56. A New Beginning
"You think you can finish us off easily," Aurora said as she shot the man and then ran back outside with Stella and the others.
An explosion occurred and made their bodies all bounce. Luckily, they all managed to survive, and they stood firm. They saw that the house they had been living in was destroyed.
"Are you all right?" asked Aurora to Stella and the three women who survived the attack.
"We're fine, but everything else," one woman replied as she stared at the house that a bomb blast had just destroyed.
"We better get out of here before anyone comes here again!" said Aurora to Stella and the three women nearby.
"I don't know where else to go. I still can't think about everything that just happened," said Stela.
"Come with me. I'll take you guys to a safe place for a while," Aurora continued.
"We can use that car," said one woman, pointing to her parked car, which was not close to the house that had just exploded.
Like Stela and the others, Aurora nodded and walked towards the car. The car then sped away from the destroyed house. And sure enough, not long after they left, several cars stopped in front of the house.
During the trip, everything was silent until they finally arrived at a house where Stela and her three friends would live. Aurora looked at the home she hadn't visited for a long time since she first bought it.
"This is where you guys will stay for a while," said Aurora after entering the house.
Aurora told them all to sit down. Meanwhile, she took several cans from the cooler to give to her four friends. Aurora had never been to the house, but she had already ordered someone to clean and tidy it up. She also stored some drinks and snacks that could last a long time.
She walked back to where Stela and the others were sitting. Aurora gave them a canned drink and sat down next to Stella. She paid attention to the three women in front of her.
She walked back to where Stela and the others were sitting. Aurora gave them a canned drink and sat down next to Stella. She looked at the three women who looked tired.
"Stela, what now? What will we do after this incident?" asked a woman who always followed Stella wherever she went.
Aurora listened to the woman's question while looking at Stela, who was beside her. She knew that the incident just now had destroyed the house that had become her friend's residence and place of work.
"Now you are free. You are free to do what you want," said Stela, looking at the three women who had been with her for several years.
"I'll follow you wherever you go," replied a woman who had just asked Stela.
The woman said she had no family and only Stela was her family. She also had no purpose, and now, she wanted to repay all the kindness that Stela had done to her.
Aurora continued to listen to the four women nearby. She thought they could all join her in building her dream.
"What if you guys come with me? I will prepare a place to live and work for you. However, maybe this job has nothing to do with the underworld or hitmen," Aurora asked the four women nearby.
"Okay. I agree with your offer," Stela replied.
"May I come with you too?" asked one of the women near Aurora.
"You can come with me, but if you have any other plans or goals, I don't mind if you go," Aurora replied as she looked at the women in front of her individually.
She smiled as she saw the three women nodding their heads. Aurora also said that some of her plans to build her small business are cafes, which have been her dream since childhood.
"This house is only for a while before everything is ready," Aurora said again to everyone in the room.
Aurora listened to a few things that all of them wanted. She smiled again because she could fulfill everything they wanted if the business went smoothly.
"Then I'm leaving. You wait for news from me and consider this your home," Aurora said to them all again.
After saying that, Aurora walked towards her house's garage. She took a car key and got into it. Before she ran the car, she sent a message to the person who used to guard her house about Stella and her three other friends.
Aurora drove her car out of the house. She increased the speed of the car and headed straight to her house because she had something to take. Not long after, she arrived at her house and went straight to the room. She took a photo frame that was on top of the nightstand.
"Dad, Mom, forgive me; maybe I can't quickly avenge the two of you," Aurora said while gently rubbing the photo of her parents.
She looked around her room and threw her body on the bed. Aurora looked up at the ceiling and closed her eyes for a moment to rest her body and mind, and finally, she fell asleep.
"Aurora...."
Call someone who makes her open her eyes. Aurora looked around the room but saw no one else but herself. She again heard the voice of someone who kept calling out to her.
Aurora got off the bed and walked out from inside her room. She followed the voice that kept calling her name until she was in the garden behind her house.
"Who are you? Why are you hiding? Show yourself!" shouted Aurora to the person who kept calling her from now on.
She also turned around to look for the person. However, Aurora did not find the person. Aurora again told the person to come out, but only some people came.
"Could I have misheard?" muttered Aurora as she continued to sweep around her.
Aurora turned around and walked back into her house. However, she again heard someone calling her back.
"Hey, you wait!" shouted Aurora after she saw the shadow of someone running into the garden.
The man didn't stop, and Aurora ran after the person until she stopped at a large tree. She thought for a moment while looking at the big tree.
"I didn't know there was a tree this big in my garden?" muttered Aurora as she continued to look at the big tree.
"Aurora...."
Aurora turned her body backward. How surprised he was to see what was in front of her. She was glued, and her body couldn't move according to her wishes.
She kept looking at what was in front of her and didn't feel tears dripping down her cheeks. She stretched out her hand while wanting to touch or pull the person before her.
"No... don't do that! Don't...."
