Letty's Trial

Silas - POV



"I should get a trial to speak my account," Letty yelled in a piercing scream as the guards dragged her. Freya cried at a distance as Terrance walked up to me.



"You promised us you wouldn't kill Letty and give her a fair trial."



"I changed my mind."



"You are acting rogue, not Alpha," Terrance growled, as I walked to the dungeon's room.



"Silas, stop." Elena's voice stopped me from taking a swing at Terrance. "Can I talk to you for a second?" Elena looked straight into my eyes like a plea. Elena has power over me. I nodded and followed, directing the guard to monitor Terrance and Freya.



"Elena, make it quick." I stopped seeing her biting lips and her features pale. "Are you okay?" she nodded her head.



"Uh…. Silas, I know it's not my place to get into your business…. But I ask you to speak with Letty first… Because I feel Letty could be right. Jake is an asshole and a mastermind." Her gaze held a fearful one; Seeing her anguish hurts me to see Elena suffer.



"Elena, I will kill Jake with the same pain he caused you. Trust me, I won't let you go through anything." Elena's eyes looked startled, searching my face to see whether what I said was genuine. After a few seconds passed, a gleam of relief appeared.



"Alpha." The guard paused, seeing my annoyed glare at him.



"What?"



"Beta Yuri and Omega Mac are waiting for you in the dungeons." I nodded my head as the guard left us alone.



"Please consider listening to Letty first before you…." Elena paused.



"I will, Elena. How about you rest up?" Elena looked for seconds before nodding and leaving. I made sure soldiers shielded the Mansion. I can't trust the Pack elders, who I would question after the Letty Trials.



"I am just Pawn, believe me," Letty screamed as Yuri slapped her across Letty's face.



"Bitch, you came discreetly to our Pack, knocked Mac unconscious, and killed our parents to set an example; you forget we had magic eyes looking at the Pack all the time, and we saw the footage and saw you stabbing our loved one to death."



"That fucker Jake shape-shifted himself and killed to frame me," Letty said.



"Why would Jake frame you, Letty? What kind of relationship do you have with Jake that he can even erase you?" Letty looked at me with surprise, and her eyes held fear because of my magic. Ray peered through my eyes, threatening her wolf and her to speak up.



"I… I… mean…. Jake…. I…..” Letty stutter.



"Stop stuttering, bitch; I will show no mercy, but put your wolf to rest forever." Letty recoiled at my grunt.





"He is my mate."



"So you attacked me to save your mate back then? Huh," I hissed. She nods her head.



"Tell me what you know. If you speak the truth, I will let you live."



"What is the catch, Silas? You are a ruthless Alpha who can change his words anytime."



"Then you should not have fucking messed with me."



"I never meant to harm anyone in Pack. I wanted you as my mate. You were blind in love with my sister, but I loved you. The words out of her mouth shook me with surprise. Though Yuri had told me why Letty acted, because she wanted me, I thought Letty wanted to be with me for my name, power, and money.



"Could it be possible, Alpha, she even killed her sister to be the Luna of Pack?" Mac questioned Letty, eyes widened in surprise at Mac's acquisition.



"Don't accuse me of a crime I haven't committed, Mac." She growled.



"Now, when I recall, you came to meet Maya the day of the murder. Did you take Jake's help to kill my mate?" I growled, choking her



"No, I swear on my parents and my wolf. I didn't kill my sister," Letty said, squeaking.



"Your words are not trustworthy, Letty. Give me one good reason to keep you alive: I see none now."



"Jake is not my fated mate. He used a spell on my wolf to help him with his plan. I learned this right after he had come to my room, and he told me he would kill the targets and frame me. I was above to kill him. But someone knocked me out, and I found myself in my pack territory. I couldn't come to you with the truth. I was scared, and I am not lying to you." Letty cried in pain as I let her go because, somewhere, I could find a grain of truth. I needed that bastard Jake, and Letty will help me this time.



"Get Emily Mac."



"Are you letting this wench live, Alpha Silas?" Yuri yelled in grief. I know it's hard on her, but I can use Letty as a tool, but Yuri cannot see through the plan. Yuri stomped out of the room.

Elena - POV



I try not to think of those blue eyes of a gleam of love reflecting on me, and I couldn't help but stare at his oceanic eyes; I feel like I am drowning in tender affections, which I know well know love.



I sat next to the window. I saw Yuri's teary eyes as she was walking to her home. "Yuri," I called out. She looked up, and I gasped. Seeing Yuri's always cheerful face turning into a tear-stained one was heartbreaking. I rushed down to catch up with her as she walked home.



"Yuri, what is going on?" I walked into her home, which was left open.





"Alpha Silas… He is letting Letty live and not kill her for sin. I am feeling anger; why?" Yuri growled with fresh tears rolling down her cheeks.





"Yuri, from what I know, Silas won’t forgive the traitor. He must be conspiring about something."



"How do you know, Alpha Silas? Act the way you describe. You have met him a few times and are already taking his side." Yuri hissed. I should sensitively put things in and not be direct with my words.



"You are right; I don't, Silas, that well. I saw how sad he was when he heard the news. He grieves, and tells me how much you and Mac mean to him, and so is your family." Yuri's eyes, sore eyes, changed with sadness.



"Then why is Alpha Silas not putting Letty to death? Whenever I see Letty, it reminds me of how weak I am, not even to protect my mother from that wench's hand. I should have known." Yuri cried as I held her in my embrace as she kept on yelling and cursing Letty as she finally passed out from crying.



I put on a blanket as she sleeps on the couch. I sat next to Yuri because she needed me. Janice texted me asking to schedule the shoot and also reminding me my appointment would be two days. I sat at the window and what caught my eye was Dr. Rudolf walked to the infirmary. What the fuck is he doing here? Don't tell me Dr. Rudolf is a wolf shifter. Then how come he treated a human, or what if he revealed to Silas my deteriorating health? I have to question him.
