Elena - POV

I was scrolling through the article about our movie's success. People were crazy fans of our film, The Forbidden Alpha mate. Magazines awarded Drake the handsome man of the year. Drake has too many female followers; is like a commodity on the market. It must be irritating to be the center of attraction for Drake to get a lot of attention, or maybe he must take on the role of a playboy. The car came to a halt. I stepped out of my car.

"Mam, this way." My new secretary, Monica, said as she came rushing to me. I stood puzzled as I picked up on Silas's faint scent.

"Silas, are you here in New York?" I tried to use the mind link to see if I could reach him, but nothing.

"Ms. Hayes," Monica called again.

"Yes. I am coming." I muttered as I walked to the stage. The cameras and reporters were ready with their mics, and some journalists with their notepads.

The interview began as I kept calm and focused on answering the reports and questions from the journalists.

"Ms. Hayes, we heard you are dating. Mr. Silas. Ford, are you planning to marry him?" A female reporter asked. I gazed at and studied the reporter. She was envious of them beneath her professional gaze.

I thought about how to answer her question, and the light flashed as the photographer captured our moments, and they pushed the mic forward for me to answer the question.

"Elena," said a familiar voice, and my eyes widened and I gasped. Silas walked towards me. What is going on? Silas should have informed me about his arrival early at hand.

"Silas.." I gasped as his eyes gleamed with softness. Also, he looked nervous at the same time.

"Elena, when I laid my eyes on you, it was love at first sight, though I didn't know at that time, why my heart skipped a beat at your presence, and when you smiled, it made my day light up with happiness. Elena, as I learned more about you every day, I felt myself falling in love all over again. El, I want you to be at my side forever. Will you hold my hand and be my wife?" Tears rolled down my cheeks as Silas's knees went down and he displayed the diamond ring, which was beautiful.

"A thousand times, yes. Silas. I love you." I whispered as Silas and I lip-locked as we separated from our kiss. Silas put the Ring on my finger. The cheers roared in the crowd, and the camera light snapped pictures.

I swatted his hand as we got off the prying eyes. "Ouch, what is this for?" Silas acted hurt when he was not.

"You should have told me about your arrival. I called you, and you didn't pick up, nor did Emily or Mac. You guys had me worried. I was about to leave New York for Minnesota, in worry." I hissed.

"Congratulations you both," Yuri chimed in, and Mac with a broad grin.

"What with an angry scowl? Are you not marrying Alpha?" Mac squeals out. Yuri jabbed him in the elbow.

"Idiot, didn't you see the live Alpha confessing his love on the News?" Yuri scowled. "

"Oh, yes!" Mac scratched the back of his head with embarrassment.

"It was so touching. ___" Yuri's eyes watered. I embraced her, and she calmed down as I pulled away.

"You guys, I am angry at not answering my calls." I spat out.

"El, I am sorry for having you worry." In the puzzle, Yuri and Mac looked at us. "I wanted to surprise you, Elena, and you are the sharper one to keep things hidden from as you peer into our heads. Even from the phone call, you can hear thoughts." I tried to hide my smirk. Silas always has a way with his words.

"Anyway, how about we go home? Emily is waiting for us." Yuri spoke before I argued with Silas to prove my point, but I held back as we had just gotten engaged. Yuri and Mac left to prepare our travel arrangements.

As we sat in a suite for the time being, "What is wrong, Silas?" Silas was staring out the window as I approached.

"El, you are okay with marriage, right?" I blinked at him abruptly in question.

"Of course I am, Silas. You are not ready for marriage___."

"I want to marry you, but I'm a little worried about Jake's shit show. It was a mess, and it must be terrifying for you___."

"Silas, I would be lying if I said I was not nervous about getting married, but I know one thing: you will keep me safe and die protecting myself, and you will prove your point," I whispered as Silas warmly encircled my frame.

"By the way, this was not the Ring. Diamond is smaller, right?" Silas asked.

"I don't care about Diamonds; I have Diamonds of my own. But what is rare to me is you, Silas." Silas blinked at my words and smiled with happiness. I like that reaction to Silas's features.

"Cheesy," Silas muttered. I kissed him on the cheek. Silas took my hand and kissed the knuckles and the ring finger. "That ring belongs to your mother, Elena. Drake gave it to me, as your mother had added a condition that you should wear this." I looked at the diamond in my hand. This ring belongs to my mother. I felt so happy to have something to remember my mother with. I shut my eyes and tried to connect with the Ring to see if I could glimpse her through my power.

"El," Silas's voice turns into a distanced cry.

The images turned in front of me, and I saw myself through a toddler's eyes. My eyes looked at the beautiful woman who cradled me close to her chest as she called my name. "Elena, my little angel." She cooed at me.

"My apologies for keeping you waiting. Mrs. Gina," I turned my little neck to see the unfamiliar voice, and it looked like the man looked like Drake and I sensed his dragon aura.

"King Flint, Thank you for seeing us." My mother said. Her face looked pale with a grim expression as she explained what went down and how they took my father. Frank goes out when he discovers the truth.

"This girl is a special child. I can sense it." King Flint said as he held me in his arms as his violet irises looked at me, studying me. "So, you want to use Trinity's magic to mask her powers?" He asked, and my mother nodded her head.

"One deal this child needs to marry my son."

"Elena is She-Wolf and not the Dragon, King. This marriage is abnormal." My mother added calmly, but I sensed she didn't like the idea of the deal that the king asked her to comply with.

