Chapter 25

Carlos made a reservation in a restaurant to meet Triffany Joey since their wedding was going to be the next day.
He ordered different delicacy and was eating and drinking but Triffany just watched him without taking a bit of her food.
"Why aren't you eating?" He asked her, lifting his eyes to meet hers.
"I'm not going to eat anything you buy with your money," Triffany told him coldly.
Carlos laughed and sips his wine. "So be it then."
Triffany who was tired of watching this insolent man spoke up. "Why did you call me out here?"
"I'm eating right now. We can talk when I'm done." He said and took a bit of his food.
Triffany scoffed. "Continue your meal then." She said sarcastically.
Carlos looked around and then back at her. "You know what I'm embarrassed right now. You can't dress properly for a dinner and I'm sure you're afraid of eating since you can't use the cutleries. It's quite obvious." He said nonchalantly.
Triffany gave him a hard glare, holding down her anger. "Don't let me cause a scene here."
"There are securities around, they will throw you out before you dare. So chill." He said coldly sipping his drink. He has heard how crazy his sister say she can be.
Triffany was already tired of being here in this rich place with his man and she was getting angry. "If you don't have anything to say to me, I have something to say."
Carlos ignored her and continue his meal. Triffany leans close to the table. "I don't care if you are rich or an heir of an estate or your mansion. I don't give a damn, I don't love you!"
Carlos smirked and drop his fork. "I don't love you either." He sips his wine elegantly.
"Then that's good. We have no choice but to proceed with this crazy marriage, because of you. Points to be taken...stay out of my business and I will stay out of yours if you cross my boundaries and try to disrespect me...then.."
"Then what?" Carlos cut her off now furious too.
"I will show you I don't give a fuck on whoever you are!" Triffany gave him a hard glare not intimidated by him.
Carlos chuckled. "You're funny."
Triffany looked surprised and she wonders if she was not harsh enough.
"You!" Carlos cold voice pulled her from her thoughts. "You should know your place, I don't mingle with a low life like you. My house, my rules. You should mind the way you behave when we get married." He finished.
The waiter came and he cleared the bills. "I guess we are done here." He said to the speechless Triffany and walked away.
Three days later.
After Carlos Zack and Triffany's wedding ceremony, they went to California on a honeymoon, just to ensure the press and their parent's satisfaction against their will
Triffany Joey sat down on the balcony of the hotel they lounge in, it was close to a beach so she watched the water, she looked back and through the glass door, she saw Carlos going through some documents.
It has been like this since they arrived here, she has been in this room watching the beach and spacing around.
Triffany exhaled softly, it was a boring day for her as well today, if she was married to the man she loved and to a man who loved her, they will prepare breakfast together, then go out for sightseeing, maybe to a museum or a park.
What was the need of coming to such a beautiful place when she can't do those things, what a waste of money? She rests her chin on her hands looking at the water.
An idea pop into her head, she can do these things herself, it will be more fun going alone than with this man she married.
She went into the room they shared, well not like they share the bed, she lay on the couch and him on the comfortable bed.
They have agreed to do this after their marriage, they don't love each other anyway.
She put on a beach coloured dress that stopped at her knees and a white hat with her sunglasses, she smiled at her image in the mirror, she was always proud of her looks and she winks herself.
She doesn't need any compliment from anyone, it has always been this way. She puts some cash and her phone into her small white bag and puts it across her shoulder, then wore her flats.
She was good to go, she walked close to the room door to leave. "Hey!" Carlos called out and she stopped.
She turned to face him.
"My name is Triffany." She told him simply with a furrowed brow.
"I don't care. Where are you heading to?" He asked looking her all over.
Triffany rolled her eyes. "It's none of your business. Mind your business." She blurts out.
"You're in a foreign land." Carlos put down the document in his hands and leans back on his chair. "I'm sure you've not been here before, I can't let you wander about like you're crazy." He raised his brow.
Triffany scoffed. "When did you start caring?" She asked. This was the first day they have talked ever since they arrived here.
Carlos stands up and put his hands in his pocket as he sat on the desk to look at her. "Point of correction, I'm not worried. I just don't want to be spotted as a man who took a crazy lady to a foreign country and she gets lost."
Triffany bits her lower lips and looked at him arching her brow. "It's been two days since we arrived here, I have not looked around, it's such a waste of money." She blinks.
Carlos raised the corner of his lips. "It's my money. I'm not complaining." He folds his arm.
Triffany was already tired of all this talk, she frowned. "Can you please just continue what you were doing?" She pointed at the desk with documents. "I don't like sitting still, being bored is not in my veins."
She opened the room door to leave but stopped and look at him. "And one more thing. You don't own me." She said coldly and walked out of the room and out of the hotel.
Carlos runs his hands through his hair. "She's a pain!" He spits. He walked over to his wine cellar and poured himself a white wine and looked out of the lobby.
If only he came here with Kelsey as his wife, Kelsey, he misses her, he closed his eyes and sip his wine gently.
