Alpha of the Blood Pack
Elena - POV
Drake mentioned Janice was hiding in the Hellfire realm, which was also the place of the monster’s home. It will be hard for us to get to Janice and kill her in Hellfire, as we don’t know where exactly the realm is located. However, Silas didn’t like Drake staying in our Pack to find the location of Hellfire for us.
I sat for some time thinking about my reason for giving Emily a half-truth about the Pack traitor Emma and not mentioning Henry’s name to Emily just yet. I need to see what Emily does with the information about Emma. After all, Emma is not a good woman. She is a sinner who helps Henry to execute Silas.
My mind swirled with Emily’s narrative of her life. I wanted to trust Emily, but I still couldn’t. I plan to verify Emily’s story by going to the witch clan before disclosing it to Silas. I can’t ignite a light of hope in Silas that his mother is alive, and if it turns into a lie, it will be more painful for Silas, though I know he survives through it. But I wish no more suffering for him.
“I can help you reach them,” Celeste replied.
“How so?”
“Once they learn the first she-wolf is awake, they will come to pay a visit to you soon, but I will be on alert. These witches always visit in disguise.” Celeste added.
I dressed up in a red dress as Silas had promised to show me around the wolf land city, which surprised me to hear the wolf land has a city as well because the Silver canine pack looked like a town. I walked downstairs to look at Silas’ casual outfit, the white t-shirt, and his black jeans. His ocean blue stared at me as his lips curled up with serenity.
“My Heart melts at his warm stares and smile,” I grumble internally, hearing a chuckle from my wolf Celeste.
“Master.” I heard a voice. As I looked, its Burno wagging his tail.
“Oh my god, I can hear Bruno’s voice too,” I asked Silas in bewilderment. He nods his head.
“How should I get back to him?” I asked. Silas asked me to concentrate on picturing the subject I wanted to transmit, and my wolf would convey the word. I close my eyes and picture Bruno.
“I am sorry, Bruno, for not having enough time to spend with you these days. I will make up to you.” Bruno looked at me with his doe eyes.
“You won’t abandon me, Master,” Bruno asked.
“Of course not, Bruno. Though my wolf doesn’t like dogs, I love you like my child.” I mind link. Bruno licked my face with happiness. Celeste growled in my head. I ignored her.
“Be a good boy, Bruno. Mum will be back soon.” Bruno smiled happily, wagging his tail.

Silas and I strolled toward the city. The frigid wind brushed my skin, but somehow I didn’t feel brisk, as I felt a heatwave spreading in my body because Silas’ hand engulfed me in the warmth.
We stepped into the busy street. It felt like a human world, but as people noticed our presence, they bowed at us in respect. The feeling simmering within me came from pressure because the respect comes from so much responsibility for their lives to be kept safe by their Alpha and Luna.
“Elena, you looked troubled. Is everything okay?” Silas stopped looking at me, concerned.
“Nothing,” I smiled. Silas gave me a skeptical look, but let it slide. We entered the Fancy looking restaurant with a rooftop with the moonlight in the view and shining stars on the night skyline. The candles and rose bouquet and the live music playing in the background. I never took Silas to be the romantic kind.
“Do you like it? If you don’t, I can arrange anything you want.” Silas asked, looking flustered. I couldn’t help but chuckle at his reaction. “It’s perfect. I never pegged you for a romantic one,” I whispered. He rolled his eyes.
“Elena, I am ready to open up to you about what I am and my first mate. I want you to know all about me.” I paused because I knew the truth about Maya, but I must keep it a secret, as per Emily’s request. Silas was not feeling it easy to open up to me.
“You don’t have to force yourself to speak about your past yet. I can wait for___.”
“I want to tell you about it. I don’t need to keep things from my mate anymore. These memories of my childhood are nightmares. To be honest. I stayed with an old granny. She told me she found me in the middle of the forest injured and brought me home out of sympathy, as I was an infant and could have died. I was five years old, Granny died, and Granny had debts, and a debt collector sold the house to recover the money. They kicked me out of her home to be on the streets. I stayed hungry for days initially, not knowing how to hunt until I met my wolf, Ray. Ray helped me to hunt and feed small animals. I started working as a mercenary alongside the Rogue wolves when I turned fourteen. When I fought for the Alpha title, I won, and many Pureblood Alphas loathed me, and you could have seen Rany and Blake’s hatred for me, and the pack elders are on the list too, but they don’t show it,” Silas explained. I felt so sad about Silas’ tough childhood. I could feel the loneliness as we both knew what it was to be without a parent’s love and care.
“What would you do if you met your mother or dad someday?” He scoffed at the ridiculous question.
“I don’t know. How will I react to my parents? I won’t forgive them for abandoning me.” He whispered.
“So you still have feelings for Maya?” I asked, feeling a sour taste in my mouth as I brought up Maya’s name.
“I still care for Maya, Elena. I won’t lie. It was even hard to accept you as my mate. I could not get over my dead mate. Not knowing who killed her made me___” Silas sighed with frustration. I felt an ache at his honesty, but I liked it at the same that Silas opened up to me. I felt a warm hand caressing my cheeks as I looked at Silas, staring at me.
“Jealous,” I glared at him. He smirked at my reaction. “Elena, when I asked you to be my mate, I meant it; I fell for you, Elena; I tried so hard not to.” Silas's honesty had me blushing at it.
“Enough of the talk. How about a Dance?” I smiled as I placed my hand on his. The slow dance and the night air brushed my skin as I twirled around him. His hand on my waist held me so tight against his frame; my body felt a delicious shudder at his soft touches at the back of my hand, so sensual.
“Are you teasing me?” My lips touched his earlobe. I hear his sharp breath at my teasing. I stepped away from Silas to get myself water. Silas pulled close to his frame. I gasped at the sudden movement.
“I can help you quench the thirst, El” His velvety voice made me gulp at the tension growing between us.
“Silas.”
“Damn, even hearing my name from your mouth turns me on.” I could feel his bulge against my pelvis. My skin broke into goosebumps with excitement at the sensual atmosphere. Silas’s eyes looked at me with carnal heat as his firm lips were closing in the distance. To taste my lips, I could sense my hunger to savor Silas.
“Alpha Silas and Elena, we have a problem. The Blood Pack elders want to meet you both,” Yuri’s voice broke the sensual spell in our heads.
“Ugh..” Silas growled in irritation. “I can’t spend my time with my mate in peace.” He mumbled.
“You know, Yuri won’t disturb us until necessary,” I added. Silas looked at me, tinged with an annoyed gaze, as I sided with Yuri. Silas sighed out loud, knowing I was right.
Silas and I walked back to the Pack. I could see Silas was not happy because our date night was ruined. He kept apologizing until I had to kiss him to shut his mouth and stop feeling guilty for something he was not responsible for in the unknown situation, asking for our presence.
We stood in front of the Blood Pack of elders, who looked at us with a gleam of hope, as if they were in some despair.
“Alpha Silas, please become the Alpha of our Blood Pack and save our Pack from Hellfire Monsters and Rogue wolves’ attacks.” The older man said with a plea, joining his hands as the rest of the elders bowed their heads to us. I look at Silas, who looks at them with thought.
“Elena, if you listen to my thoughts, please don’t let Silas be their Alpha of the Blood Pack; it’s a trap created by Janice and Theo.” I looked at Emily, reading her thoughts, leading me in confusion. Isn’t she the one to confirm Theo’s death, and what more danger awaits us?
"I will become the Alpha of your Pack." I had no chance to stop Silas before he committed his words. I looked at Emily, who looked at me with concern.