"I know well, but there are no women Dragon left, and we can't mate humans, and we can marry shifters only, no matter which breeds they come from. I need to look after my son, the future Mrs. Gina, just like you do for your daughter. Not only that, I will keep a close eye on Elena even when you are not around. ," My mother bit her lips, and tears were in her eyes, and she agreed to the deal.

"Elena, Mother can't be around because she has to protect you from bad people, and when I use my power, I will be nearly dead. But mom always loves you, Elena. " She placed me in the crib, and I sensed the magic circle around me and the surrounding chanting. I cried in pain and could feel my mother in tears. King Flint took me away from my mother, and she handed a ring and letter.

King Flint handed me to an orphanage with a letter given to my mother and asked the sister to look after me for my safety. King flint couldn't keep me close to him. That is what I understood—following Vision. I see my mother, who looked so pale as she fought the Hellfire rogues, and she stumbled to Emily. She took her witch clan but passed away as she returned to the human world to take a glimpse of me; I read her thoughts, but she passed away in the forest. Tears pricked my eyes. My mother is suffering.

King Flint sat at the table, and Drake was opposite of him, and I could see how Drake looked like a lifeless little boy eating food, and King Flint was busy working and not paying attention to Drake, who looked pale.

"Elena! " A cry woke me out of slumber as my eyes blinked to see Silas' worried gaze.

"What?" I croaked.

"You passed out suddenly, Elena. Why did you try to connect with the Ring without informing me?" Silas hissed, kissed, and embraced me, and the sudden exhaustion I felt from using power vanished as Silas held me and heard his fast heartbeat.

"Sorry Silas, I forget sometimes I am not human, and remembering images and connecting happened so suddenly."

"El, it's okay." He pulled me from the embrace to look at me. "Let us go home," I nodded as we traveled our way back. Emily greeted us with a warm smile, and the Pack cheered.

"You know we all watched the live proposal, which was touching," she-wolf of the pack said with a happy gleam. I looked at Yuri in surprise because the Pack mostly doesn't use gadgets; they live in traditional ways.

"I arranged projection in the Pack to see how you are lovey-dovey," Yuri teased, and I blushed at her.

We all celebrated as Silas and I retired to bed, tired from dealing with Pack and family. We finally had some alone time. I wander to my mother's sad ending, and it aches so much that I wish I hadn't seen such episodes.

"El, what was the vision you saw?" Silas asked cautiously. His ocean-blue eyes were anxious. I bit my lips and told him what I saw, and tears made my eyes blur.

"Elena, your mother is a superwoman. She did everything to protect you. I respect her." Silas said as he held me in his arms, giving me the comfort I had been missing for two months.

A sudden stir of nausea took over my senses as I pulled away from Silas's embrace and rushed to the bathroom to puke my guts out. I ate dinner. It's time to tell Silas about the surprise I have been hiding from him.

Yuri - POV

I stood at my mother's grave and told her that Alpha Silas and Alpha Elena were tying the knot.

"Mother, I will be busy with the marriage preparations for the Alphas," I said with happiness. I hope to find my mate soon enough. Emily was sitting in the chair as I walked home. I sighed. I will not get my eyes shut, as Emily is excited about the wedding arrangements. Elena had given the green signal to Emily at dinner to handle all the preparation, as Elena was unaware of the wolf marriage, which would be held in two days, as the full moon is the best night of the marriage season for wolves. Of course, I will be there to help.

"Yuri dear," Emily's soft voice reminded me of a mother waiting for me. A scent of coffee reached my nostrils, and Mac entered with three cups of coffee.

"You planned a meeting at my home. I see," I muttered.

"Sorry for barging into your home, but Mac's home was under construction, and your house was the best place." I nodded. Mac and I sipped the coffee, which gave me a brief burning sensation in my throat. We talked about the arrangements and Emily's task invitations' responsibility to Mac, and I had to make sure the decorations, food, and drinks were in good supply for the celebration.

Elena looked pale and looked exhausted a bit, but something else caught my eye as if Elena were hiding something. I saw a box, and she was waiting for everyone as Alpha Silas and Emily joined her, and also, Drake joined the breakfast table with all the delicious meals on the table.

"What is the surprise you are so chirpy about?" Alpha Silas asked.

"Please don't keep us waiting, sweetheart. I have to prepare the ritual for the wedding, and I need your help. We also need to go shopping___. I held Emily's hand to calm her down, and she quickly halted her speech. Elena looked worried at Emily's words.

"El, we are waiting." Alpha Silas added with curiosity. I never saw Alpha react like this before, but as soon as he found his mate, Alpha Silas had to turn into a warm soul like before.

Elena gifted a box to Alpha Silas, and he opened it, and she gave us gifts, too, and I opened it to see tiny shoes; Emily got small baby clothes; Drake got a little toy, and so did Mac.

"What is this?" Drake asked, puzzled. So did everyone at the table except Alpha Silas, whose eyes gleamed with utter happiness? He showed the pregnancy test, and it said positive.

"Elena, this gift is so precious." Alpha Silas said, choking on his emotion as he held Elena and kissed her forehead. We all hugged like a big family from the corner of my eye. I looked at Drake, who looked happy, but something felt off about him.

"Drake," I walked after him as he left, congratulating him.

"What? " He turned with a haughty air like he always does.

"Are you alright?" His eyes blinked for a second as if searching for a mockery behind my question.

"I am fine." By saying that, he left to get his car, and I turned to see Mac staring at me with some emotion that I couldn't decipher.
