She calmed herself down and sat down on the chair across from him as Carlos waited for her to continue. "You told me to wear this yellow dress and left home without waking me up, you are the reason I arrived late and received an early morning scolding."



Carlos smile. "I warned you last night to sleep early but, you didn't listen."



"A husband duty is to wake his wife when he knows she has to leave for work early." And she had told him last night about it.



"Why are you acting like a typical wife now?" He asked her.



"Jeez!" Triffany rolled her eyes. "Never mind since it's bygone." She knew she would always lose to him.



"Okay. You may leave now." He pointed at the door.



"I need a favour from you," Triffany told him as she blinks her eyes like a cute puppy.



Carlos looked at her cute face. "What favour?" He asked her, not surprised by her switch in attitude. Just now she was angry at him and now she was acting cute and asking for a favour.



"Tanner school closes by 1:00.p.m. please help me pick him up. Since am kind of busy now." She blinks again.



"I took him to school this morning." He reminded her.



"Please...hmm." She pressed her lips together.



Carlos stares at her face for a while, wondering how she could be this pretty suddenly. "Let's go together." He told her and Triffany was a surprise.



"I can't leave my work." She told him.



"I have got scheduled at that time." He looked at his wristwatch as Triffany sighed. "You know what? Why don't we both cancel it." He told her.



"That's easy for you to say," Triffany muttered. She wishes she can also cancel her schedule, but right now she was still on trial. Writing this article with Tommy will still determine her promotion.



Just as they were still taking Triffany's phone rang and she picked up. "Hello, Gabby." Carlos looked at her.



"Hello, Gabby," Triffany asked the call as Carlos looked at her.



"I just picked Tanner from school. We will both go out for ice cream if that's okay with you." Gabby told her.



Triffany smiled broadly. "Thank you Gabby, you're a lifesaver." At least she had saved her from continuing begging Carlos.



Gabby gave her phone to Tanner. "Hello sister, don't worry about me. This pretty lady will take me out on a date, so focus on your work." Tanner told her and Triffany chuckled.



"Spoilt brat. Take care of yourself and don't cause troubles." Triffany told her brother with a smile.



"I should be telling you that." He told her. "Bye then." He hands the phone to Gabby.



"Alright Triffany, see you later," Gabby told her.



"Bye." They ended the call as Triffany looked at Carlos. "Hello Mr rich, never mind what I asked you for before. Gabby picked him up already." She told him and got up from her chair.



"Good then." He told her and she turned to leave. "Triffany." He called out and she faced him.



"Yes."



"Please do well to stay out of troubles. You know you're clumsy and cause problems wherever you go. So try to stay away from trouble." Triffany scoffed. "I don't want to solve your problems Okay." He told her seriously.



"Okay, Richey." She knew there was no point in arguing with him, he only makes her angry. She left the office as Carlos smiled.



He was the cause, he won't only see her at her, but at his company too. He touched his chin as he remembered when she told his secretary that she was his wife.



He smiles. "She's cute and pretty. Best wife ever." He went over to his desk to continue his work.



He can't stop smiling anytime he remembered how she said she was his wife and now he wishes he had recorded it.



Outside the office, Tommy who had been searching for her saw her. "Triffany where have you been?" He asked her.



Triffany smiled. "Looking around...." She looked at him. "Let's go." She told him and walk ahead as he followed her.

Tanner say down with Gabby at a bench in the amusement park, eating his ice cream after enjoying many rides. "That was so much fun," Tanner told her.



"I am happy you enjoyed yourself, It has also been a long time since I came here and have such fun.



Tanner looked at Gabby who was also eating her ice cream. "This is a date right?" He asked her.



"Huh!" Gabby looked at the little boy with a smile.



"When two people have fun together. It becomes a date. Especially if the lady is pretty." Tanner told her.



Gabby smiled, looking at the cute little Tanner. "You're funny and cute." She nods her head. "Yes, it's a date."



Tanner smile broadly. "I knew it." He looks so happy that Gabby can't help but laugh.



Gabby looked around. "It's been a while since I had this much fun."



Tanner looked at her. "Why? I thought rich people have fun a lot."



"No." Gabby shook her head.



"But they always attend parties," Tanner said softly, he had seen them have a lot of fun on TV since they have a lot of money.



"Those are normally business parties. Also, drinking a glass of wine, chatting with people and dancing to slow music, isn't fun at all." Gabby told him. To her going to a club with loud music was better than those rich classy parties.



"I thought as much." Tanner smile. "I'm glad you had fun too today." He told her.



Gabby grin. "Me too. Why don't we grab dinner at once?" She asked him.



"That will complete the date." Tanner smile as they left the park. Gabby was happy, spending time with Tanner was fun for her.



Triffany went to the hospital after work to see her father. She found Nick and Allison there too. "You both came around." She smiles.



"Yes. We heard what happened to your father." Allison told her.



"Thanks for coming." She told them and went close to her father. "How are you feeling now dad."



"Stronger than yesterday." Trevor to her with a smile. "And your mother here kept on feeding me. I could get a stomach ache."



"He barely ate," Laura told her daughter and them all laugh.



"I am glad you are Okay," Nick said. Some people died at the crash and some were still in a coma. Trevor was one of the few lucky ones.



Triffany looked at her mother with a worried expression. "Mom, have you rested?" She asked.



"Nick and Allison came around so I had a few hours sleep." She told her.



Triffany breath a sigh of relief. "Thanks to them. I was scared you'd collapse."



"Am fine," Laura told her. "How is Tanner?"



"That's right." Allison looked at Triffany. "I heard you took him to your house."



"Tanner is okay. He is even on a date now." Triffany told them with a smile, using Tanner's word.



"What?" Laura looked at Triffany with a surprised expression.



"Carlos and his sister treated him like a prince." Triffany sat down and they all laugh.



"Are you jealous?" Nick asked her



"Why should I?" Triffany glared at Nick. Honestly, if Tanner was a girl, she would have been jealous.



"You said he's out on a date. With who?" Trevor asked.



Triffany smiled, she knew her father was curious. "With Gabby."



They smile. "Does he know about his father?" Laura asked.



Triffany shook her head. "No. I lied to him. I told him that you are both out on a vacation. So he is eased." She told her them.



Trevor knew Triffany was not happy that she lied to Her brother, he held his daughter's hands. "I understand why you have to lie to him."



"As long as he is not worried. It's good." Laura added and Triffany smiles softly.



"What about your husband?" Allison asked her.



"He has some work to do. He will come tomorrow." She told them.



"I should prepare meals and have them over one day. They have been so kind." Laura said. "Especially to let Tanner stay there."



Triffany smile. "Until then mom." Triffany looked at her father with a grateful expression. "I am glad you're speedily recovering."
