The scheme unfold
Yuri - POV
My thoughts and heart were in complete disarray. Letty had me in her clutches before I could tell Alpha the truth. Letty played a video clip in which she poisoned my mother's drink.
Letty stated it was a gradual poison, and someone was feeding my mother an antidote until I sealed my lips, but if I crossed the line by articulating to Alpha the truth about Letty's evil scheme, she would kill my mother.
I can't talk to Mac about this issue because that ditz Letty is keeping tabs on him and his family, too. I should know by now that Letty's insane bitch is obsessed with Alpha Silas and would descend to any length to make her schemes succeed. Elena was ignoring Alpha. I'm not too fond of the growing gap between them.
I must seek Witch Emily for aid. She can assist me in getting out of this dilemma. I attempt to find Elena and Alpha as Letty searches for Alpha Silas. Alpha Silas tried to repair his relationship with Elena, and I didn't want Letty to derail his progress.
"So, where are you going, Letty?" I blocked Letty's path.
"What's taking Silas so long? Just where the heck is he?" Letty hissed.
"Talking to someone is important, and you should meddle if you don't want Alpha Silas to get upset with you," I said. Letty shivered at the prospect of Alpha Silas being enraged with her.
"You are correct. I can't afford Silas to be upset with me." Letty muttered. I looked up just in time to see Drake storm furiously down from the balcony. Thankfully, Letty didn't see Drake leave the balcony; otherwise, she would have known Alpha Silas was talking to Elena.
Letty walked to chat with several influential ladies about me as I saw Alpha Silas's sorrowful eyes gazing at me as Alpha's mind, linking to me that Elena was still not ready to accept him as his mate.
How could I forget? Through the mind link, I can talk to Alpha about Letty. I feel like such an idiot for having forgotten that we are, in fact, wolves. I've informed Alpha of Letty's deeds and how she lied to Elena to believe that you are in love with her rather than Elena. Letty poisoned my mother to keep me quiet.
Alpha Silas's eyes flashed with rage for a few seconds after discovering that Letty had betrayed him, but he kept his wolf in check. I knew Alpha Silas would keep his knowledge of the truth from Letty until he caught her in the act.
After finally coming clean, a wave of relief washed over me. Alpha, Silas, and Letty mixed with the crowd, unaware that Alpha now knew about the plot. My only concern is for my mom and Mac in the Pack, who see the peril they and their loved ones are in.
When I turned around, I saw Elena sneaking out of the ball with a concerned expression. I followed Elena to find her seated in the limo. Still, I sensed a strange aura around her, so I got into my car and followed Elena, a mind-linking alpha about Elena traveling to a different route from her hotel room. Magic struck my vehicle. Magic struck my car, and I was too late to avoid it. I couldn't keep the car from veering off the road as I lost control.

Elena - POV
Jake rushed to an isolated spot where no police could follow our vehicle. I expected Jake to come after me for vengeance, but I didn't expect him to abduct me.
"Why are you doing this, Jake?" I attempted to persuade him.
"It would be best if you hadn't worked in Hollywood, Elena; I warned you, but you never listen to anyone. stubborn bitch as always," Jake hissed.
"I don't think you want vengeance because you're obsessed with me," I remarked, and Jake slammed the brakes to a halt on a remote road, turning to gaze at me with rage and astonished at my casual remarks.
"What the fuck are you saying, bitch?" Jake snarled as he dragged me out of the car.
"You want something from me, but I can't quite put my finger on what it is." I snarled. Jake grinned at me.
"I suppose you learned a lot about mystical things, and you're also aware of fate, mate Silas," Jake added.
"I don't know what the heck you're talking about." As I flatly refused to substantiate his claims, he shook his head and smirked.
Jake's gaze changed, and the power in his palm whirled, and I gasped. Jake is not a human being. I instantly grabbed my purse to take out the revolver I'd taken with me in an emergency. I pointed the rifle toward Jake, who gave me a sinister chuckle.
"Don't be ridiculous, Elena; that rifle will not wound me. I thought you were canny, but you're acting, Naïve."
"You still haven't learned, Jake. I never show up unprepared," I smirked.
"What the f*ck were you trying to say?" Jake stared at me, perplexed.
"She's talking about me, jerk." Silas snarled as he smacked Jake's face with such force that Jake staggered back. Drake appears in his car, accompanied by Yuri and Letty, and the older women step out. I had just sent the text to Silas from my hidden phone, so why are these folks here?
Silas battled Jake, who used magic on Silas, who transformed into wolf form, as Yuri and Drake stood beside me like they were guarding me. Drake caught my eye. Why is he not surprised to witness Silas transform into a wolf?
I gazed at Letty, who was watching Jake and Silas fight. "Drake, aren't you taken aback by Silas's transformation?" expressed my thought out loud.
"No, because I'm a dragon shifter," Drake answered dazedly, staring at Jake and Silas' fight.
"Drake, get Elena out of here!" shouted Yuri as I saw Letty transform into a wolf and hurry to fight another wolf attacker. Yuri stopped the intruder's attack, and before I could comprehend, I saw Drake's enormous wings and scale flash on his neck; his eyes turned deep purple. It appeared he had transformed into a half-dragon, and Drake held my frame and soared up in the air.
"Wait, what the fuck?" I cried when the night breeze brushed over my skin, and I saw a city scraper from above.
"People can see flying like this right now."
"No, they can't see us because we have invisible magic," Drake answered sternly; it felt as if his dragon had just spoken to me.

Letty - POV
I have to make sure that I murder Jake. If Silas arrests Jake, he might confess that I helped him get away from the Pack and that I knew he had assaulted Elena.
I try to knock down the idiot rogue in time to murder Jake with the serum coated in my claws. Fortunately, the rogue knocked the witch asleep, so now is my time to take down Jake without raising suspicions about the magic potion I am using. I only need to slash Jake's; the elixir will get in his blood streams, killing him.
Silas thwarted my attempts to approach Jake. I couldn't understand why Silas wouldn't allow me to get near Jake. However, when I observed Silas trying to kill Jake, my wolf attacked Silas, who dodged the attack, and Jake spotted an opportunity to escape using magic, blinding us.
Silas transformed into human form, and his fierce eyes swept over me as I stood in my human form. "What made you intervene?"
"I wanted to assist you in apprehending Jake so you could interrogate him and discover more about his schemes."
"I should have murdered Jake, but he got away because of you." Silas snarled loudly. His statements infuriated me even more.
"Don't worry, Silas; I'll get it for you if you want Jake's head. This time, I will not let my wolf get in the way." I muttered to myself.
"Alpha, we have to travel to the hotel to meet Elena. Drake explained," She needs to speak with us." Yuri interrupted Silas's speech, allowing me to escape Silas' wrathful glare.
"Letty, you go with Emily to the hotel suite," Silas stated. Why are you avoiding me? Did he figure out my scheme, or did Yuri cross me? No, Yuri would never do such a thing.
"Allow me to accompany you, Silas. I can help you."
"I will call you to assist us later, but right now, my mate needs me, and you following me won't help me," Silas remarked, seeing them leave me, trying not to let my emotions show and masking as much as I could. I took Elena's car, driving the old witch back to the room.
When I entered my room, I saw Jake there already, and I couldn't help but laugh at how, fortunately, things had turned out for me. Jake, your time has ended.
