Chapter 31

Carlos Zack arrived home to his mansion, his friends were still waiting for him. "You guys are still here." He sits on a chair next to them, he loosened his tie.
"We called you, but you weren't taking your calls. What was wrong?" Garrett asked him.
A maid brought another glass and white wine for Carlos, he took a sip and leans back on his chair. "I was with Kelsey."
"You are a married man now, Carlos," Eric told him, arching his brow.
"And I don't love her." Carlos snapped. "Whereas she is okay with me meeting Kelsey."
"How sure are you?" Blake asked. Gabby walk came out of her room upstairs and watched them without their notice.
"Don't ask me." Carlos lifts his glass to his lips.
"You're back." Gabby came downstairs with her arms crossed.
She sat down and crossed her legs. "Next time, please pick your friends calls and tell them when you will be at home or when you're at home, cause I can't bear acting nice to them and they don't acknowledge my efforts."
Carlos looked at his friends. "What did you all do to my kid sister?" He asked them with amusement.
"We told her the truth," Eric muttered and Gabby rolled her eyes.
"Carlos you should treat Triffany nice." Garrett brought the topic back to Triffany and Carlos frowned.
"What's your problem man!" He snapped. "If you want her then you can fucken have her!" He raised his voice.
Carlos runs his hands through his hair and stands up. "Stop mentioning that name when you are with me." He walked upstairs to his room in anger.
"He hates her," Eric muttered.
"I didn't say anything bad." Garrett looks at the others.
"Hey, guys," Gabby called them and they all looked at her, she was smiling and they were puzzled.
"Not that devilish smile again." Blake frowned.
Gabby raised her brow, still with a smiling face. "I have a plan."
Garrett rolled his eyes and adjusted on his chair. "I hate your plans."
"Me too," Eric added.
"Hear me out first." She said seriously and they sat up. "Let's make Carlos jealous."
Blake scoffed and shook his head. "It won't ever work, he doesn't get jealous."
"All men get jealous," Gabby said seriously.
"Not Carlos." Eric exhaled softly.
Gabby leans back on her chair, her eyes seriously staring at all of them. "Let's give them space, alone, together."
"That's your plan?' Garrett rolled his eyes.
"My plan b."
"That doesn't make sense."
"It does, you all shouldn't come around and I will relieve the maid on their duties, then I will go to my Villa and leave them alone," Gabby explain her plan.
"I hate your plans!" Blake sighed.
"Me too," Eric added.
"It makes sense." Gabby tries to convince them.
"No, it doesn't." Garrett stood up and looked at Gabby who was now frowning. "Gabby you should study your book instead."
"Am in support of what he said," Blake said.
"We are leaving now." They all got up.
"But it will work out." Gabby pout.
"Goodbye, Gabby." They told her and left without any other words.
Gabby leans on her chair, to her, she felt this was the best plan. Now she wonders where Triffany went to. It would be better if she was here now.
...
Allison went into her room to wake Triffany up. Triffany gently opened her eyes. "Allison, what is it?" She asked softly.
"You have to go home, it's late," Allison told her.
"My mom knows am here," Triffany said and was about to lie down again but Allison stopped her.
"Not your mom, Triffany you are married now. You have to go home." Allison said seriously.
Triffany frowned, she had already forgotten she was married. "I thought I said no one should disturb my sleep."
"I made sure not to, but it's past eight in the evening already." Allison's voice was soft and gentle.
Triffany sat up still frowning. "Allison, did anyone call my cellphone?"
"No." She shook her head.
"No one cares for me, so let me be."
Allison exhaled softly and held Triffany's hands, she feels sorry for her cousin. "Come on, let's eat I prepared dinner."
She took Triffany's hands and lead her to the kitchen. "Triffany if you want him to love you, you should try to be a good wife," Allison said softly.
Triffany sits down on a stool in the kitchen. "I don't want him to love me so stop saying crab."
Allison served her some hot porridge, before joining her. "So do you have any plans now?" She asked.
Triffany exhaled softly. "All I need now is a job." She looked up at Allison who was about to say something else. "Allison, can I please eat in peace now?"
Allison nods and sealed her lips, they both continue we eating their meal without another word.
Carlos sat down eating dinner peacefully at the dining table. Gabby came out and couldn't see Triffany around.
She walked over to Carlos. "Where's your wife?" She asked but Carlos was silent. "Is she upstairs?"
She frowned and looked at the silent Carlos. "Why are you not eating with her?" She asked again.
Carlos did not even glance up at her, he sipped his wine and she turned around to go look for her. "Triffany!" She called outgoing upstairs.
She knocked on the door of Carlos bedroom. "Triffany are you inside?" She didn't hear a response and walked downstairs back to Carlos. "Where is she?" She demanded.
Carlos exhaled softly and lifts his eyes to look at her. "I don't know. She wasn't around when I came home."
Gabby furrowed her brow with her arms crossed. "Did you bother calling or asking about her?"
Gabby please give it a rest." Carlos rolled his eyes. "I'm eating." He lifts his glass to his lips again.
Gabby exhaled softly. "You should treat your wife well."
Carlos dropped the glass and looked up at Gabby with an arched brow. "Please Gabby." He waved his hands and fold his arm. "Go to a party or something, you are nagging me a lot." He snapped.
Gabby scoffed. "Now you want me to go to a party right? Something you're so much against." She raised her brow.
"It does clear your head, especially when you start nagging me." He exhaled softly. "I can't wait to go to work tomorrow."
He got up from his chair to leave when the door opened and Triffany walked inside, he paused. "I'm home," Triffany announces, her eyes met Carlos and she also paused.
"Triffany. Are you okay?" Gabby ran over to her and hugged her.
"I'm good." She turned her eyes from him to Gabby.
Carlos put his hands in his pocket and his face turned cold. "Before you leave next time, tell her." He pointed at Gabby. "I don't appreciate hearing your name." He walked upstairs as Triffany watched him with drooped eyes.
