27. Farewell Words
Igor looked at the person who had just entered the torture chamber. He didn't know if that person could enter the room so easily.
"Odelia, how did you get into this room?" asked Igor to the man who had just spoken to her.
"I invited her," replied Juan, who was behind Odelia.
Igor frowned. He was sceptical about whether Juan could trust the woman he had just met. He knew for sure that Juan had difficulty trusting a woman.
"I leave the traitor to you," said Igor as he stood up and walked out of the room.
"Igor, do you believe in that woman?" asked Ethan, who was the same as Igor and knew very well what Juan was like.
"We'll see later. Now you guys rest!" replied Igor.
Igor walked to his room. Something was still holding him back about Odelia. For some reason, he felt the woman had something to do with a thousand years ago.
"Why can't I remember it? After the incident, some of my memories disappeared, but all the things related to my love did not disappear either," Igor muttered as he continued to walk. Finally, he was in front of his room.
He opened the door and went into his room. Igor looked around but did not find Aurora. He walked towards the dressing room and the bathroom but still couldn't find her.
"She is gone," said Igor while sitting on the bed.
His phone rang. He took his mobile phone, which was on top of the nain. Igor picked it up and saw who had contacted him. He immediately picked it up because the one who contacted him was Ethan.
"What's wrong?" asked Igor after he picked up his phone.
He listened to Ethan, who said that he was currently with Aurora. The woman threatened him a little, so he was forced to follow all that Aurora wanted.
Igor smiled because Ethan was joking. He was sure that Aurora was upset to hear all of Ethan's words at this time.
"Ethan, give me your phone, Aurora!" Igor ordered Ethan.
It wasn't long before he heard Aurora's annoyed voice. He continued to listen to the woman's grumbling and occasionally smiled. However, his guilt reappeared when he remembered last night's incident.
"Trust me. I am your lover, past, present, and future," said Igor, which made Aurora return his phone to Ethan.
Igor also listened to several things Ethan conveyed. The man also asked Igor to forgive himself if he had made a mistake.
"Deliver it wherever she wants. Ethan, you have to remember to be vigilant always. I'm sure that person will attack her again," Igor said to Ethan on the other end of the phone.
Igor disconnected the phone after saying that to Ethan. He felt a little relieved that Aurora went with the person he trusted.
"I feel like Ethan's words are a farewell," Igor muttered after recalling what Ethan said before ending the call.
He shook his head and threw away all his bad thoughts. Igor is sure that Ethan is not a stupid and weak man. So far, he has trained Ethan well and has always been satisfied with his performance in carrying out the mission.
"Get rid of all your bad thoughts, Igor!" Igor said again to reassure himself as he got out of bed.
Just as he was about to walk to the balcony, his phone rang again. He took his phone back and picked it up because Ethan contacted him.
"Is there anything else you want to say, Ethan?" asked Igor after picking up the phone.
Igor was silent when he contacted her, and it was Aurora. He was a little surprised when he heard the sound of gunshots and Ethan screaming for help.
"Where are you? What happened?" asked Igor in a worried tone.
He left his room while hearing Aurora asking him to send help. Aurora said the one who pursued her was more than the enemies she usually faced.
"You don't worry! I'll pick you up soon!"
His phone line suddenly died after Igor said that. He shouted for all his bodyguards to get ready.
"Hans, get ready! Aurora and Ethan are in danger!" ordered Igor to Hans.
Everyone instantly moved and grabbed their weapons. They got into the car and started heading towards Aurora's current location.
Each car is equipped with a device to monitor its whereabouts. Igor was already in the car with Hans. His car sped off at high speed, following a sign indicating Ethan's current position.
"Faster, Hans!" ordered Igor.
"Okay."
Igor also tried to contact Ethan's cell phone, but it was inactive. He remembered Aurora's cell phone number and finally contacted him. There was a continuation tone, but Aurora did not lift it.
"Pick it up!" muttered Igor, increasingly worried about his condition.
A sense of impression and worry merged in his heart. He threw his phone on the car seat. It didn't take long for Hans to stop his car because a guard car was already in front of him.
"Have you found it?" asked Igor, who had just exited his car.
"The car is empty. Some people have already entered the forest to start the search," replied a bodyguard.
Without saying much, Igor immediately ran into the forest and was followed by Hans and the others. Igor uses the power of his sense of smell and runs as fast as he can because he smells the scent of Ethan's body.
"Ethan," Igor called out as he looked at Ethan sitting weakly under a tree.
Igor immediately checked Ethan's bloodied condition. He didn't expect Ethan to be like this, and he was sure that the enemy he was facing was beyond his ability.
"Igor, I'm sorry I couldn't protect him. They are so numerous, and I...."
"Where, Aurora?" asked Igor, who interrupted Ethan.
Before listening to Ethan's answer, Aurora's screams were heard. Igor reflexively ran towards Aurora's current voice. He arrived at the end of the ravine, and below him was a fairly rushing river.
"Aurora!" shouted Igor, who couldn't smell the scent of Aurora's body.
"Forever, you won't be able to be with him," said someone behind Igor.
