8. Misunderstand
Aurora remained calm even though men hugged her from behind. Although she could beat the man, tonight, she didn't want to make a fuss. She also tried to recognize the man who, until this moment, was still hugging her.
"Let go if not...."
"What are you going to do? Are you going to beat me up in front of them all?" the man interrupted. He showed that he was not afraid of Aurora's threat at all.
"You're the one who challenged me, Toms Collins!" said Aurora, who already recognized the man's voice.
Without saying much more, she stepped on the man's right foot. The man let go of his hug, and he heard the man moaning in pain while stroking his legs. Aurora turned her body around and looked at Toms intently. She found it strange that the man could recognize her so quickly when wearing a mask.
"Come on, Aurora. Why are you so hearty with me?"
"Aren't you the one who asked for it? You think I can't do it here?"
Aurora continued to chime in at Toms, who kept asking him not to be mean to her. She was silent momentarily and felt that she had been childish for chiming in on the man. She shook her head and then walked away from Toms.
She took a glass of drink from the tray of a waiter who crossed paths with her. She glanced at Toms and smiled because someone was talking to the man.
"Thankfully, I was free from him," Aurora muttered as she walked to the corner of the room.
She calmly enjoyed the dance music being played by several musicians. Several couples had danced.
A few moments later, a woman stood near the musician. The woman stopped the musician's accompaniment and held a loudspeaker. She also began to say a few words. After that, the music was played again.
"It turns out you came to my party," said one man, removing his mask.
"How can you recognize me, Tae-Gu? Aren't there some strangers at this party as well?"
"Even though your hair is black, I can still recognize you well."
Aurora smiled when she heard Tae-Gu's reply. The two of them have known each other for more than three years. She realized that Toms was walking towards her.
"Can we talk in a quieter place?" asked Aurora to Tae-Gu.
"Come with me!"
Aurora followed Tae-Gu as he left the party room. She continued walking until he reached a park behind the resort. She stopped at a gazebo and sat on one of the chairs there.
"What do you want to talk to me about?" asked Tae-Gu after sitting beside Aurora.
"You know the person who hindered me in constructing my resort on this island?"
Aurora looked at Tae-Gu, who was speechless after hearing her question. She felt sure that the man next to her knew that person.
"Why are you silent?" Aurora asked Tae-Gu again.
She was a little surprised as the man held her hand. She saw the look on Tae-Gu's face that looked regretful.
"Tae-Gu, why is it like this? Do you want to eliminate the opportunity I've already given?"
Aurora instantly looked at a woman who had just asked Tae-Gu a question in a disappointed tone. She also saw Tae-Gu let go of his hand.
She saw Tae-Gu, who was walking away and approaching the woman. It was obvious that the man didn't want any problems with the woman who was currently looking angry.
"Is it still lacking? Is that woman still in your heart?" the woman asks Tae-Gu as she brushes away the man's hand that tries to hold hers.
"No. Don't ask like that."
Aurora silently watched the two of them argue. She also considered the steps she should take because she thought the woman had misunderstood her.
She also stared at the woman intently and felt like she had seen it. She remembered the woman who had spoken in the room after stopping the dancing people.
"Jieun, trust me! We're married, and there's only you in my heart," Tae-Gu said to his current wife.
"You should trust him if you don't want to regret losing him in the future," Aurora continued, standing up and looking at Jieun and Tae-Gu.
Aurora took two steps forward until there was right in front of the two of them. She smiled because she could see if there was love in their eyes, and nothing could destroy them except death.
"Aurora, stop! You can make her misunderstand even more!"
"That's a sign that Jieun loves you very much and doesn't want to lose you."
She looked at Jieun and explained everything again. She also said that she had no intention of taking Tae-Gu at all. The man was now a friend to her even though the two of them had been in a relationship.
"Trust me, Jieun. There is only you in his heart."
"Really? What are you saying, right? Is it possible that love can disappear so quickly? Because I feel that if there is still you in his heart."
Aurora holds Jieun's hand and reassures her that Tae-Gu is no longer there. Likewise, she has completely erased her love for the man because she currently considers Tae-Gu her friend only.
She lets go of the woman's hand, and it doesn't take long for Jieun to hold Tae-Gu's hand. They hug, which makes Aurora happy because it doesn't make a big deal for Tae-Gu, who looks like he really loves Jiuen.
"Their love is strong. Will I find my love?" muttered Aurora while smiling at the two of them, who were still hugging until now.
"What else do you believe in them for? Everything is clear. They met behind you, Jieun. Didn't I tell you to destroy the two of them so that no one dares to play with you anymore!"
A man said in an annoyed tone as he walked closer towards Aurora, Jieun and Tae-Gu. He stopped when he was already near the three of them.
