7. I Miss You

Aurora looked ahead. She continued to pay attention to the man talking to a woman. Reflexively, she looked to the side because someone got into the car. A man sat quietly right beside her.
"You... why are you here?" asked Aurora to the man who had just gotten into her car.
"I miss you. Is it not allowed?"
Aurora smiled when she heard the man's reply. She also didn't expect that the man next to her would be able to find her whereabouts even though it has been a long time since the two of them have been in contact.
Aurora finally decided to get out of the car. She approached the man, who was an employee of her company. She also looked at the woman, who looked so frightened that it looked as if someone was chasing her.
"What's wrong, Dae-Ho?" asked Aurora to the man.
Before hearing the answer from the man, it was seen that four men stopped in front of him. Their breath was gasping for air. Maybe they had been chasing after the woman who was almost hit by Dae-Ho just now.
"Rotten woman! Why are you so hard to give up!" said a man in an annoyed tone.
Aurora looked back at the woman behind her out of fear. She also used her body as a shield to protect the woman.
"You better not interfere otherwise...."
"If I want to interfere, what will you do?" interrupted Aurora before the man continued her sentence.
The four men looked upset and were about to attack the people who were getting in the way of their work. However, they stopped his plan because they saw someone who had just come outside from inside the car.
Aurora realized that and immediately looked back. Behind her was a man who had just gotten into her car.
"I didn't think they were afraid of you, Tae-Gu."
"Maybe they missed it. How can criminals like them fear weak men like me."
"Miss, thank you for saving me," the woman beside Aurora interrupted.
Aurora looks at the woman and asks Dae-Ho to drop her off. She thinks it's possible that the four men still want to capture the woman.
"But Miss... what about you?" asked Dae-Ho.
"You don't have to worry. There is a strong man who will protect me," Aurora replied while staring at Tae-Gu.
Aurora sees Dae-Ho nodding his head. She walks closer to the car and takes her bag. After that, she follows Tae-Gu and enters the man's car.
Inside the car, Aurora didn't talk much. However, she listened to Tae-Gu, who talked incessantly. Sometimes, she felt strange about why she liked it.
"Why are you just silent?" asks Tae-Gu as he stops his car right before the hotel's entrance.
"Tae-Gu, be honest with me! You know who they are, don't you?"
Aurora sees Tae-Gu nodding, and the man says everything. For some reason, she thinks the man hasn't changed since she last met him a few years ago. Not long after, she hears the ringing sound of a mobile phone coming from his coat pocket.
"Pick it up! Maybe there is something important," said Aurora.
Tae-Gu nodded and picked up his phone. He listened to the person's words on the other end of the phone.
"I'll go there soon. You don't go anywhere, okay!" said Tae-Gu, then hung up the phone.
"Thank you for escorting me. Then I will enter first," continued Aurora.
"Aurora, come to the mask party I made tonight."
"Okay. I'll come," Aurora replied while taking the invitation that Tae-Gu presented to her.
Aurora also got out of the car and went straight into the hotel. A woman was waiting for her arrival, and the woman immediately escorted her to the room.
She took the phone and contacted Odelia. She asked her friend to send her a dress and mask that she would wear tonight to attend Tae-Gu's party.
"You just calm down. Me and Tae-Gu are over. My goal here is only one: to solve the resort problem, and after that, we go back to York."
After saying that, Aurora disconnected the phone. She walked towards the balcony and saw a beautiful expanse of water, as well as the flowers blooming.
It wasn't long before she went back into her room. She approached the door and saw who was knocking. Aurora immediately opened the door because the knocker was Dae-Ho.
"Miss, this is the dress that Odelia ordered to hand over to you," said Dae-Ho after the lady opened the bedroom door.
"Come in!" said Aurora, taking the dress in Dae-Ho's hand.
Aurora keeps her dress on the bed. Likewise, a tote bag that Dae-Ho had just given her had a mask inside. She will also wear some jewellery tonight.
"Is there anything you want to say?" asked Aurora to Dae-Ho.
"Tonight at Mr. Tae-Gu's party there will be people having problems with our company."
"Explain to me!"
Aurora sat on the sofa and listened to all that Dae-Ho was saying. She didn't expect to meet the culprit who had caused her resort to have problems so quickly.
"Miss, are you sure you go there yourself? Otherwise, I can accompany you," Dae-Ho asked.
"You just calm down. I can handle it myself. Now, all you have to do is look for the weaknesses of our rivals."
"I understand, and I'll work on it quickly."
"Good."
"Then I'm leaving. I'll prepare a driver and a car to take you to the party tonight," Dae-Ho continued, and then he left the lady's room.
Aurora was silent for a moment. She rethought all that Dae-Ho had already explained. She sighed, then stood up and began to prepare to go to the mask party.
Aurora finished preparing to head straight to one of the resorts where the mask party was held. She saw that many invited guests had attended, all of them wearing masks so that she couldn't recognize them.
"It's been a long time since we've seen each other, Aurora Baylee," someone said while hugging her from behind, surprising Aurora because someone recognized her
