Chapter 119

"You know, since our parents died, he had been everything, a brother, a father and a guardian, he has been watching over me for a long time, and now he also have to protect his wife." Gabby exhaled softly.

"His life don't suck, it's just a bit tough because of you." Eric corrected her and Gabby who hates when someone quote her wrong gave him a hard glare and Eric pressed his lips together and gave her a forced smile.

"Talking to you is less fun, I wonder why my brother sent you of all people to protect me." She crossed her arms around her chest and shook her head.

"I am more skilled at martial art." Eric said seriously and Gabby rolled her eyes.

"Skilled my butt, Blake have more skill."

"Hey, why do I think you love Blake more than us?" Eric looked at her closely giving her the suspicious eyes and Gabby look away.

"What do you mean love?" Gabby got up. "It's just that he listens, unlike you and Garrett." She turned to walk back to the car.

"Why do I feel like you are running away from the question, Gabby just confess." Eric walked to the drivers seat door and lean on it to look at her again.

"Just get into the car and let's get out of here, I am hungry!" She shouted and got into the front seat.

Eric chuckled. "I already she seems to look at Blake differently." He said to himself and got into the car.

"Take me to the best hotel you can find, I need to eat all my favourite dish." Gabby told Eric as she took out her phone to browse through it.

"Hey, am not your destination driver." Eric said with a frown as he start the engine.

"Sorry." Gabby raised her hand with a little smile and Eric shrugged. "I forgot you are now my bodyguard." She said softly.

"Gabby! You are just so annoying!" Eric shouted and drove off with Gabby laughing in high pitch. "I still have to talk to Carlos about all this protecting stuff." Gabby kept on laughing and Eric only hand to tune on the radio and started singing out loud in order not to hear her laughter.

Triffany gently open her eyes the next morning, she turn to her side and the window was open, she could see the beautiful beach and the sun rising bath it with it's shining ray, she smile, this place sure was awesome.

She turn to her side but couldn't find Carlos, she sat up immediately and who she saw was Jimmy Billy on the sofa smiling at her. "Jimmy Billy!" Her eyes filled with fear as Jimmy chuckled.

"Morning Triffany." Jimmy smile as he closed the magazine he was with in his hand and uncrossed his legs. "Why the sudden look on your face, you were smiling just now." He sat up and put his palm together, looking at her with a smirk.

Triffany swallowed hard and look around the room like she was looking for someone, Jimmy chuckled and his laugh made her turn her attention at him again. "You must be looking for Carlos Zack, but sorry to announce to you, he is no more and you belong to me now."

Triffany was so scared that she gripped the bed sheet. "What have you done to Carlos Zack?" Triffany asked with terror in her voice.

"What else Triffany, a life for a life." Jimmy laughed as his laugh echo in the whole room and Triffany eyes was filled with tears as she tremble with fear.

"Triffany, Triffany, Triffany!"

Triffany opened her eyes as she jerk up. "Carlos, Carlos.." She stutter as she looked at the room that was only brightened up by a the lamp, it must still be late and not yet morning.

"I am here." Carlos held her hands as he looked at the trembling Triffany. "I am here."

Triffany turn her eyes to look at his face, tears filled her eyes. "Is this really you Carlos, Jimmy...Jimmy told me...Jimmy said..." She couldn't finals words to say as she was in a great shock.

Carlos knew she had just had a nightmare and from what she was trying to say, Jimmy was in her dream, he pulled her closely him and hugged her tight. "It is only a dream, hush now, I am right here."

Triffany held him close as she sob on his shoulder. "I thought you were gone, Jimmy told me you were." Triffany kept crying as Carlos gently pat her on the back in silence.

Few minutes later Triffany was calm and Carlos lay next to her on the bed, she had her eyes close, the dream she had dreamt must be so horrible, this was the first time he had seen Triffany have a nightmare.

She was still holding his hands, he looked down at his hand that was held by her, seeing Triffany like this was very sad, she is a tough lady, a very stubborn one and a lady who doesn't take shit from anyone not even him, but right now, she was so scared.

She had always asked him what he knew about her connections with Jimmy Billy, he had always ignored the question, not because he knew it, but because he doesn't know anything about it.

He had acted like he know about their connection in other not to hear about it, sometimes it 8s better not to know, than to know, all he knew was he was never going to let Triffany go, not when she was carrying their baby and while he is still alive, no harm will ever come to them.

He caress her hair and kissed her forehead, yesterday he had told Triffany why he brought her here, Triff was not so happy, she had told him she was okay with being at the mansion she had also told him that to her, she felt like he was locking her away, like Rapunzel locked away in a castle.

But he had told her he was going to be with her and this was a place safe for her and the child, she had asked him about work, he told her he would be the only one working for now and she would help him from home if need be.

Triffany had not been happy with it, but all she could do was listen to him one a condition that she can go out if she wish and he had reluctantly agreed, saying that a guard will go with her wherever she goes.

All he was doing was for her good, yesterday Blake had found something to be used against Jimmy, something that will have to convince his board of directors, something that will make him stop being a CEO.

Jimmy had first started a fight with his company a fight that he had started the day Carlos left for a vacation with Triffany but had to return immediately to look into, Jimmy had started this fight and Carlos had to end it.

He won't ever let Jimmy Billy take away the joy he had now, just because of something that happened three years ago, Triffany was now his wife and he won't let her go, never.

He looked at Triffany again, she was now sleeping at ease, before he called her name, she was muttering something in her sleep and her hands had been tightly gripped on the bed sheet and she was sweating with a furrowed brow.

But right now she felt at peace, still holding his hands, he kissed her forehead and held her close to his chest, he knew he will still find out their connection from three years ago, he knew that what made Triffany this scared was not something to take lightly, he knew that truth will also make him sad, but he won't let it tear them apart, never!
