9. There's Something Threatening

"Why do you hate me so much? Have we met before?" asked Aurora as the man looked at her with hatred.

"I hate you so much because you've already messed up some of my plans."

Aurora was even more confused by the man's words. She didn't know the man and she didn't feel like she had ever made trouble with him. She kept thinking while listening to all the man's words to her.

"All of that is not her fault! You're the only one who failed to win the land!" said Tae-Gu.

"Shut up! I don't talk to a traitor like you!"

Aurora was still listening to everything that was happening in front of her. The phone vibrated, and she took the phone out of her bag. She saw a text message, and she opened it. She looked back at the man and smiled.

"Gi-Hoon, apparently it's you," Aurora interrupted.

"Finally, you know my name. Are you willing to leave everything to me?"

Now Aurora already knew who the man who hated her so much was. She smiled when she heard the man's wishes.

"Very interesting. You think you can take all the hard work of my team who have already won it."

"I can take everything I want. If you want to survive then don't make trouble with me."

"You're threatening me?!"

"This is not a threat but a warning!"

"That's enough, Gi-Hoon! Do you want to get behind bars?!" Jieun said to stop her brother's attitude.

An argument between Gi-Hoon and Jiuen makes Aurora even more upset. She cannot stand the drama anymore, so she decides to leave the gazebo and the party tonight.

"Just continue this drama without me. Tae-Gu, you know how I am? Finish everything!"

After saying that, Aurora left the garden and went straight to her car. She also ordered a driver to take her to the hotel immediately.

In the car, Aurora closed her eyes. She was still trying to calm herself down. At first glance, she considered retaliating for Gi-Hoon's actions, who had dared to threaten her.

"Do I have to finish him off tonight?" Aurora muttered.

Aurora shook her head. She threw away those thoughts because, for now, she didn't want to finish off people. It didn't take long for her to arrive at the hotel finally.

She immediately changed her clothes and started working on some of the things she had to get done. Until finally she fell asleep on the bed with a laptop beside her.

The next day, she woke up to hear her phone ring. She picked up her phone and saw who had contacted her. Aurora immediately picked her up because the one who contacted her was Odelia.

"What's wrong?" asked Aurora after she picked up her phone.

Aurora listened to Odelia's reports on all the orders she had placed before going to Jeju Island. She smiled and felt happy because the company's problems had been solved quickly, one by one.

"After my business on Jeju Island is done, I will return to Seoul immediately, and you will take care of everything for our return to York City," Aurora said to Odelia. After saying that, she hung up her phone.

She got off the bed and walked closer to the door. Aurora opens it and sees Dae-Ho. She also told her to go into her room.

"It looks like you have something to tell me," said Aurora while sitting on the sofa.

"Miss, did you know that last night, Mr. Gi-Hoon was attacked to death by a wild animal?"

"Killed in a wild beast attack? How can it be? Wasn't he at the mask party last night? I met him."

Aurora sees Dae-Ho nodding and handing him a tablet. She sees the news of the man's death. Aurora feels something strange about why Go-Hoon went to the middle of the forest in the middle of the night. She keeps reading it, and it still feels awkward.

"Does he like to hunt at night?" Aurora asked Dae-ho.

"He likes to hunt and I don't know why he has to go hunting in the middle of the night in the forest."

"That's it. Let's not talk about it. Now, what about the construction of our resort."

"Thanks to Miss Jieun, all the problems with the resort's construction have been resolved. Now the workers have started to return to work."

Aurora was silent for a moment. She recalled what happened last night, her words to Tae-Gu, and wondered if Gi-Hoon's death had anything to do with the couple.

"Then I can return to York City. I will leave all the business matters on Jeju Island to you. You can run it well. Don't disappoint me."

"I won't let you down."

"Then book a ticket for me to go back to Seoul!"

Aurora sees Dae-Ho nodding, and the man withdraws. She also tidies up her things after Dae-Ho leaves her room. Aurora has finished tidying up all her belongings. She walks towards the door and opens it.

"You guys are here?" asked Aurora, who was a little surprised by Tae-Gu and Jiuen, who were in front of her.

"Can we talk?" asked Tae-Gu.

"Come in!"

Aurora opened the door of her room wide and walked to the sofa. She sat there, and it wasn't that long before Jiuen and Tae-Gu sat right across from her. She looked at the two of them intently.

"Tell me what your purpose is in coming to see me. Does this have anything to do with death, Gi-Hoon?" asked Aurora.

The two of them kept silent and did not answer the question she had just asked. She was even more curious about the purpose of their visit to her.

"Tae-Gu...."

"Forgive my brother. I will replace him to protect all your businesses on Jeju Island and Seoul," Jiuen immediately interrupted Aurora.

Aurora continued to look at Jieun and Tae-Gu. She felt more and more curious about all the things that happened, so they told her that. She thought that if something had happened or someone threatened the two of them.

"Aurora, this is all my wife and I can do to make up for all the wrongs that Gi-Hoon has done to you," Tae-Gu continued.

Aurora fell silent again when she heard Tae-Gu's explanation. She was a little surprised by what Gi-Hoon had done so far for all her businesses in Korea.

"Who has pressed you? Is that person also the one who has finished off Gi-Hoon?"
