Chapter 111

Carlos got dressed the next morning for work and look at Triffany who was still asleep on the bed, he walked over to her and sat next to the bed. He gently touch her. "Triffany." He called out softly and noticed that she was burning up. "Triff, are you alright?"

Triffany opened her eyes softly and look at him. "Yes." She said softly and gently sat up.

"No you are not, let's go to the hospital." He held her hands to help her out of bed, but Triffany shook her head.

"I am fine, the room is just a little hot." She told him and Carlos looked around, it was the opposite of what she was saying, the air conditioner was on and she was sweating profusely.

"Triffany, I think you need to see a doctor." He said with worry on his face.

"I just need a little rest, that's all. Can I just take an off from work toady." She look into his eyes, pressing her lips together, her inside was in pain and she know she knew this was not a normal illness, it was due to the tears she cried last night and excessive worry.

"Okay." Carlos said softly. "I have to start back too." He picked his phone to call Felicity but Triffany held his hand, stopping him.

"You don't have to." She told him. "Today is a very important day for you." They were going to lunch a new technology today and he had to be present.

"You are more important to me Triff." He told her, taking her hands to his, his eyes on hers.

"Don't worry, I won't be alone, I rest for a bit and go visit my parents." She flashed him a thin smile. "I will be fine, just go do your best at work."

He was reluctant for a while. "Okay, I will come pick you up immediately i am done over there, okay." Triffany nods. He rose to his feet and kiss her forehead before leaving the room.

"Put someone to follow Triffany when she leave to house to her parents place today." Carlos told Shanne as he got into the car.

"Okay sir." Shanne replied and started the car, as the car leave the mansion Carlos glance up at his room window where he knew Triffany was, with a worried expression on his face.

Triffany rushed into the bathroom and threw up, she squat close to the towel and rolled tissue as she wipe her mouth, she wonder why she feel so weak, why she fill this way, she didn't want Carlos to be here with here that's why she told him to leave, she doesn't want him to get worried.

She touched her forehead, her body was warm, she thinks he might really be sick. She let herself get up, supporting herself by holding the sink.

She felt empty inside and also felt hungry. She ran herself a warm bath, she have to freshen up before going downstairs, she won't want Gabby to see her this way too.

Everything bothers her, Jimmy coming back, she lying to Carlos too. She can't even look him straight in the face for now. She have to meet her mother, maybe sitting with her mother will calm her down a bit.

Triffany wipe her body with the towel as she stare down at herself in the mirror, she look fat on her face and a little bit chubby, she have barely noticed something like this. She step on the weight scale and was surprise to find out she had gained weight.

Triffany move to her calendar and she embraced herself. "Oh no." She muttered. She was two weeks late and she haven't realise this.

Triffany close her eyes gently, she knew she had to stop by the hospital to be sure, she open her eyes and picked up a black jean and a green top, she had no energy to over dress today and whereas she was going to her parents house.

She brush her hair and tie it backwards, she wore her green sneakers and picked up her phone, car keys and bag, without taking another glance at the mirror she left the door, shutting it behind her.

"Good morning Triffany, come over and have your breakfast." Gabby called her over to the dinning table and she walked over to it and sat down on one of the chair, putting her bag down.

"Morning Gabby." Triffany said softly, she gently cover her nose as she looked at the meal and felt like throwing up again.

"Are you okay Triffany?" Gabby asked her when she saw a little knit on Triffany’s brow. Triffany immune forced a smile, she won't let Gabby notice.

"I am fine." She said softly. "But I don't have appetite for this meal." Triffany said softly and got up. "I am going to visit my parents, I will have something to eat there." Triffany said softly as she picked up her bag.

"Oh okay, Carlos told me you won’t go to the office today, and that you will be going-over to your parents house, send my regards to them, and be careful cause you don't look so good." Gabby said and Triffany flashed her a small smile and walked out of the house.

Gabby quickly brought out her phone and browse through it, searching for early symptoms of pregnancy, she had seen the change in Triffany’s facial expression when she look at the meal. "Does this mean she's pregnant?" Gabby said softly to herself with a smile.

Gabby shook her head and put down her phone. "Hey Gabby, don't jump into conclusions." She told herself, she remember what her brother told her last night, he said she shouldn't just blurt out everything that comes into her mind.

He was right anyways, but it was still rude of him, she had seen him leave early for the company today, she knew about the technology launch today, it must be a very busy dad for him.

Her phone rang and she picked up, she smile broadly. "Hello Jimmy." She said softly, are you here already?" She asked, Jimmy had told her that he would come pick her early today.

"No, something came up Gabby, I will call you later." Jimmy said from the side of the line and Gabby was silent for a while.

"Okay." Gabby said and hung up. She had told Jimmy that today was going to be alone today, her brother was going to the company and Triffany will head out to see her parents today too.

"Well he is a CEO, he wouldn't always be less busy." She muttered. "Hey Gabby, when did you start making excuses for a man." Gabby quickly got up from the dinning chair and walked over to her room.

She knew she wouldn't stay still today, she had to go out, maybe go for a long drive or so, anything that will keep her from be lonely.

Triffany drove out from the gate and speed up, heading into traffic, it was going to be a long drive to her parents house, she wind down the side glass and brought out her hands to feel the gentle breeze.

She was going to stop by the hospital, before going to her parents place, there was going to be possibility that she might be pregnant, she smile to the rear view mirror, she will he so happy if she is.

Carlos had talked a lot about having baby with her, his grandparents and even Gabby, they will be so happy. She pressed her lips together, thinking if it will be a girl or boy. "Oh come on Triffany, you haven't even checked if it is yet." She told herself.

She had threw up and missed her period, and even added and had felt nauseating at the dining table, was there any other. She accelerated, this would be something that would make her and Carlos happy.

But as she looked up ahead, she saw a man standing on the road with open hands and his car blocking her path, as she get closer she recognise who it was and her eyes widened with shock, he wasn't moving, as if he wanted her to stop.

Oh no! The smiles on her face disappear as she step on the brake few pace away. She look at the man who smile broadly as she stopped the car.
