Pure Wolf

Elena - POV

"Elena… speak up," Silas said as he placed a hand on my shoulder. I broke out of a stupor.

"Janice…" I whispered.

"I heard it, Elena. It's Janice the account belongs to," Silas said with a scowl as he took her name. "I know it must be shocking for you___."

"These backstabbing people don't surprise me anymore. It's not the first…. I think I have lost count of these backstabbers," I mumbled. A flicker of painful expression marred Silas' face.

"We will capture Janice and bring her to my Pack and put her in dungeons," Silas said. I could see his words were driven by anger. I held his arm to stop him.

"No, we have the upper hand, Silas. We know Janice is working with Jake. Let us use her at the right time." I said.

"We should not wait and torture her to get the information on Jake. I can't stand back and let that motherfucker run loose," Silas said in frustration. He quickly held his emotion back and sighed.

"I am sorry. I shouldn't have raised my voice."

"It's okay, Silas; I get it. You have many things going on," I said. Emily walked in before Silas could speak.

"Alpha, I apologize for barging in like this, but can I tag along with you and Ms. Hayes for tonight's harvest festival?"

"Why? " Silas questioned.

"Ms.Hayes saw the Shrine back there, and I believe it could relate to her power, and if she needs medical terms, I could assist," Emily said. I looked at Silas, who thought for a few seconds before agreeing with her.

"Janice is such a bitch. I never thought she could be the one helping that Jerk." Yuri growled as she learned from me. I sighed as I sipped the coffee to put the headache away.

"When do you plan to confront Janice?" Yuri asked in desperation.

"Yuri, we need to think it through before speaking with Janice. I know she covers this up by saying that she had to pay Dr. Rudolf for keeping my illness quiet and not letting it get to the media. Also, she will put her guard up, which I don't want. If she fucks up, we can get Jake and Janice red-handed." I explained.

"Who cares if she covers up with a lie? I would torture that bitch, and she would sing like a bird. Will have Jake in our clutches," Yuri said. I walked to the shopping back, pulling up the new dress for tonight.

"Yuri, violence is not the only answer to everything." Yuri sighed at me.

"Wolfland works with violence against its threat rather than being diplomatic," Yuri said. I rolled my eyes at her. I had to stop arguing about Yuri's reasons and get dressed for the festival and wear a black dress and red stilettos.

He wore a tuxedo with black and red patterns. Silas and I stood close to each other as if time had frozen, as we were lost in each other's gaze. Silas caressed my cheeks. "I never thought I would be speechless. Here I am. Can't justify your beauty with words." I couldn't help but blush at his compliment, making his handsome face smirk.

"You clean up well," I whispered as he extended his hand.

"I try." He said with a smile as we exited the Manor to see Mac and Emily waiting, as Yuri had to stay back in the Pack to look after them in Silas's absence. We got in Silas' car and drove to Pack's entrance as the guards checked us before letting us inside the Pack.

The Harvest Festival looked so beautiful. It was like the Carnival. "Alpha Silas and Luna, you have arrived," Theo said with a charming smile. This smile reminded me of some of the nefarious people I had to deal with when I started my career. Luckily, they died before they could harm me.

"Luke, prepare a royal banquet," Theo said, and Luke walked away. Theo gave me a tour of the place as Silas followed me along with Mac and Emily. I looked around subtly, hoping to find the magic I felt around the Shrine emerge. Theo walked us to his mansion, and I saw there were two more alphas. One came from Westside Sheldon Rhine, and the other, Randy Shadow, was from the Eastern Region.

The dining room held a subtle, hostile air. I could feel the unpretentious eyes of the Alphas on me, and I could see their subtle eyes of hate on Silas. Emily placed her hand on my lap, and then I understood she was using her tranquil magic on me.

"Alpha Theo, you don't have your mate," I asked, breaking the awkward silence. Theo stared at me with his poker face.

"I am still not lucky to get the first mate, while Silas has already got his second mate," Theo said. Silas glared at him.

"How about other alphas?" I asked, changing the course of the conversation.

"No, mate," Randy said coldly.

"Unlucky yet." Sheldon smiled with a small smile.

I chose the wrong topic because it made the mood sulky and more awkward. "Silas, I will be back," I said before he could stop. I excused myself and turned to the restroom. I saw a small window to escape the Mansion without being a nag.

"Planing to find a shrine." I jumped at Emily's voice, who smiled.

"Of course, Can you help me?" I asked. She nods. As we leave from the window. Emily was old, with wrinkles on her skin, but she was physically fit to jump and walk at a speed matching mine.

We looked around the crowd and halted at the forest area. The power swirls around my back, and Emily gasps at the sudden change in the air; the Shrine emerges again.

"Child, we have little time to step into the Shrine." The wind whispered to me. I followed through and Emily yelled no. The magic dancing around me and the yellow hue surrounding me.

"You are Pure white Wolf, the first she-wolf."

"The witch told me I am a hybrid," I whispered.

"The protector made your seal magic of Wolf, Dragon, and angel blood to protect you and Alpha Silas from power maniacs."

"What do you mean?"

"You are the Key to Paradise, which makes Silas the lock and the protector of the moon goddess' powers." The voice whispered.

"Can you elaborate on what you mean by moon goddess power? Why are Silis and I given such responsibilities?"

"Child, you ask too many questions. We don't have time. I need to unlock the seal so you can meet your wolf." I could say anything. The next thing I knew was the pain that I couldn't tolerate as I screamed.

"You will not be sick anymore, my child. You will be healthy." the voice whispered before my body slumped.

"Elena dear, you will be alright," Emily's voice came through my ears as I saw her blurry figure as she healed me. I felt my energy come slowly, and Emily helped to get me on my knees. I looked around, and the Shrine was nowhere to be seen.

"The shrine disappeared," Emily said, looking at my eyes directed at the spot.

"We need to move back to the Mansion," I whispered. "I can walk myself, Emily." Emily gave me a skeptical look, but she let go of the frame as I steadied my weight on both legs.

"Do I look okay?"

"You do," Emily said as I combed my hair, and we both climbed back through the window, which was a real task as the dress made it difficult to climb back. I managed to and helped Emily.

Before we could go back to the dining hall, I heard a whisper coming from other corridors. Emily and I came to pause, as I didn't know why I wanted to eavesdrop on the murmurs. Emily directed me not, but I still walked to the mumble, which got clear.

"Janice, are you sure we will go back to paradise and get the power of the goddess and kill all the angels who banished us?" Jake asked.
