32. Life And Death
Aurora's body floated, enveloped in a white aura. She was still screaming in pain, which made Igor even more worried. Meanwhile, Odelia still tried to exert all her strength to help Aurora.
"Aurora, fight back! I'm sure you can fight her!" shouted Odelia as she continued to channel her power to Aurora.
Igor couldn't do anything looking at all that. However, he could no longer bear to hear the screams of pain of the woman he loved. Now, he only hopes that Odelia can overcome everything.
He looked at Odelia, who had run out of energy. However, it still can't make Aurora regain consciousness. Igor also approached Aurora and intended to resuscitate the woman.
"Aurora, open your eyes!" shouted Igor after he managed to hug Aurora's body.
Igor continues to force his body so that he can always hug Aurora. However, he also feels pain and begins to be injured due to the aura that envelops Aurora's body.
"Let her go, Igor! You can die!" shouted Odelia.
However, Igor did not care about Odelia's words. He continued to try to rejuvenate his woman until he finally transformed into a werewolf. Igor howled in pain and continued to maintain his consciousness. He didn't care if he was going to die.
"Don't do this! The thousand years you spent with her will be in vain," Odelia said again to Igor and Aurora.
The white aura that enveloped Aurora and Igor's bodies turned red, surprising Odelia. Odelia again exerted all her power.
"I won't let you be destroyed!" said Odelia.
An explosion bounced Odelia's body. She couldn't move anymore, and her body felt weak because all her strength was drained to save Igor and Aurora.
However, Aurora and Igor were still floating, surrounded by a red aura. Slowly, the aura absorbed the strength or life of the two of them.
"Igor, I won't let you die," said Aurora, who was already awake.
Slowly, the red aura turned back to white. Aurora hugs Igor, who is still in the form of a werewolf. Her body and Igor's body went down, and she put her feet on the floor.
"Aurora ...," Igor said in a weak tone. After that, Igor transforms into a human.
"Igor ...," Aurora called out after seeing the man unconscious.
It wasn't long before the door opened, and Aurora saw Juan walking in with Hans. The two of them immediately approached her and checked Igor's condition.
"You two take Igor to his room!" ordered Aurora to Hans and Juan.
Aurora saw them nodding and led Igor out of the room. Meanwhile, she was still in the room with Odelia. She approached her friend, who was sitting weakly on the floor.
"Are you okay?" asked Aurora to Odelia.
"Finally, you are back."
"I'm sorry I couldn't recognize you."
"It's okay. I'm relieved that you can finally remember about our past lives."
"Odelia ...," Aurora shouted after seeing her friend drooping limply and unconscious.
Aurora ran out of the room. She shouted, calling for someone to help her. It wasn't long before she saw two men approaching her.
"What happened?" asked Hans, who returned after helping Juan bring Igor to the room.
"Help me. Bring Odelia to her room."
Hans immediately went into the room and carried Odelia without saying much. He walked quickly to a room that Odelia often occupied when he was injured.
Aurora followed Hans to a room. She was worried about her friend's condition. However, in her heart, he also felt concerned about Igor.
"What about Igor?" asked Aurora to Hans.
"Juan is currently examining it."
"Go! Meet him, and you don't have to worry about me," said Odelia, who had come to her senses after hearing Aurora and Hans' conversation.
"No. I'll be waiting for you here."
"I'm fine. I'll recover only with enough rest."
"Are you sure?" Aurora asked Odelia again.
Odelia nodded her head and replied, "I'm sure. You go and see how it goes. I'm sure you have a lot to talk about with him."
"Okay. Then I'm leaving. Hans, can you stay here to take care of her?"
"You just calm down. I'll be here," Hans replied.
Aurora smiled and walked out of the room. She went straight to Igor's room to see how he was doing. During the journey, Aurora thought about everything that had happened. She didn't believe that her past was closely tied to that man. Aurora stopped her steps. When she was already at the door of Igor's room, she was about to open the door, but the door was open.
"How are things, Juan?" Aurora asked after learning that Juan had opened the door to Igor's room.
"I can't be sure yet. You see for yourself."
"Why can't you be sure? Is the wound that bad?"
"You just look inside."
"Please check Odelia's condition. She was unconscious just now," Aurora said again after she saw Juan leave her.
"Okay. Aurora, how are you? Do I need to check on you before I check, Odelia?"
"I'm fine. You'd better check on the state of Odelia, who has been struggling so hard this time."
Aurora saw Juan nodding his head, and the man left her. She then went into the room and closed the door again. She walked closer to Igor, who was lying on the bed.
She sat right next to Igor and looked at him. She held her hand and kissed the back of the man's palm.
"I'm sorry for not recognizing you and not believing in you," said Aurora while holding Igor's hand.
She continued to look at Igor's face and recalled memories from a thousand years ago. Aurora didn't think she would still be able to meet Igor after her death a thousand years ago. Aurora pressed her head against Igor's chest and didn't fall asleep.
Aurora opened her eyes when she felt something touch her head. She changed her body position and looked at the sun already shining in the room. After that, she looked back at Igor.
"Good morning," said Aurora with a gentle smile at Igor, who was staring at her.
Aurora continued to stare at Igor, who did not respond to her words, and then she asked again, "Have you forgotten me?"
She was surprised because Igor took her hand and pulled her into his arms. However, it didn't take long for her to smile and feel happy to be in the arms of the man she loved.
"I miss you so much, my lover," said Aurora.
"You already remember all about our love a thousand years ago?" asked Igor after he let go of his embrace.
Aurora nodded and then said, "I remembered about us a thousand years ago, but there are still things that get in the way."
"What is it?"
