70. Ending A Relationship
"They won't hurt without my orders," said a man who had just walked into Celine's office.
"Thom, don't make trouble in my company! Do you think you can act as you want here?" said Aurora.
Aurora looked at Thom, who was approaching her, and sat quietly on the sofa. The man looked at her with a smile as if nothing had happened to her after the overnight attack on Igor Castle.
"I just want to talk to you. Do I not have that right?" Thom answered and ended with a question to the woman in front of him.
"Want to talk to me? Why do you have to bring them all?"
"I'm just on guard."
"Now, say what you want?" Aurora said, not wanting to linger for a long time looking at the man in front of her.
"Separate from Igor and come with me because I can make you happy."
Thom keeps saying what he wants and all the plans he has made if Aurora accepts his love. He was so confident in all the plans he had made that Aurora could choose him.
Aurora only listened and paid attention to the man in front of her. She didn't know what made the man so confident that she would accept his love, so she decided to leave Igor.
"Thom, aren't you tired of all this? She doesn't love you at all. I think you better give up and let Aurora live happily with her lover," Celine interrupted while looking at Thom.
"You better not interfere. You take care of your relationship with Marcus! I heard you also decided to leave that man. Is that true?" said Thom, and then he smiled faintly.
Celine doesn't accept what Thom says about her. The two of them begin to argue, and no one wants to give in.
Aurora held Celine's hand so that her cousin could keep her emotions. She knew for sure that a man like Thom didn't want to give in because he felt that he was right.
"How does it feel after you see with your own eyes your lover, another woman?" Thom asked Celine again in a seductive tone.
"You!"
"You'd better just shut up! Find a man who really loves you and never interferes with my affairs with Aurora!" interrupted Thom before Celine continued her sentence.
"I think you'd better shut up! Actually, I'm already tired of you. Get rid of your obsession with me because I emphasize again if I will only belong, Igor alone," Aurora continued in a firm tone.
Aurora again asked the man in front of her a few things. She wanted to know if Thom really let go of her and let her live in peace with her lover.
"That's impossible. Do you know if you're still with Igor, then you're going to die?" added Thom.
Aurora felt that Thom's words this time were serious. She looked at the man intently, wondering if he knew something so that he could say such a thing to her.
"What do you know about my relationship with Igor? How can you know if I'm going to die if I continue to be with him?" Aurora asked Thom in a serious tone as she looked at him with interrogating looks.
"I just know because trust me! I am doing all this for your salvation. I don't want anything bad to happen to you," replied Thom.
Aurora smiled and said, "Protecting me? Did you mean to protect me by sending a hitman to finish me off last night?"
"What? Someone attacked you last night? Really, I didn't do that! I'm sure if this is a warning if you are beside Igor, then you will be in danger, and even you will die."
Thom went on to say how dangerous it would be if Aurora continued to be next to Igor. He is willing to do anything for Aurora's safety, but on the condition that Aurora should leave Igor and go with him.
Aurora shook her head and smiled. Thom had made a great effort to make him release Igor. However, as hard and as big her efforts were, she still could not make him leave Igor.
"I know if you don't believe me. However, I can assure you that your days won't calm down if you continue to be with Igor," Thom said to Aurora again.
"You don't have to worry about me. I can protect myself, and Igor won't stay silent if anyone wants to harm me."
Aurora also said that she loved Igor very much and no one could change her. She only hopes that Thom doesn't continue to bother her and let her go to be happy with her lover.
She saw Thom sighing, and then the man got up and walked out of the room. However, the man stopped his steps after being near the exit.
"I won't give up because I love you, and I don't want you to suffer or even lose your life," Thom said, and then he walked back out of Celine's office with the bodyguards who came with him.
Aurora fell silent after hearing every word uttered by Thom. She also began to wonder if everything the man said was true. However, even though she had to die, she was willing to die in Igor's arms.
"Do you believe what the man said?" asked Celine to her cousin who was beside her.
"I don't know. I don't know whether to believe in Thom or not. However, what is certain is that I will not give up, and I will remain with Igor," Aurora replied while leaning her body behind the sofa.
Aurora fell silent again and tried to calm down, thinking about the steps she would need to take. She also remembered her conversation with Igor and Hans.
"I hope you really like Igor, and don't let you be like me. However, I can judge if your lover is a man who is loyal to his love for you," said Celine. Then she got up, walked to her desk, and sat on her work chair.
Aurora sighed and said, "I'm leaving. I hope you watch out for Thom and Marcus."
"Don't worry about me. I'm sure Marcus or Thom can't do anything to me. You are the one who has to be careful with them, and I hope that if you need any help from me, contact me."
There was a ringing sound of a mobile phone coming from Celine's phone. The woman took her phone and picked it up. She listened to what the person on the other side of the phone was saying.
Aurora signs to her cousin if she leaves. She sees her cousin nodding, after which she goes outside from inside Celine's study. She goes straight to her car and drives it out of the company area. She does not realize that a car is following her.
She kept spurring her car and thought about heading to her café. Aurora wanted to know about the café's developments, and there was something for her to talk about with Stella and Odelia.
"What do they want?" asked Aurora after she realized there was a car following her.
Aurora continued to spur her car and tried to stay calm. She didn't want those who were chasing her to know that she was already aware of their presence. Finally, she arrived at the café and saw that the car had stopped not far from her café.
"I want to see how much patience they have to wait for me," Aurora muttered as she stepped out of the car and into the café.
"I don't think you're coming today," Stela greeted after she saw Aurora's arrival.
"Someone followed me, and they stopped the car there," Aurora continued while giving the code to Stela.
"I'll investigate it, and you will calm down."
Aurora nodded, and she saw Stela leave with her two companions. She believed in their abilities. She also entered her office while waiting for news from Stela.
She sat in her work chair and saw that there were several sheets of documents that she had to check. Aurora examined the sheets of files on her desk one by one.
"Who are those who are already in the interrogation room?" Odelia, who had just entered the workspace, asked.
"Apparently, Stela has already arrested them all. Do they want to talk already?" replied Aurora, asking Odelia again.
"I don't know if they've spoken or not, but who are they?"
"Those who followed me since I left the company after talking to Celine."
Aurora said that Celine decided to end her relationship with Marcus. She looked towards the glass wall and saw Stela giving her a sign.
"Do you want to come with me?" asked Aurora to Odelia, who was in front of her.
"Where are you going?"
"Look at those who have followed me."
Aurora got up and walked out of the room, followed by Odelia. She was about to head to the interrogation room but stopped for a moment when she saw a car stop right in front of her café.
She saw four men in all-black suits enter the café. In the middle of them was a man named Marcus.
"What made you meet me here?" asked Aurora to the man in front of her.
