29. Why Aurora?

Igor stands up after Aurora pushes his body. He looked at the man before him, staring at him with hatred. He also saw Aurora approaching towards the man.
"Toms Collins, what have you done to you, Aurora?" asked Igor to the man before him.
"I didn't do anything to her. You better stop chasing my woman. Otherwise, you'll see your business ruined one by one!"
Igor smiled at the threat that Toms threw at him. It crossed his mind that the attack on Aurora a month ago was the man's doing.
"You think I'm afraid of your threats? Is that attack your plan?" asked Igor to Toms in an interrogative tone.
"I know you're not afraid of me. Then I'll finish you off now!" said Toms, ordering some men to attack Igor.
The people commanded by Toms were not ordinary people. They were all hitmen who possessed extremely extraordinary abilities. They can all finish off their targets quickly, and they are also channeled by the most heinous hitmen in the underworld.
Igor was not afraid of all of them and faced them without difficulty. Now, three hitmen were left attacking him at the same time. The three attacked very differently than before and managed to corner Igor.
"You guys only dare to attack him at the same time. That is a characteristic of people who do not have abilities," said someone while walking closer to Igor.
"Finally, you came too," continued Igor after seeing the person who was none other than Hans.
"Finish them both off!" ordered Toms, who didn't want to waste his time.
The assassins attacked Igor and Hans again. They brought out all their abilities and added their speed. Even though they have brought out all their abilities, they still need help to defeat Igor and Hans.
Igor and Hans were finally able to get rid of them all. Now Igor looked at Toms, the attack's mastermind a month ago. He also remembered Ethan, who had not been found until this second.
"Tell me where Ethan is?!" asked Igor as he attacked Toms.
Toms was surprised by Igor's attack, but he still had time to avoid it. The man did not accept his attack and attacked back at Igor, who had already made him act ruthlessly to gain Aurora's love. However, Toms's fighting ability was not comparable to Igor's. So, the man was successfully dropped.
"Igor!" shouted Hans, who saw Aurora stabbing Igor with a dagger.
"Aurora, you? Why?"
"This is a warning for you not to get close to me and Toms!" said Aurora while helping Toms to his feet.
Aurora also walked away from Igor while breaking Toms. She continued walking, ignoring Igor, who kept calling her name.
"Are you sorry for stabbing him?" asked Toms to Aurora.
"Isn't this what you want?" Aurora replied, and then she let go of her hand, which had been holding Toms earlier.
Aurora heard Toms's chuckle. She felt annoyed with the man. However, she had to be a little more patient for now because she still had something to do.
She continued walking and entered a room where that room was her room. Aurora looked at her bloodied hands of Igor.
"I'm sorry I had to do all this," Aurora muttered, walking to the bathroom.
Aurora cleaned her hands and looked at herself in front of the mirror. She recalled the incident one month ago. She was so upset that she couldn't fight Toms and his men.
It was getting late, and the guests had gone home because tonight's party was over. Aurora lay down on the bed. She tried to close her eyes but couldn't.
"I can't stay silent anymore," Aurora muttered. She got up and changed her clothes.
She exited the room and sneaked around, ensuring no one would see her. Aurora pauses when she hears two men talking about the person being held captive by Toms.
Aurora walked back and followed them until they finally arrived at a room. After the two men entered it, she managed to enter the room in front of her.
"You didn't obey my orders, Aurora Baylee!" said one man after he saw Aurora in the room.
"Toms, you've had enough of suppressing me! Tell me where Ethan is!" Aurora said in a pressing tone.
Toms grinned and said, "You want to see it? So look at the man with your beautiful eyes."
Aurora saw Toms pointing in the direction where Ethan was. She was shocked to see Ethan tied up in a chair with wounds all over his body. She reflexively ran closer to Ethan to check on his condition.
"Ethan, I'm sorry," said Aurora when she was already near the man.
"Stupid! Why are you still here? Didn't I ever tell you to leave!" said Ethan.
"How could I leave you?"
There was a sound of people clapping their hands. Aurora looked at the person, who was none other than Toms. She looked at the man with exasperation.
"Let him go! Isn't what you want me," Aurora told Toms.
"What I want is, indeed, you. However, I also want to make Ethan disappear from this world," Toms continued, and then he gave a sign to his men.
"No! Stop that, Toms!" screamed Aurora as she saw several men begin to beat Ethan.
Aurora could no longer bear to see Ethan's suffering. She ends up fighting some of the men who attack Ethan. She no longer cared about her life.
"Why are you doing this, Aurora? Isn't he just a pet of Igor Gerarld!" Toms said in an annoyed tone at Aurora, who fought back.
"He is a human! He's not an animal!"
Aurora staggered backward after a man managed to hit her. She stood up again and again attacked those in front of her.
She stopped her attack when she heard the sound of gunshots. Aurora looked in the direction the voice was coming from. It was Toms who fired his bullet at Ethan.
Not long after, there was a sound of gunfire from outside the room. Make everyone in the room go outside. Meanwhile, Aurora was still inside and tried to untie the rope that tied Ethan's hands and feet.
"Go! I'm sorry I couldn't protect you," said Ethan in a weak tone.
"No! I won't leave you! Let's leave here together," Aurora said in a sad tone.
"Go! Otherwise, he will finish you off," said Ethan as he saw someone pointing a weapon at Aurora.
