Drake's admission
Silas - POV
I sat opposite Drake after I asked Elena to step out of Jake’s hunting mission. “Why did you support me? Don’t hate me,” I asked.
“I do, but I don’t want Elena to get in trouble,” Drake said calmly.
“What is that you need to speak about?” I asked.
“Confession about my presence and the reason I am telling you is to work alongside you to protect Elena,” I glared at him by degrees; why is he so interested in my mate?
“Why is my mate your concern?” I asked, trying to suppress Ray from surfacing.
“Elena Hart is my promised bride.” His words made me furious, but I had to calm my anger to get this asshole to speak the whole story.
“You are holding well to your wolf; I thought you would blow a punch in my face by now,” Drake smirked at me.
“Don’t push it, Drake, you might get one” Drake sighed at me, but I could see he even seemed pissed at my words.
“Elena’s mother asked my father for protection. I don’t know exactly what she wanted for protection, Elena. Only my father knew, but he is dead to ask the secret.”
“So I assume your father asked Elena’s mother to marry Elena to you.” Drake nodded his head.
“I learned this only three years ago through my father’s letter. I couldn’t solve the riddle until I recently discovered that Elena Hayes is my bride and my father last wishes me to marry her.” Drake explained.
“So you are marrying Elena, knowing she is my mate?” I asked.
“Of course, I am because it attracted my Dragon to Elena. Weren’t you the one trying to reject Elena?” Drake asked. I glared.
“Bastard, it was confidential talk about how the fuck you knew.”
“Do you remember a rogue attacking you in your penthouse? I sent him a coating in my magic to get information on you. When the rogue died, I could still hear you speak to Yuri about rejecting Elena.”
“So you lied, Dragon, see the mate’s bond, but you knew through that Fucking magic cast on a rogue.” I punched Drake’s face, which got him off guard. Next blow, he ducked.
“Are we going to blow throws at each other or work as a team?” Drake asked, stopping my attack. I used an uppercut blow at his face from my other hand, knocking him back.
“You think I will work with a Nemesis? Who wants my mate? Then you’re mistaken.” I hissed. Drake smirked at me.
“Your choice then, and I will ensure that I protect my Elena from you and the Dark Angels,” Drake hissed. “You seem shocked that I learned about the Dark Angel; Silas, you think I will sit by and not protect Elena, then you are wrong.”
“No one touches my mate, and she is only mine. Get that in your head.” I hissed.
“Oh, you chose the wrong path, Silas. You should work with me, but I will ensure I will create hate in Elena’s heart.”
“Drake, Mr. Ford,” Janice voiced from the other side of the door as she frantically knocked before I could kick this bastard’s ass. Drake answered the door.
“What?” Drake asked, annoyed. Janice didn’t mind his attitude, but concern stitched on her face.
“Ms. Hayes is not in her room, and also Bruno. I saw this note left at my door.” Janice said as she handed me the note.
I will find the mystery behind Jake’s disappearance. Please cancel my shoot for two days - Elena's Note.
“Ray Mind-Link Bruno, we need to know where Elena is heading,” I commanded Ray.
“I will find her, Janice. Don’t worry,” I said. She nodded her head. I could see Drake in deep thought as Janice walked away.
“Bruno is unwilling to speak but confirms he is with Elena and in the car.”
“Still relying on your mutt to tell you where your mate is,” Drake smirked.
“At least I know she is safe, unlike you, who doesn’t even know if Elena is safe,” I said. He glared at me.
“Now get the fuck out of my way. There is work to be done.” I pushed past him. I walked into my room. Concentrate on Elena’s scent and use my magic to enhance the power of the sniffing. Finding her among so many scents was challenging, but not impossible.
After a few minutes, I could feel the scent going through the city area. I got in my car and drove off, following her scent. Finally, I could see Elena driving and stopping by the bars and asking some people if she wore a hood and half-face mask to conceal her identity.
I had to keep my distance from her, because how the fuck would I explain to Elena how I located her? She would think I bugged her things to stalk her, but I followed her scent like a creep.
“Why are you not informing Elena to stop this madness and sit in the hotel suite?” Ray hissed.
“Our Mate is stubborn. She won’t listen if I say to sit her ass in the room. Let her interrogate; the better is to let her do her work. If not, she would suspect us and keep asking what was happening. I can’t answer her what she is against.” I explained to Ray.
“I think it’s time to tell her the truth, Silas. Keeping things from her will only put her more in danger.”
“I hope she doesn’t get scared seeing her wolf form. If she did, I don’t know what I would do.” I could feel Ray’s tense at my words. I saw Elena drive towards the Wolf Land route. Why is she turning that way? I could feel the air change and knew it was Rogue in the Vicinity. Elena’s car came to a sudden halt, and so did mine, and I got out of the vehicle. I ran toward Elena in superhuman form and changed into wolf form, seeing the rogues growling at Elena.
