69. Who Said

"Who says I can't hide it?" asked Igor after he managed to grab the man's hand and throw it until it fell on the table.

Aurora tried to stand up while regulating her breathing. She saw the man was about to run away, but Igor quickly managed to catch her. She also saw Igor attacking the man without giving him a chance to fight back.

"Is your master still afraid to confront me head-on?" asked Igor after he managed to remove the mask that covered the man's face.

Aurora saw a man with so many scars on his face. She thought it might be because the wound required the man to wear a mask.

"Just finish me off! If not, I will finish off your lover!" said the man in a defiant tone to Igor.

"It's not that easy! I want you to feel how painful the suffering I am about to inflict. Even if you die, I will bring you back to life and give you excruciating suffering," Igor continued.

Aurora got goosebumps when she heard what Igor said. And she felt an aura that was so oppressive that it was suffocating. It wasn't long before Hans and a few bodyguards entered her room.

"You know what to do, don't you?" asked Igor to the bodyguards behind Hans.

"We'll do according to the rules you've made," replied one of the bodyguards, and then he went to take the helpless man with him.

"Everything is according to what you said," Hans said to Igor, who was in front of him.

"I've already predicted what that person will do."

"Who are you referring to?" asked Aurora, who still didn't understand the person who told the man to finish her off.

"Who else, if not Thom Collins," Igor replied.

"How could he possibly want to finish me off?"

"He just wants to scare you or get hurt. So that he can make you leave my side."

Aurora listened to her lover's explanation. She didn't think that if Thom did something that could put her in danger like she did a few months ago, the man would do something again even though she had already given the man a chance.

"Do you still not believe what I said? Or do you really believe that the man really loves me?" Igor asked Aurora.

"Why do you think I'm like that?" Aurora asked Igor back.

"It could be that you don't believe it because a man who loves you can't possibly do all this," Igor answered with a slightly annoyed tone.

Aurora looked at Igor intently and then smiled because she felt that her lover was jealous at the moment. She took a few steps forward until she was in front of Igor.

"Are you still jealous of him? Don't you also know that my love is only for you alone? There will be no man who can replace your position in my heart either a thousand years ago or today," Aurora explained while continuing to stare at her lover.

She continued to bring her body closer while smiling and teasing her lover. Aurora put her hands together and then looked up slightly to see Igor clearly.

"Does this hurt?" asked Igor while touching Aurora's neck.

"Yes. However, this wound must be healing quickly, so you don't have to worry about me."

"So what should be done? Are we just going to be silent about all the things Thom did to your lover?" asked Hans to Igor and Aurora.

"It's up to you to do whatever you want to do with him. I don't want to deal with that anymore," Aurora replied.

"Are you sure?" asked Igor.

Aurora nodded her head and told Igor that she didn't care about what would happen to Thom anymore. For her, it was enough to give the man a chance to improve his attitude.

"Well then, I won't hesitate to talk to him anymore," Igor said.

"Then I'll leave first. There is something I have to do," continued Hans, who already knows what to do.

Aurora saw Hans depart. After that, she sat on the bed. She saw Igor walking towards a cupboard and picking up a medicine box.

"I'll treat your wounds," Igor said as he sat down next to Aurora and opened the medicine box that was already nearby.

Aurora nodded, and she remained seated while Igor treated her wounds. She laid down her body after Igor finished treating her.

"You go to sleep! I'll take care of you," Igor said in a soft tone as he lay down beside Aurora.

Aurora smiled, happy that Igor would always be by her side. She put her body into Igor's arms and tried to close her eyes.

"Honey, do you still feel curious about your cousin's lover?" asked Igor to Aurora.

Aurora opened her eyes again and replied, "Yes. I feel that Marcus has the same aura as my father a thousand years ago."

She again said that she still couldn't believe that Marcus was the same person as her father. Aurora also told Igor that she had asked Odelia for help to investigate in depth about the man.

"Do you feel what I feel?" Aurora asked her lover.

Aurora waited for an answer from Igor, but she couldn't hear his voice. She also looked at Igor, and apparently, her lover was asleep.

"I'm sure no matter what happens, we will get through it, and we will be together to make up for our separation a thousand years ago," Aurora said again, closing her eyes.

Aurora woke up the next day. She had already seen Igor beside her. She thought maybe her lover went to do work.

She got off the bed and walked to the balcony. Aurora looked at the garden in front of her. She took a breath of fresh air in the morning and then smiled because she saw Igor waving his hand.

"Who is that man?" Aurora muttered as she saw Igor talking to a man she didn't recognize yet.

Aurora stood on the balcony not long ago, and then she went back into her room. She walked towards the nightstand and took her phone. She saw a short message sent by Celine.

She read and replied to the message and then put her phone back on the nightstand. Aurora immediately prepares because she is going to the company to meet Celine.

"Come in!" ordered Aurora to someone who knocked on the door of her room.

The door of the room opened, and she saw a servant bringing breakfast for her. The servant also arranged it on the table.

"Has your master had breakfast?" asked Aurora to the servant.

"Master asked you to have breakfast first," replied the servant.

"Do you know who the man your master is talking to?" Aurora asked the servant again.

Aurora saw the maid shake her head. She also allowed the servant to return to the kitchen to finish her work.

She ate breakfast that was already on the table. After finishing, Aurora took her bag and cell phone. She walked out of the room and headed straight to her car.

"Aurora, do you want to go?" asked Juan, who had just arrived at the castle.

"Yes. There are things I have to complete at the company," Aurora replied.

"Do I need to prepare a driver?"

"No need. I want to go alone."

After saying that, Aurora immediately got into her car. She drove her car out of the castle and headed straight to her company.

It didn't take her long to arrive at her company. She went straight to the room where Celine worked during her absence.

"What's wrong?" asked Aurora as she sat on the couch after she walked into Celine's workspace.

Aurora saw Celine approaching her and sat right next to her. She stared intently at the woman beside her and felt that there was something wrong with her cousin.

"I've decided to follow what Igor said," Celine replied to Aurora's surprise.

"What do you mean this has to do with it, Marcus?"

Aurora saw Celine nodding her head, and the woman said that her decision was unanimous. The cousin felt that she had misjudged Marcus all this time.

"Has something happened? So you decide to end your relationship with him. Weren't you very sure of that man's love yesterday?" asked Aurora to the cousin.

"I saw him with another woman. He enjoyed his company with the woman so much. For some reason, I don't like to see all of that even though he often sees men and women who aren't his girlfriends."

"Have you asked Marcus about that woman? And what does he actually think of you like?"

"I didn't ask him because everything I saw was enough to break my ties with him."

After listening to all of Celine's explanations, she felt that her cousin was hiding something else. She was sure that the problem wasn't just Marcus having an affair with another woman. There must be something else that the cousin is hiding.

"Is there anything more fatal than infidelity?" Aurora asked her cousin again.

Celine nodded and answered, "He…."

Before Celine continued her sentence, several men were seen entering the workspace.

"Who are you guys?"
