Epilogue
Yuri - POV
“What is the mate hunt?” Elena asked as she came out of the shower, but she still looked exhausted from the morning sickness.
“No, no need to keep a mating hunt ritual." As he brought fruit juice for Elena, Alpha Silas said. Alpha is learning to cook from chefs. It was interesting to see the apron look like a mess with stains as Alpha brought the waffles. Elena smiled at him gratefully.
“I think you’re right, Alpha,” I added with a tired sigh, and sipped hot coffee to keep my sleepy brain active.
“No, I need to know. Yuri, tell me about the mate hunt ritual,” Elena growled, stabbing the waffles furiously.
“Okay, I will tell you.” I kept my coffee down. “Elena, you need to shift into wolf form and race in the woods before Alpha Silas shifts and chases you and marks your wolf, and you will mark his wolf,” I explained. Elena's eyes gleamed with an expression she liked about the mate hunt. I looked at Alpha Silas, who sighed in return.
“We are doing this,” Elena said.
“Are you sure because ___?” Elena glared, stopping Alpha Silas before he finished his sentences.
“Then what do we have to do?” Elena asked.
"After mating, she-wolves of the pack get water in the pot from the moon lake, which is said to be blessed by the moon goddess, and after the shower, we give you a wedding gown, and then you are taken to the aisle by all she-wolves, and this ritual goes for Alpha Silas too. Then Emily officiates the wedding, and instead of the ring exchange in the human world, we do a magic marker on your right wrist, which is the half crescent of the moon. Alpha Silas will have your wolf's print on his right wrist," I explained, and Elena’s eyes looked so excited as I explained the rituals.
Alpha Silas went bantering about the Mate hunt, but after all, Elena won, and Alpha Silas gave in to keeping the ritual and not skipping it. I shook my head with a smile, but I bumped into someone on the way home.
“What the fuck” I growled as I picked up the dress design from the ground, and my other hand helped, and I looked at Mac, who I bumped into.
“Sorry, I'm strolling with my eyes shut,” Mac muttered as his hands rubbed the bridge of his nose with exhaustion.
“No wonder you are walking like a zombie. Go get some rest.” Mac’s eye settled on me for a brief second. “What?” I asserted in response to his stare.
“Nothing. It’s good when you show concern.” I raised my eyebrows at him, and his tone felt off as he walked to the Mansion, leaving me puzzled by the weird action.
“Is Elena ready for shopping?” Emily asked. I nodded my head. I walked to get some rest at home before the wedding.

Mac - POV
I don’t know what is wrong with me, as I feel attracted to Yuri, but we are not mates. The way she cared for other men besides me, and the jealousy I felt when I saw how Yuri looked at Drake yesterday.
“Mac, what is going on?” I broke out of my stupor to find Elena staring at me with curiosity. I just hope she doesn’t read my mind.
“Just work,” I said with a convincing smile, and Elena nodded stoically.
“Did you invite Drake to a wedding?” She asked. I cast a glance at Alpha Silas' face, who didn't like Drake's name from Elena's mouth, but I couldn't study Alpha Silas' stoic expression right now. Elena looked in the direction my eyes were, and she glared at Alpha Silas.
“You still think Drake will___.”
“Elena, that is not what it’s. I personally called Drake to come to our wedding, and he said he couldn’t make it because of some business issues that need his attention.” Alpha Silas added, and Elena gave him a skeptical look for seconds. “If you want to confirm my story, call Drake.”
“No need of that,” Elena said coolly to an annoyed Alpha Silas.
“Alphas, I have taken care of the security. These details of the additional security set up.” I showed it on the phone. Alpha Silas left for some.
“Is Yuri your mate?” Elena’s voice appeared in me, and I turned to stare at her.
“No,” I squealed out. Elena chuckled.
“Sorry, Mac, I didn’t mean to snoop, but when the emotion of anyone gets strong, my mind-reading power latches on to it automatically,” Elena explained. “Mac, your wolf is attracted to Yuri?” she asked. I nodded, as I knew no use in hiding things from her when she already knew about them.
“This is strange, but is your wolf not telling you why?”
“No, my wolf is confused,” I added.
“Let me speak with Emily. Maybe she can put some light on it?”
“Thank you, Elena, for helping me.”
“Always, Mac, thank you for being honest and putting up to my prying power.” Elena chuckled, and I grinned too.

Elena - POV
I could feel jittery as, in an hour, I would take Ford’s surname, be officially wedded to Silas, and be the Luna of the Pack. Silas wants me to keep the Alpha title, but I told him to let me be Luna. When the time comes, I will take the title.
“Are you ready?” Yuri asked as she came in with a beautiful ball gown in light pink and laces.
“Do I look weird?” Yuri asked, uncomfortable with the stare.
