Chapter 10

Glammaly estate.
Ethan Zack arrived at the company and went to Carlos Zack office, Carlos was standing and staring out of the big French window.
Ethan looked at his grandson who seems so lost. "Carlos." He called out.
Carlos was still facing the window without turning to see who it was. "Chairman Zack, I heard you come in."
He then turned to face him. "About the production, I'm still on it, it's going smoothly." He told him.
Ethan looked at Carlos, he was a little thin now and looks so dejected. "Carlos come, have a seat." He told him to feel pity for his son.
Carlos obediently sat down, Felicity brought coffee for them and left the office. "Everything is ready and there won't be any mistake this time in the production." Carlos continues.
Ethan felt pity for his grandson. "Carlos, I know you are capable of that. But you're losing yourself. You are not looking bright." Ethan told him.
Carlos scoffed and looked at him with his eyes darkened. "Marrying that girl, I don't even know nor want to think about, should I be happy?" He asked.
"Carlos I know you don't want to do this but you have no other option," Ethan told him with a deep voice.
Carlos looked at his grandfather with an expressionless face. "I'm going to do it, when the date is fixed, I'll do it." He told him
Ethan sipped his coffee gently. "We have met her parents already." He told Carlos who looked at him. "They understand, but she lashed out. I want you to meet her." He told him.
"Okay," Carlos answered without any expression.
Ethan looked at him, he knew how he must be feeling right now but this was the only way, he has to do this no matter what. "I'll be on my way now."
He stood up and Carlos walked him to the door. After he left Felicity knocked on the door and let herself in after being ordered in. "Sir. You would be meeting with the board of directors by ten o'clock this morning, at noon you would be leaving to see the site at the commercial centre. You have an appointment with the New Zealand director to plan the Saturday's event by two o'clock noon." She finished.
"Okay. Make my evening schedule free. I have something to attend to." He told her.
"Okay, sir."
"You can leave now." She left and he walked back to the French window with great thoughts.
...
Abbey Amy Kelsey's best friend came to her house to see her after hearing the news. "Kelsey."
"Abbey.." Kelsey hugged her friend and tears filled her eyes.
"I heard the news," Abbey said.
"It's too cruel Abbey. I don't believe Carlos will do that to me." She sobs.
Abbey looked at her crying friend, knowing the pain she must be going through.
They had been friends since childhood and Kelsey had always told her about Carlos and she knew how they both feel about each other.
Abbey held her friend's hand. "Kelsey, Carlos loves you, he's going into this marriage to save his company and the risk of failing," Abbey told her.
Abbey knew everything, once she saw the news, she had believed that was his only reason. "He would never love a stranger, he would never change the way he looks or feels about you. Cheer up and fight for your man." Abbey encouraged her.
Kelsey looked at her adorable friend who always stands by her side, her face was so pale. "There's no more fighting to do Abbey, he would be married soon, there's no fighting to do anymore." Kelsey cried uncontrollably.
Abbey felt so sorry for Kelsey. This was the first time her friend had been this sad. "You're a mess Kelsey...come on let see how I can cheer you up. Go and get dressed." She told her.
She have to make her friend happy, she has to bring back that cheerful Kelsey.
Kelsey shook her head. "I don't feel like going anywhere." She told her.
"Come on Kelsey. There's no way I'm leaving you like this." She took her hand and lead her to her room in other for her to get dressed.
Triffany went out in search of a job with Allison accompanying her, she was not ready to let everything that was happening make her feel down.
Allison looked at her cousin. "Triffany give it a rest." She told her, they have been moving from place to place searching for a job for her.
Triffany looked at Allison with a determined eye. "Allison no. If I am rich, I would have to defend myself by living my own life and also stop those careless rumours about being in a relationship with someone I barely know."
Triffany looked ahead. "I'm going to start from little until I gain what I want." She told her.
Allison looked at her worried. "The marriage has already gone public." She told her.
Triffany turned to Allison with a furrowed brow. "I don't care, I'm going to look for a way to stop it. I have to find a job first." She told her.
"There no more talking to do then, I can't stop you," Allison said with a sigh, she knows how stubborn Triffany was and nothing can make her stop what she put her mind into.
"Good thing you know when to stop." She walked ahead and spot a sign for a job invite. She ran to it with Allison behind.
Allison saw the sign and looked at Triffany with her brow raised. "Don't tell me you want to do this job." She told her.
Triffany smiled. "Delivery job, this would be a better step to make money than sitting at home," Triffany told her
"Gosh Triffany!" Allison looked at her unbelievably.
"Save that looks, Allison." Triffany took the sheet and walked into the restaurant while Allison waits outside for her.
Triffany saw a lady and went over to her. "Hello, Miss."
The lady looked at her. "Yes, how may I help you?" She asked.
"I saw this outside and I'm interested." Triffany showed her the Paper.
"Oh...thank goodness, we've been short-handed at delivery." The lady smiled at her.
Triffany smiled and looked at her expectantly. "Then can I start immediately?" She asked.
"Of course." The lady told her.
Triffany happily thanked her and carried the empty dishes left by some customers to the kitchen.
She came out to the call of the owner who handed her some lunch boxes to deliver to people who called and placed their orders.
Triffany went outside to put them in the delivery bike and drive off when she saw Allison still waiting for her. "Allison you're still here," Triffany asked surprised to see her there.
Allison looked at Triffany. "Did you forget you asked me to wait out here for you?" Allison asked her.
Triffany smiled apologetically. "Kinda...I'm sorry. I've got the job and I'm running some delivery right now." She told her. "See you later." Triffany got into the motorbike and rides off.
Allison watched her go and felt sad that she forgot her. "Aish.. sometimes I wonder if I'm her cousin. I'm so invisible to her." She pouts.
