New Luna

Silas - POV



I waited for my in-laws and Letty to speak before I asked questions. Elena's request that I reject her as the mate's request keeps running through my head.



"Alpha," Emma said. I fixed my gaze on her. "Did you hear what we just asked you?" Emma asked, mildly irritated because I had zoned out.



"Repeat; you have my attention."



"Alpha, the Pack, has been waiting for you to have Luna secure the Pack with an heir," Emma remarked warily. "So the Pack members and Elders have agreed that you should accept another she-wolf as a Luna while rejecting your human mate?" A scowl spread across my face at Emma's request.



"Please calm down, Son," Freya said, but Ray appeared, refusing to let me relinquish control.



"Elena is my mate and Luna, so don't you dare to speak about rejecting Elena," Ray said sternly, startling everyone in the room.





"Silas, you want to kill your other mate? Why are you risking a human mate's life? Reject for her good," Terrance yelled back. Ray, who I lost control of, pinned Terrance against the wall and used his strength to choke him.





"Ray, hand the reins back to me. We must heed the advice of our pack. We're not Rogue anymore." With a growl, I remarked.



"No, they intend to keep us apart from Elena for the rest of our lives. No, I will not do that." Ray growled at me.



"I assure you we will not be losing Elena. We need Elena to agree to be our partner as well. Do not think your lashing will help us appease the Elders." Attempting to Persuade Ray, after a few seconds, I regained control.



Terrance, gasping for breath, as Freya makes her way towards him. Letty trembled in her seat. Emma and Henry stare at me, sensing I've regained control of my wolf.



"I understand your apprehension. Who's the Luna she-wolf?" I asked while blocking Ray from getting furious, but I needed to know what others thought to understand what we were opposed to.



"We recommend you take Letty as Luna. You know she is the current Alpha of the Green Forest Pack and an appropriate she-wolf," Henry remarked. Letty flushed at the mention.



"Letty also discovered Maya's journal on the back of her belongings, which I believe you should read," Henry spoke as Letty handed me the diary, which I opened.



The diary details our courtship and marriage, and she specifies that in the event of her untimely demise or my inability to locate a proper match, I am to treat Letty as my Luna. I reread the sentences. I monitor the writing.



I ensured the writing matched Maya's because she had a distinct writing style, and the book confirmed it was Maya's diary.



"Can we speak privately, Letty?" I inquired. We both headed outside.



"Let me be clear, Letty. I can't give up on Elena even though she's human." Letty gazed at me with understanding eyes.



"Tell me, Silas. I'll help you," Letty responded.





"For the time being, you must serve as the Luna to the elderly and remove the burden from my back. Until Elena officially becomes my mate. If you temporarily act as a Luna, I can help your Pack with ten billion dollars." Letty listened to my agreement and gazed off into the horizon before addressing my gaze.





"You want my parents to be in the dark about this because I'm in Silas?" I nodded.





"All right, I'll tell them you've taken me as Luna. I'll attempt to persuade the Pack's elders not to have an official Luna Party." Letty remarked with a smile. I exhaled with relief, having addressed one issue.





The Pack Elder and Terrance and Freya smiled as they exited the Mansion. Letty walked out of the Mansion with a slight smile on her face.



"I apologize. Did I hear correctly? You're going to take Letty as a Luna." Mac inquired, as I noticed Emily following close after.





"It's unnecessary to speak. Let us first go inside." I snarled.



"Alpha, I heard you needed my help."



"I do, Emily. I need you to find Jake. Can you help me with that?" Emily nodded, smirking.



"Alpha, I was waiting for you to say this. I did advanced magic research on the locket. It shows that Jake is in Canada but does not pinpoint his precise position." Through her crystal ball, Emily revealed it.



"What's up?" Yuri inquired as she entered the room. Mac filled in on Emily's details.





"Jake is in Canada, weird," whispered Yuri. "Wait a minute; I learned when dropping Elena. She is leaving for Canada tomorrow. With Drake for the Met Gala!" exclaimed Yuri.



"She's going to the Met Gala with Drake," I mumbled, my fist clenching at the notion of Elena so near to Drake.



"Mac, stop Letty from leaving the Pack and tell her we're heading to the Met Gala." Mac gave me a puzzled look, but he did.



"I don't get what you are trying to point out, Beta Yuri?" Emily inquired.



"Jake, in Canada, maybe he intends to harm Elena, or he is plotting something," Yuri replied when I realized fuck. How in the hell did I not see that coming?



"Yuri, you'll accompany me, and Emily, I'll delegate Pack management to Mac."



"How will you respond to the elder Pack if you suddenly exhibit interest in the Canada Met Gala?" Yuri inquired.



"I'll tell them I wanted to go to the Met Gala with Silas to show his other business partner he had a lady," Letty said. Yuri's and Mac's eyes met with a what the fuck stare.



A maid showed Letty to her guest room, and Emily was also sleeping there. I told Yuri and Mac about Letty and my contract with Letty. Yuri and Mac were both opposed to the concept but agreed to have my back.



No matter how bad things got, I know Yuri and Mac would have had my back. Yuri and Mac never left my side. Those two were my family.

Yuri - POV





I studied the report of the spy I hired to watch Ted's Lawrence and discovered that I had struck gold. My informant learned that paparazzi with a photograph of Ted taking money from Jake in the middle of the night after a few hours of missing news of Jake had been broadcast.



It pleased me since the human police will no longer torture Elena once the photograph of Ted's bribery is broadcast on television. After returning, she heads to the Mansion to inform Alpha of the good news.



I came to a halt when I noticed Alpha looking dismayed as he glanced at the skyline. I attempted to talk to Elena about how she was feeling, but she urged me not to convince her of the significance of the mate bond.



"Alpha, I have completed the job," I whispered.



"Well done, Yuri. Also, I apologize for shouting at you." Alpha's apology stunned me. He never said such words.



"I think I shocked you, but I try to appreciate people close to me."



"Alpha.."





"From now on, Yuri, refer to me as Silas and you to Mac." As I nodded in response to Alpha's remarks, I noticed Mac strolling in. Mac sent an update on flight time and an invitation to the Met Gala, which Alpha's secretary had organized.





Mac and I exited the Mansion. "Yuri, I'm not satisfied with how the Alpha is unhappy."



"Me too." I sighed in frustration at seeing Alpha in this state.



"I'm skeptical of Letty or Freya and Terrance," Mac whispered as I questioned him. "I overheard something odd,"



"What did you hear?"





"Freya and Terrance are telling Letty to stay close to our Alpha for their plan to succeed," Mac said.

Letty - POV



My blood boiled as I overheard Silas pining for a weak fucking human mate. I did everything Silas could profit from trying to be acknowledged by Silas, but he refused a bargain to act as Luna. But I want to be a real one.





I wanted to demolish everything in the room, but I couldn't since it was Silas Mansion. Looking in the mirror, I wiped away my angry tears with my fist. "How come you don't love me, Silas?" I hissed inwardly.



"I know who is preventing us from being together. Elena Hayes, die quickly so Silas and I can be together forever." I had an inward chuckle at the idea.



There was a strange text message on my phone. "I've arrived in Canada. I love you. Later, I'll see you.



"I'll be with Silas in Canada tomorrow, so proceed with the plan with caution; if you screw this up, I won't be able to help you this time."



"You haven't got over Silas yet. If I catch you fucking with him and betraying me, I'll murder you." I didn't respond to Jake, who was also my fate mate. Also, I'm using him as a pawn to get closer to Silas. Once Jake has completed my task, I will murder that motherfucker Jake with a potion that no Dark Angel can withstand.