“Are you kidding?" You look stunning. You never dress up. "I just saw you dolled up at the Met Gala.” Yuri chuckled.
“I don’t like to doll up,” Yuri added as she took my wedding dress, a fishtail and fitted dress with off shoulders and a white veil, a small tiara, and white shoes.
"I'm taking clothes to the woods." I nodded as I dressed in a thin gown and walked to the woods to begin, hoping to inhale Silas' scent, but it cleverly masked him so I couldn't track him down. The crowd surrounded us and cheered.
“Celeste, we have to mark Silas’s wolf first.” I linked. We shift into my wolf.
“Yes, we will win the mate hunt,” Celeste cheered. Silas and I had a bet if I marked his wolf. First, he would give me a diamond necklace, and if he won, he wanted to take me on our honeymoon, which would be his selected place.
I sprinted to the forest, masking my scent, so it became hard for Silas to track me down. We mostly gallop towards the lake. I know Silas’s favorite place, and I hide, waiting for Silas because I know he will show up. Silas doesn’t. I am aware of this information.
A twig snapped, alerting me to his presence, and I peered out from hiding to see Silas come to a halt at the lake. I chuckled inwardly. Seeing them walk into our trap, we leaped to tackle Silas, wolf him down, and mark.
Silas tackled me to the ground swiftly, as if he knew my attack was coming, and we both had fun brawling for dominance to mark each other. Ray and Celeste stood in stance and canines, showing and marking each other simultaneously.
Howling in happiness as Ray and I walked in a different direction for the other ceremony, I saw a small chair sitting and she-wolves pouring cold water on my naked frame. Yuri brought the towel and then assisted me in putting on my dress; she-wolf did my makeup and hair from the pack.
After seeing myself in the magical mirror, Yuri walked me to the aisle, and I saw him dressed in a tux, and he looked sharp as always. My heart skipped a beat as I noticed Silas's eyes locked on me, and I blushed.
“Silver canines Pack Alpha and Luna, we pray under the full Moon goddess, the one who brought you together in the union of being a mate. Do you take the Alpha Silas’s ford to your mate and husband?” Emily asked.
“I do,” I answered with a radiant smile, feeling loved by my mate.
“Do you take Luna Elena Hayes as your wife?”
“I do,” Silas answered.
“Extend your right hand, Alpha and Luna,” Emily said as she removed the potion. “Alpha Silas and Luna Elena, keep your hand on each other.” We did; she poured the potion and sensed the power of mate bond getting one.
“Now you can kiss each other.”
Silas and I lip-locked each other, sealing our mating in front of the pack. The crowd cheered as the flowers showered on us as we walked down the reception hall.
“The Pack of Silver Canines Pack We are all grateful for your love and support, as well as your presence at our wedding. Also, my mate, we have more good news for our pack. We will soon welcome our first heir to our pack,” Silas said, as the crowd cheered.
“Shall we dance, my lady?” Silas extended his hand, and I placed my hand in his and danced the waltz, and Silas settled on my mine.
“Elena, why do you always make me speechless?”
“What?”
“You are so beautiful that I don’t know how to frame the right words.” He whispered in a husky voice, making my inside melt.
“How about you show me how beautiful I am?” I whispered huskily. Silas’s wicked smirk had turned me on. I averted my gaze to keep my arousal in check as I looked at Yuri and Mac. They were dancing together. I looked closely at Yuri to peer into her thoughts, but she had nothing important, unlike Mac, who felt pulled toward Yuri.
As Silas and Emily were dancing, I stepped from the dance to get some water. Drinking some water, I thought about why Drake didn’t show up, but seeing that image of how Drake’s childhood was, it must have been lonely for him.
Something shiny flickered for a second at Yuri’s head, and I could see a Yuris mate thread line had a black line twirled with two threads. I blinked twice to see whether I was seeing this right or imagining it. What I am seeing looks like a mate curse.
I will need to speak with Yuri and Emily to discuss what I just saw. “El,” he said, glancing at Silas, who came with a relaxed grin as his arms encircled my waist.
“Can we go somewhere private?” I nodded as we both stepped out to get some alone time. We stood in the quiet woods, stargazing through the entire night as our hands locked with each other.
“Silas, you know, when I discovered my illness, I tried my best to make every day the best day of my life, as I had little time on my hands. I had money and stardom, but no family or friends I could entrust my life to. I thought maybe I would perish alone, and then you came along, turning my rainy nights into bright ones. You gave me a family and a reason to believe in love. Thank you so much.” Silas wipes the tears from my eyes as he pulls me into a deep kiss, telling me how much he loves me.
“I wish I could take your past suffering away, but I promise to make your future bright and never let the rainy day ever touch you and our child,” Silas promised as I lay my head on his shoulder.
“Thank you, Silas. I love you.”
“I love you, Mrs. Ford.”
