Elena - POV
Opening my heavy eyelids and looking around, I was back in my guest room. I felt like a truck ran over me. I couldn’t move my body.I tried to sit up. I felt another hand helping my frame to sit upright. The other hand helping is Silas, who rushed to get me water. I took the glass and took a close peek at Silas, and I could see a dark circle under his eyes. Even those dark circles looked good on him. I feel lucky to have a damn handsome boyfriend by my side. But why does he look so exhausted?
“You look tired.” Though I drank water, my voice came off hoarse.
“Thank God you are fine, Elena.” I heard another voice belonging to Drake. His face looked similar to Silas’s expression and reflected apprehension. I hear more frantic footsteps, and I see Yuri, Mac, and Emily walk in with the same face.
“What is going on?” I asked, feeling worried, seeing them look at me with such an expression.
“You don’t remember what happened to you?” Emily asked. I try to jog my head about what happened to me last, and nothing surfaces. Just talking to Cindy on the phone and later came off blank. I told them what I had recollected last. They exchanged gazes among themselves.
"Enough with the suspense. Can you say what is wrong, Silas?”
“All of you step out,” Silas said firmly, and everyone left except for Drake, who stood staring at me.
“Drake, please,” I asked him because I could see the tension wave coming from Silas, who was just seconds from throwing a blow at Drake.
“Fine, I need to speak alone when you are done speaking to this jerk,” Drake added. Silas held him by the collar in anger.
“Silas, please don't." I had to ask Silas to calm down. Hearing my voice, he let go of Drake. I sighed.
“Son of a bitch.” Silas hissed. “El, how are you feeling?” Silas sat beside me, taking my hand in his and caressing it with affection.
“My body feels numb,” I whispered. His hands caressed my cheeks.
“Elena, you were unconscious for three months. You do not know how worried I was about you these past three months,” Silas said. I gasped when I realized I had been comatose for so long.
“I am sorry it’s because of me, Elena. Your body is still weak. We can’t shift wolves for a year, and so if you do, you will end up weaker or might lose me." Celeste added.
“I ’don’t understand. I am not ill anymore as those whispers in the shrine told me,” I asked.
"Elena, the seal has suppressed my abilities in your body for a long time. Once I was freed from the seal, I connected with my half-strength, so you were doing fine, but when I tried to use my whole strength, your body resisted my power because seal energy still lingered around and pushed my power back thinking its threat to you," Celeste explained.
“I think Celeste explained to you,” Silas asked. I nodded my head in terror, learning this information. “Celeste informed Ray about what was going on when he woke up, and Ray and I were restless and kept trying harder to connect with your wolf___” Silas kissed my lips, divulging to me I am his air and he can’t live without my existence. I pant hard after we separate from our passionate kiss.
“Silas, I am doing fine. Rest please, you look like a Zombie,” I said with a fake pout, his lips curled up, putting me at ease. I can’t stand seeing his gloomy look and sad gaze. It upsets me.
“I am fine, Elena. You need to heal first, so I will stay by your side until you can move easily.” He said with the beam. Damn, I can’t say no to such a charming smile that makes me agree with his words. A week passed by as Silas took care of me. He fed me food, and Yuri helped if I needed a change of clothes. Emily came by to heal me. She wanted to speak to me. During those three months, I wanted to know what was going on in the Pack. I asked Yuri to find me a witches’ clan where Emily worked; I asked Yuri that she should work discreetly. Not even Silas should know the request I asked of her; though Yuri looked at me so many questions to ask why I was asking this from her, she couldn’t speak because Silas was around.
“Silas, I am fine. You can get your work done. I will get some work done at the end.” I said with a smile as Silas looked at me from head to toe and scanned me as if I was not lying to him.
“Alpha, Ms. Hayes is doing fine now,” Emily added as she got me weird medicines that tasted like shit that killed my taste buds for an entire week. I cringed as she handed me the pills. From the corner of my eye, I could see Silas hiding his laughing, seeing how my face turned weird as I swallowed the tablets.

The next morning, I called Cindy, and she had been worried about my health as Drake kept updating her about my health. I asked the team to push our movie launch further because I felt the Danger was closing on us, and we were unprepared for it, and I didn’t want any distractions while staying in Wolf Land.
Silas has been training me for an advanced level of fighting stance, the wolf punch, which needs a little wolf power on your fist, and you knock someone out like a light. I took a drink from the water bottle but spilled water on myself as I got distracted. Seeing Silas’ biceps flexed as he wiped the sweat from his forehead, I could see him walk towards me with a smirk.
“Damn, you tease,” I grunted, hiding my hot cheeks.
“You are the one to say, if you like to read my lewd thoughts, I wonder what your thoughts are when you see me. Does it turn you on?” I scowled at him to save myself from getting more embarrassed.
“So, you are not attracted to me then? Let’s test, shall we?” I stepped back as he stepped closer to me with lustful ocean eyes staring at me. I could feel my heart flutter at his gaze. His large fingers traced my abdomen, and I gasped. He smirked at my reaction, and my skin broke into goosebumps. I could feel my arousal, and he smirked at me.
“I want you.” Silas stopped inches from me, staring at my face, and I could see its happy reflection. “Why are you staring at me? Kiss me already,” I commanded.
“I want to swallow you up, Elena, but first, I need your health to be good. That is my priority.” I could feel his sincerity and see how hard it was for him to hold back. I have always noticed Silas always tries to fulfill my wish and protect me with everything I could sense, so emotions swirl within me, but one feeling I know was clear to me: I am in love with him all over again.
“Why are you crying, Elena? I can’t stand it?” He wiped my tears. Staring at my face.
“I love you, Idiot, and I am not crying.”
“I am sorry for saying no to Sex Elena, but I put your body under stress and___” I chuckled at his words. God, I like his flustered reactions.
“Idiot, these tears are happy ones. I never received such care and protectiveness from anyone, so__” I always tried to find love outside to fill the emptiness I felt about being alone. Still, I always land in relationships with assholes who fake everything to get me in bed with them.
“You deserve much more, El.” He pulled me into his embrace as he saw me tearing up.

Yuri had called me to her place to give me the location of the witches. After taking a shower, clean of all the gym sweat. I rushed to Yuri’s place and entered her new home looked empty. She only had two chairs.
“Will you tell me what the secret is?” I sighed at her curious eyes, which reminded me of a child’s eyes gleaming when they see something new.
“Tell you soon, Yuri; I need to know what is going on in the Pack as Silas speaks little about it, thinking I would come under stress and faint.”
“Elena, you have a clue what state Alpha was in. He abandoned the entire pack of duties and sat next to your bed. He didn’t touch food or water for four days straight. I had to push him out of the room and knock some sense. Alpha had the Déjà vu of his first mate’s death. He thought he would lose you.” Learning this upset me that Silas had to suffer such a thing.
“What about the Pack? How did they react to this?” I asked.
“You seriously sound like Luna worried about needed Pack members.” Yuri smiled. “Well, they were people understanding the Alpha needed to look after his Luna, but some had opinions___” Yuri paused.
“What? Tell me, Yuri.”
“The Blood Pack thinks you are weak, Luna, who can’t be helpful… At Alpha Silas’ side.” Yuri spoke with mixed emotions, frustration, and sadness. “Alpha Silas has put pack members in dungeons who spoke ill about you. I enjoyed punching those assholes who carelessly opened their mouths.”
“Yuri…”
“Fine, I will stop the violent talk.” I sighed at her. “But I forgot to mention teen she-wolves have been missing from the Blood Pack. No one knows how they vanish.”
