66. Won't Regret It

"What do you mean? Why do you say that?" asked Celine to Igor.

Aurora feels that Igor does know something about Marcus. In her mind, there was a possibility that Marcus had something to do with her life a thousand years ago.

"I just said what I thought of the man. It's up to you if you still want to be with him," Igor answered Celine's question just now.

"I believe in him, and I won't regret all my decisions. I won't interfere with your company, Aurora, either. Maybe after I marry him, I won't be in the company owned by your parents," continued Celine.

"Celine, you trust and love him so much that you do all this. Are you completely sure?" Aurora asked the cousin.

"I'm sure," Celine answered while looking at Marcus, who was talking to Thom.

Aurora can't do anything more if her cousin is already convinced of the decision she made. She didn't expect that Marcus had such a significant influence on Celine.

She only hopes that Marcus is indeed a good man so that she can make Celine happy. However, if the man deceived her cousin, she wouldn't forgive her.

"For corporate problems... You can still work there, and I don't mind even though you're married," Aurora continued while looking at Celine, who was next to her.

"We'll see later. Marcus wants me to care for one of his businesses after marriage."

Aurora saw Thom approaching towards her. There was a slight change in the man's expression after talking to Marcus. She remained calm until Thom was finally in front of her.

"Aurora, I hope you understand why I love you so much. Only I can protect you. No one can save you, even if it's your lover," said Thom, and then he left Aurora.

"What's wrong with the two of us? Why can't we live in peace with the man we love," Celine muttered.

Aurora sighed and thought that what her cousin said was true. Now, her gaze was fixed on Marcus, who was approaching her.

"Honey, it seems like I can't accompany you for long. There is something I have to do, and it is very important," said Marcus, looking at Celine.

"Do you need help from me?" asked Celine.

"No need. You better accompany your cousin."

"Because this introduction event has been completed. Maybe my girlfriend and I will also leave," continued Aurora, who felt she didn't want to linger at Marcus' house anymore.

"Why hurry? You and Celine can talk more calmly about business or other things," said Marcus.

"Thank you. However, I have to fulfil the wish of my lover, who wants to be with me while I am in this city," added Aurora, who uses the name Igor to leave the house.

Aurora finally left Marcus' house. She also reminded Celine to contact her if she needed help from her.

During the journey, she kept silent while continuing to think about Marcus. Something still made her feel that there was a bond between herself and the man.

"Are you still thinking about your cousin's lover?" Igor asked Aurora, who was beside him.

"Honey, you must be hiding something from me! I'm sure you already know a few things about that man."

"Not just a few things, but..." Igor stopped his sentence as his phone rang.

Aurora continued to stare at Igor, who was talking to the person on the other end of the phone. She waited for her lover's answer about Marcus.

"Does that mean all the problems are over?" asked Igor to the person on the other end of the phone.

Aurora turned her face and looked at the street she was passing by. She gives her lover time to talk to the person who contacts her.

She also remembered Thom's words, which felt like she continued to force her love. Aurora didn't know why the man said that, as Thom knew that her life was in danger right now.

"Honey, we're going back to York right now," said Igor, waking Aurora to her daydream.

"Have Hans and Juan solved the problems in this city?"

Aurora saw Igor nodding his head. She also heard Igor order the driver to go to the location she had given to Hans immediately.

"Master, it seems that someone is following us," said the driver when he saw a car following him earlier.

"Speed up the car so we can get to where Hans and Juan are!" ordered Igor.

Aurora looked back, and sure enough, a car was following her. She wondered if this had anything to do with everything Thom had said.

"You take it easy! I will not let those rotten people hurt you," said Igor while holding Aurora's hand.

"I believe in you."

Aurora also thinks she can still fight some people to protect herself. She promises to always be by Igor's side and protect each other.

The car drove at high speed, and the car behind it was still chasing. They didn't want to let go of the person who had been their target.

"Could it be that they are the hitmen tasked with finishing me off?" muttered Aurora.

"Whoever they still won't succeed in hurting you," said Igor to Aurora.

The driver stopped his car after a car was in front of him. Aurora saw two men standing near the car while staring at the car she was riding in.

"Do we have to move now?" asked Aurora to Igor, who was beside her.

"Stay calm, and we'll see what happens next," Igor replied calmly.

Aurora also acted calmly. She felt that Igor already knew the steps to be taken. She fully believes in her lover, who will settle everything well.

"Master, I'll get out first," the driver said to Igor, and he got out of the car.

"Honey, can he finish it?" Aurora asked Igor.

She felt that a driver could not necessarily face the enemy who had besieged. Aurora thought that she needed to intervene and help the driver, who had begun to be attacked by two men at once.

"You can calm down," Igor replied.

"You're so confident in your driver? Look at him, who is already surrounded."

"Watch out!" shouted Igor when he saw a man smash the window of a car near Aurora.
