74. Prepare Everything
"Why don't you come out?" Aurora asked someone in her room again.
"Aren't you afraid of me?" someone replied in a cold tone.
"I'm not afraid. Come out and show yourself!" replied Aurora.
It wasn't long after Aurora said that the light in the room was on. She looked around, but there was no one. However, Aurora did really feel that there was someone in her room. She also wants to hear clearly what the person said just now.
"Am I hallucinating? However, I really felt it and heard that person's voice," Aurora muttered.
Aurora also remained vigilant and calm to ensure that no one else was in her room. She checked every corner of her room that could be used as a hiding place. She breathed a sigh of relief because no one was in her room.
"Is it possible that I am really hallucinating? So I feel that there is someone in the room?" Aurora muttered again as she walked closer to the bed.
She took her phone, which was on the nightstand, and then she sat on the bed. Aurora checked her phone, and several text messages were coming in, as well as a missed call from Celine.
"What's wrong with her contacting me?" asked Aurora while dialing her cousin's cell phone number.
There was a sound of a continuation tone, but Celine did not pick it up. She continued to try to contact her cousin even though the cousin still had not picked up the phone from her.
"Is she busy? Or is she in trouble?" Aurora muttered and kept trying to contact her.
She also decided to stop contacting Celine. She tried to think of a good thing and thought if the cousin was busy. Not long after, she received a message from Celine saying that she was busy and apologized for not being able to pick up the phone from her.
"Thank goodness. My cousin is fine," Aurora said, keeping her phone on the case.
Aurora was not yet sleepy, so she decided to read a storybook that she had not yet completed. An hour passed, and she looked towards the clock perched on the wall.
"Igor still hasn't returned. Maybe the work is not finished," said Aurora while keeping her book on the shelf.
She got up and walked towards the light switch, turning it off so that only the lights that were lit were on the nightstand. After that, she lay down on the bed.
Just as she was about to close her eyes, she heard her phone ring. Aurora took her phone and saw who had contacted her that night.
"Honey, are you still a long time?" Aurora asked after she picked up her phone from Igor.
Aurora listens to Igor, who says that he still can't come back. Igor also tells Aurora to stay calm because Odelia has also installed a more potent protector in her room.
"Do you know if I sensed someone entering the room just now?" Aurora asked Igor again, who was on the other end of the phone.
Igor replied that everything Aurora asked was true, and someone managed to enter the room. However, that person couldn't attack Aurora because Odelia noticed it quickly.
"Is it Odelia with you?" Aurora continued to ask after listening to Igor's answer.
Aurora again heard an answer from Igor, who said Odelia was currently with Hans and him. The two of them helped him solve some problems. However, Odelia had left because she had something to solve.
"Okay. Then I went to bed early. I hope that when I wake up in the morning, you will already be by my side," Aurora said to her lover.
She hung up her phone after hearing that Igor would try to get back sooner. Aurora also put her phone back on the nightstand, and then she lay down on her body. Aurora tried to close her eyes, and finally, she was able to fall asleep.
On the other hand, Igor is still with Hans, who talks about several things that must be done to manage his increased business. Igor also asked Hans to train a few more people who would later be used as bodyguards who could protect Aurora.
"You are preparing all this while you are going to face a war," said Juan, who had just arrived at the secret room and heard what Igor said to Hans.
"We do have to prepare because I feel that soon there will be a war that can determine my life and death," Igor replied, which made Hans and Juan speechless.
Igor already felt that something big would happen in his life if he met Aurora again. Now, he had to prepare because he didn't want the events of a thousand years ago to be repeated.
"If one day I'm in danger, you should go and take Aurora away. Either he or you must survive and live your new life," Igor told Hans and Juan.
"Why are you always unfair to us? You always think about our safety but not with yourself," Juan continued.
"That's right. You are so selfish if it hurts our safety and Aurora's," added Hans, who did not like Igor's decision.
They both revealed that they would never leave Igor no matter what happened. Perhaps this time, they would not obey all of Igor's orders if they told them to run away, leaving behind the man who had done much to the two of them.
"Never tell us to leave! Neither I nor Juan will ever obey!" said Hans to Igor, who was in front of him.
"That's right. Even if our lives are at stake, I will still fight with you," Juan continued confidently.
Igor sighed after hearing what the two men in front of him were expressing. He knew it would be tough for him to convince the two of them to leave him if things were already hazardous for all of them.
He also thought that Aurora would do the same thing as Hans and Juan said. The woman he loved could not have left him if his circumstances were already very unfavorable.
"Alright, then, let's end our talk tonight. Do everything I said now to prepare everything!" said Igor to Hans and Juan.
Igor walked away from the secret room, but he undid it, and then he turned his body over. He looked at Hans, who was also looking at him as well.
"What about your relationship with Odelia? Has he accepted your love?" asked Igor, who did not know about the development of their relationship.
"I still have to be patient," Hans replied with a smile.
"Don't be a weak man. I'm sure Odelia will be your lover," said Juan while patting Hans on the shoulder and encouraging him.
Igor saw the two men in front of him who were happy. He expected that time would pass slowly. So that he could see the two of them grow into brave men.
"Don't forget to rest. I'll go back to my room," Igor added, then he walked back out of the secret room.
Igor was already in the room. He saw Aurora, who was already asleep. He closed the door of her room tightly and then walked to the dressing room and changed his clothes.
After that, he came out and lay down on the bed right next to Aurora. He looked at the face of his beloved, whom he loved very much. He also recalled the beautiful memories of a thousand years ago.
"Can we be together forever? Or will fate separate us again?" muttered Igor while continuing to look at his lover's face.
Igor also put Aurora in his arms. He felt calm if he was beside her. He closed his eyes until he finally fell asleep.
It didn't take long for Igor to wake up again because he felt that something was strange with Aurora. He saw Aurora, who couldn't breathe while someone was suffocating him.
"Honey, get up!" ordered Igor while shaking his lover's body.
However, his actions did not wake Aurora up at all, so he finally hit her cheek quite hard. The slap woke Aurora up, and he immediately hugged her.
"What's wrong? What do you dream of so that it is like this?" asked Igor while continuing to hug Aurora.
He heard Aurora crying in his arms. Igor did not expect that his lover would win like this. He wondered if it could be that his dream was so bad that he made Aurora like this.
"Are you calm down?" asked Igor after Aurora stopped crying and pulled her body out of her arms.
Igor saw Aurora nodding and trying to regulate her emotions and breathing. She waited patiently for her lover to tell her about it.
"I dreamed of meeting my father, and he attacked me and didn't want to let me go if I didn't part with you," Aurora explained after calming down while staring at Igor.
"What if you follow all his wishes? Maybe there won't be a big battle that we have to face," Igor suggested after hearing Aurora's story about his dream.
"Never tell me to leave! Neither a thousand years ago nor now I will go. Even if I have to die, I'm sure we'll meet in another life."
Aurora emphasizes to Igor not to give up on him. She was sure that now the two of them would not lose to her father, who was the last vampire.
"I'm ready if he attacks me because he reminded me to prepare for his punishment," Aurora said to Igor again.
"Do you see his face now?" asked Igor, curious about Marcus's current face.
