Silas - POV
Blood Pack members surround Theo's mansion, grieving their Alpha’s death as I brought Theo’s corpse into a casket. As a sign, I come in peace and not in violence. The Pack, seeing the sign, understood I was not threatening their lives and dropped their fighting stances.
The Pack elders came forwards with poker faces beneath them. I could feel their hate for me flaring and Ray trying to push their wolf into submission to us, but I stopped Ray because they were grieving their dead Alpha.
“What brings you here, Alpha Silas? We know you are not handing over only our Dead Alpha corpse?” The Pack elder asked in a bitter voice.
“I am here to tell the Pack members the truth you didn’t inform them about.” The Pack murmured in the puzzle as they heard my words. The anger flickered on the old man’s face.
“We should have this conversation in private,” the old man asked.
“No, I am here to tell the Pack members that Alpha Theo has found his mate, Janice; this woman harmed my mate and tried to kill her; I took her into custody, and Alpha Theo waged war on our Pack to distract my guards and me so he could break free of his Mate, but she was the Hellfire Rogue who killed Theo. We have a witness to the crime if you want to take this matter to a court of wolf land,” I explained.
“Why did our elders hide such a matter from the pack members?” Someone from the crowd questioned.
“To mislead you all and try to fight against my power if I took over your Pack,” I answered with a smirk, to which the old face and other elders’ members’ faces turned red with anger.
“Alpha, I found Letty. I am taking her to our Pack.” Mac’s mind linked me.
“I will take my leave, but make sure I hear no more rumors about me being the power-hunger asshole and scaring the Pack for your selfish needs,” I warned the blood Pack elders.
“Why do you hold our Beta Luke in your custody?” The old man asked.
“I don’t let any get away from killing my Pack members. You should know this well.” The old man cringed at my stern voice. I entered my Pack to find Elena and Emily's scents were absent. Yuri had informed me about Elena and Emily leaving for the human world.
I walked to find Bruno pacing back and forth. “You are hungry, or why look so agitated?” Ray asked. I poured him water and food.
“Master feels different when she left home,” Bruno said.
“She found her wolf,” Ray answered as Bruno stared at the food with a sad gleam.
“Now she will abandon me because the master found her wolf, won’t she?” Bruno asked in sadness.
“Don’t ask me, mutt. I hope Elena will leave you,” Ray snapped.
“Ray, don’t be harsh?” I hissed.
“I don’t think Elena will leave you, Bruno,” I answered. Bruno was relieved as he ate his food, but was still worried about Elena.

I walked to the penitentiary to interrogate Letty, Jake, and Luke about what they knew about Janice. I wonder why she killed her mate.
“Alpha, we are trying to wake Letty, but she spells that only a caster can break free from sleep,” Yuri explained after the doctor examined Letty, Jake, and Luke, treating their wounds until I tortured them again.
“Did they speak any new information?” I asked Yuri as they slept from antinodes.
“Luke mentioned Theo met Janice three years back. Theo never officially made her Luna, as Janice never wanted to be known in the Pack until they found a way to the power of Paradise. They wanted to take over every pack,” Yuri said.
“I get it now. When Elena explained, the voice in the shrine said the key is Elena, and the Lock and protector is me, Elena, and my power is to save Paradise and our world from getting destroyed by hellfire monsters.” I thought to myself.
“I still don’t understand why Janice would kill Theo. She could have worked with him and come at us with full power.” I asked Yuri.
“This also pesters me, Alpha,” Yuri whispered.
“You go get some rest. I will put someone else in charge to look after these three.” Yuri nodded as I linked the guards to increase the security to the maximum level. As I strolled back, I could pick up my mate’s sweet jasmine scent, but what made me pissed? I could pick Sandwood scent, which meant that the fucking Dragon stepped into my Pack.
I raced to find him with my mate getting out of the car. “Silas,” I came to a halt at Elena’s voice.
“I brought him here. He can help us track Janice down.” Elena said cautiously.
“Elena, you don’t understand. We don’t let any shifters step a foot on our wolf land, and if anyone learns of his presence, they will take us as a threat.”
“I know, Silas, but we need to find Janice,____.”
“Don’t trust me; I can find her. I don’t need a Dragon’s help who has eyes for my mate.” I hissed. Drake sighed at me.
“Alpha, can you please take Dragon to help? We can’t waste time. We need to find Janice. If not, she could come up with something we can’t fight against.” Emily added.
“I don’t need to advise, Emily. I am well aware of the problem we are in,” I hissed.
“What is bothering you so much?” Elena asked and appeared irritated towards me. How should I explain that Drake is an asshole and he can do anything to get close to her though Elena is my mate? I could feel our relationship still on thin ice as Elena held herself from fully giving in to me.
“I am here to help Elena from the threats she is against. I will help Elena because her mother trusted the protection of Dragons more than wolves. You can’t say no to my help as per shifter law. You aware of this?” Drake said calmly, staring at me.
I could see Elena’s eyes had a gleam of sadness. Did she figure out why I was trying to push the drake from the Pack?
“Alpha,” I turned to see the Pack accumulate as they pick up on Dragon’s scent.
“What is going to are we a threat?” Asked Emma and Henry in unison.
“I am here to help Ms. Hayes, the one who has been protected by the former Dragon king and the current King,” Drake answered. I glared at him to shut his fucking mouth.
“Why do we need Dragon’s help? Didn’t Alpha Theo die, so we have no threat from the blood pack?” Emma said.
“We are still under threat. It’s the whole Wolf Land; as the Blood Pack, Luna Janice is Hellfire Rogue,” The murmurs of the Pack grew. I raised my hand to stop them from questioning me about the hellfire rogue. I explained what I learned from Emily and Elena.
“How will the Dragon king help us?” Emma asked.
“I think I will discuss it with your Alpha rather than with you,” Drake answered with a distrustful gaze at her. Emma couldn’t argue with him as the Dragon King never speaks with other Pack members except for Alpha.
After the Pack were dismissed. Drake explained he would need to see the cell where Janice was kept. I let Mac guide Drake to prison as Emily went to her room.
“Elena, can we talk?” She nods her head. “I need to know, Elena, do you fully trust me? I can sense the doubt you have about me.”
“Or maybe I am not the only Silas. You, too, are insecure about our relationship. I can see it when you want to push Drake away, believing I will fall for Drake.” Elena said with annoyance.
“It’s not that, Elena, you don’t know how ass Drake is, and he will try everything to get you.”
“Then you don’t know me, Silas. There are doubts about you. I accept the fact. I won’t leave you or give up on the relationship easily. Are you with me?” I looked at her hazel eyes, lost in her gaze.
“I am with you till my last breath, Elena. I am sorry.” I pulled her into a warm embrace. Feeling Jerk upset Elena. I feel so happy in this woman’s embrace, feeling like I am at home. I never felt this way with Maya; I wonder sometimes.
"Can we go on a date, Elena?" I whispered.
"I thought you wouldn't ask," Elena said as she broke the hug with a smile. Her smile has a way to put me in a better mood and my heart flutters.
