68. For Your Good

Aurora is still waiting for Odelia's arrival. She hears the sound of someone knocking on her room door, and she walks closer to the door and opens it. She sees that Odelia is already standing before her.

"Come in!" ordered Aurora as she opened the door of her room.

Aurora closed the door to her room after her theme came in and sat on the sofa. She also sat there and looked at Odelia, who was staring at her.

"What's wrong?" asked Odelia to Aurora, who was opposite her.

"I met a man named Marcus Griffin."

"Marcus Griffin?"

Aurora nodded and said that Celine's lover was Marcus Griffin. She also asked Odelia if she felt something that made her afraid while she was close to the man.

"Do you think this is not a coincidence?" Aurora asked Odelia again.

"I don't know. If you think that man was your father a thousand years ago. Then we have to make sure it comes back."

"But the man looks Igor's age and doesn't look the same as my father a thousand years ago. A father who is willing to kill his daughter because she loves a werewolf," continued Aurora.

Aurora then listened again to what Odelia said. Her friend will find out who Celine's lover really is. If the man was indeed the same Marcus, then they should all start being careful.

When the two of them were talking about Marcus, Igor and Hans were seen entering the room. That made Odelia stop talking, and her eyes fell on Hans.

"I'll investigate it. I hope you can be more careful because I don't know what that man is going to do," Odelia said to Aurora as she left the room.

Aurora was just silent, listening to what Odelia said. She saw Hans leave the room to chase her friend.

"Honey, what did you guys discuss just now?" asked Igor to Aurora.

"I discussed Marcus with Odelia. I still can't think calmly. Moreover, after all, Celine is my cousin in this life."

Aurora was shocked when she heard Odelia's scream. She got up and rushed out of the room, followed by Igor. She sped up her steps straight to Odelia, who was arguing with Hans.

"I've told you not to chase me anymore! Would you like it if your life were lost? You better find a woman who can make you happy!" Odelia said to Hans.

Aurora was standing near her friend. However, she did not interfere with the problems that Odelia and Hans were facing. She was sure that her friend had made a good decision for him and Hans.

"I don't care if I have to sacrifice my life to protect you. To me you are the woman I love and can make me happy," said Hans.

"Do you know, Hans? My task is not finished and it is so heavy. Maybe my job can keep you in a circle of suffering in some lives," Odelia explained to Hans.

"Odelia...."

"Why is it so difficult for him to understand? I did all this for his good. My life has been so painful to see every loved one die before my eyes," Odelia cuts in after she hears Aurora call her name.

Aurora fell silent again and listened to everything Odelia said. For a thousand years after her death, she didn't know what had happened. Odelia may have experienced a lot of suffering all this time.

"Tell me! Am I in your past and we are lovers? And you saw my death?" asked Hans in a pressing tone at Odelia.

"Yes!"

Aurora had already assumed that because Odelia was so adamant about rejecting Hans's love. It was clear that there was a hint of surprise on Hans's face. However, it didn't take long for the man to take a step forward so that he could get closer to Odelia.

"I don't want the events of the past to repeat themselves. Either the relationship between the two of us or the relationship between Igor and Aurora," Odelia said again to Hans and everyone nearby.

Aurora stared intently at the woman in front of her. It reminded her of a few things when she was with Odelia a thousand years ago.

"We can change our fate. The past will not be the same as the present. Rest assured if we can overcome everything and we can always be together," Hans said softly to Odelia as he held her hand.

Odelia looked intently at the man in front of her and said, "We can't be together forever because I can't die while you're going to grow old and die."

"At least the two of you can be together and live happily until death separates," continued Aurora.

Aurora doesn't want Odelia to sacrifice her feelings and love for the man she loves. She was sure that Odelia still loved Hans, whether a thousand years ago or now.

"Couldn't we try to change the sad past in the present? Or are you really not sure if the black shadow from our past can be defeated?" Aurora asked her friend again.

After she asked like that, Hans asked Odelia again. The man's thoughts were the same as hers. It may not feel easy because neither she nor Hans is just an ordinary human who can die.

Aurora glanced at Igor. She felt that her lover was thinking about something because she did not talk about it. However, she also believes that if Igor and Odelia think a little alike, their relationship can end with human aging and then death.

"Let's just try it first, okay? We live together that has been separated because of death," said Hans, who tried to convince Odelia of her.

"I...."

"Don't think about the memories of the past and death. I don't mind that because humans are bound to die. However, before I died ... I want to feel happiness together with the woman I love, you, Odelia," Hans interrupted before Odelia continued her sentence.

"Give me time to think," Odelia replied.

"How long will it take you? Isn't a thousand years not enough for our parting?"

"Two days. I'll think about it but during those two days I hope we don't have to meet first. I also don't want you to keep calling or texting me."

Aurora was a little surprised by Odelia's conditions for Hans. She didn't understand why her friend could ask such a thing of Hans, who really wanted to be with her all the time.

"Don't you believe me?" Odelia again asked Hans, who did not answer or agree to all the conditions he requested.

"Okay. I will obey everything you want. However, after the time runs out you have to accept me and I don't want any more rejection because I'm an ordinary human who can die."

Aurora saw Odelia nodding. After that, Odelia said goodbye and left. Aurora could only see her friend's departure, and then she looked back at Hans.

"I'm sorry for bothering you guys to rest," Hans said to Aurora and Igor, who was in front of her.

"I hope you can be happy and together with the woman you love," continued Aurora.

Aurora saw Hans smiling, and then the man walked away from her. However, the man paused his steps for a moment, turned his body around, and looked at her.

"Thank you for helping me," Hans said again, and he walked back away from Aurora and Igor.

Aurora looked at Igor beside her and asked, "Do you think the same way, Odelia?"

She continued to look at Igor, who did not answer her question. Aurora felt a little annoyed with Igor, who initially pursued her love and tried so hard to remind herself of the events of a thousand years ago.

Now, for some reason, she felt that there was starting to be a little doubt in the man's heart. Aurora didn't wait for Igor's answer, so she decided to go back to her room.

Aurora sat on the bed and remembered what had happened just then. If Hans and Odelia are reunited, she will be happy. However, now she feels that there is something wrong with Igor's attitude that he is just silent.

"What could be his doubts this time after his meeting with, Marcus Griffin?" muttered Aurora.

"Doubts are a pleasant thing. Don't you know what it's like to see his lover's death right before his eyes?" asked someone who surprised Aurora.

"Who are you?" asked Aurora to the person wearing a black robe and wearing a black mask so she couldn't see it clearly.

The person quickly shot closer towards Aurora and strangled her. Aurora couldn't fight that person and felt that the person's aura was so oppressive that it made her feel weak.

"Choose who dies first?" the person asked as they lifted Aurora's body.

Aurora held the person's hand and tried to let go. However, her body felt weak, and she started to find it difficult to breathe.

She released his right hand and tried to pull off the mask covering the face of the person who was about to finish her off. However, the person threw her body so hard on the floor. Aurora coughed and tried to catch her breath. She was surprised again because the man was approaching her again.

"Your lover can't save you," said the person, then took out a sharp weapon and was going to end Aurora's life.
