Are you sure you'll return to your home? Isn't it safe enough for you here?" asked Ethan, who was currently in front of Aurora.

"Even though I'm safe here, it's still not my home."

"You'd better wait for Igor, after which you'll be free to leave this castle."

"No need! After all, he's nobody I."

After saying that, Aurora walked out of the room. She walked down the stairs and headed straight to the outside of the castle. Outside, she had seen a car and a driver who had apparently been waiting for her from earlier.

"You forbid me to go, but you have also prepared a car for me," Aurora said to Ethan, who was beside her.

"Aurora, don't you want to wait for your friend? Maybe when Odelia comes back, she will want to see you right away," Ethan asked Aurora again.

Aurora just smiled and didn't answer Ethan's question. She immediately got into the car and asked the driver to drive her to the house.

"Annoying! Doesn't she consider me her friend anymore?" grumbled Aurora, annoyed with Odelia.

While on the way, she saw the road she had passed. Her thoughts are still on her friend and Igor. Aurora was even more convinced that the two of them were hiding something from her.

She took the phone from inside her jacket pocket. Aurora saw the number listed on the mobile phone screen. She immediately picked up her phone because Odelia had contacted her.

"Hello," Aurora said to Odelia on the other end of the phone.

Aurora listened to Odelia. The friend explained her mission and apologized to her. Odelia also said that if her mission is completed at this time, she will meet Aurora immediately.

"Tell me! Are you working on this mission, Igor?" asked Aurora in an interrogative tone.

She heard Odelia's answer, saying that this mission had nothing to do with Igor. It was one hundred per cent her mission to petrify one of the people who once saved her.

Aurora still couldn't fully trust Odelia. However, she again listened to Odelia, who swore that everything she said was the truth.

"Alright. I believe in you. I'll wait for you at home!" Aurora said, then hung up the phone.

Not long after, the car stopped right in front of the entrance of her house. She got out of the vehicle after a bodyguard opened the car door.

"You go back to the castle! Tell your master if I can protect myself," Aurora ordered the driver.

Aurora entered her house after seeing the driver nodding. She went straight to her room. She looked at the room and inhaled the scent she longed for.

She threw the body on the bed. She looked at the phone screen. The name of Toms, who was contacting her, appeared. She continued to stare at the phone until it did not ring.

"Do I have to see him?" muttered Aurora as the man kept contacting her.

She picks up the phone and listens to Toms, who still asks her to meet. She finally agrees and asks the man to send the location of their meeting.

"Okay. We'll meet later tonight," Aurora said to Toms on the other end of the phone.

Aurora puts her phone away after ending her conversation with Toms. She got up and walked towards the dressing room. She chose a dress that she would later wear at dinner with the man.

"I want to know what he wants to say to me directly," Aurora muttered as she picked up her black dress.

***

It was time for Aurora to see Toms. Now, she was ready. She took the phone on the nightstand and put it in a small bag that she was going to carry.

Aurora walked out of the room and went straight to the car. She got into the car and immediately turned it on. Aurora didn't use a driver because she felt she could take care of herself.

Aurora increased the speed of her car after leaving her home area. A few moments later, she arrived at a restaurant where Toms asked her to go.

"Aurora Baylee...," greeted a man in an all-black suit full of respect.

Aurora nodded and followed the man into the restaurant. She frowned because it was so quiet that not even a single visitor ate there.

"Finally, I can meet you," said Toms with his trademark smile. He also signed for Aurora to sit on the chair he had prepared.

"What do you want to tell me?" asked Aurora after she sat down on the chair.

She looked at the man in front of her. The look on the man's face seemed very happy with her presence. She sighed because Toms was just looking at her and did not answer the question she had asked just then.

"Be my lover," said Toms hopefully and confidently.

"What?"

"Yes. I like you very much, and I want you to be my lover."

Aurora listened to the man in front of her express his love. However, for some reason, her heart did not feel the vibration of love. She only thought of the man as a business associate and the son of her parents' friend.

She was a little surprised to see Toms kneeling while holding her hand. It is clear that the man really hopes that his love will be accepted.

"Do you think it's appropriate to be her companion?" someone asked in a sarcastic tone.
