Chapter 120

Triffany woke up the next morning and saw Carlos sitting by her side on the bed, she was still holding his hands and she remembered her dream vividly and also how Carlos had hugged her and pat her to sleep.

Looking at Carlos here by her side, she felt so relieved. "Good morning Carlos."

"Morning Triff." He gave her a thin smile. "Come on, you should meet someone." Carlos told her as he got up from the bed, Triffany was puzzled as to who she has to meet this morning.

Yet she followed him out to the sitting room and there she saw a beautiful female standing with a white dress and looking so beautiful she smile and the young lady smiled back. "Allison." Triffany called out as she walked over to her. "Why are you here?"

"Why else will I be here." Alison embrace Triffany with a smile on her lips and Triffany turned to look at Carlos who had his hands in his pocket smiling at her.

"She will be staying here with us, that way you won't be bored." Carlos told her with a proud look on his face, he knew how much Triffany love having her cousins close, he had also met Triffany that first day with Allison and he knew they shared a strong bound.

"This way, you won't think you are Rapunzel, locked in a castle or tower, you have a friend and cousin here with you." He curled his lips.

Triffany rolled her eyes at him. "This must be one of your proud moments." Carlos smile and shrugged while Allison stare at him, sure enough it seems it was the first time she had seen him smile.

"Then, I should give you both some space." He turned and left the living room.

"Wow! Triffany this place is so beautiful, is this owned by your husband?" Allison asked as she look around the living room.

Triffany turn to Allison as they both sat down on the chair. "Yes, he is this kind of person, mysterious, until yesterday I never knew he owned such a place as this." Allison was still admiring the place and Triffany realise she was still curious as to how Carlos managed to convince Allison to stay here. "Tell me, why did you..."

Allison cut Triffany off before she could finish her statement. "Hey, why didn't you tell me you are pregnant, I am your cousin for crying out loud."

"I am so sorry Allison." Triffany apologize.

"I want to stay offended with you, but I just can't, anyways Carlos begged me to come stay with you and you know I just can refuse him, he was so cute." Allison said with a thin smile on her lips.

"Hey, Carlos is my husband." Triffany said seriously.

"Oh come on, don't be jealous, I already know he is your husband." Triffany chuckled, sure enough she was glad to see Allison here. "But Triffany, am curious about something." Triffany urge her to continue. "Why are you at this villa instead of the mansion, and this place seems so isolated even though it is beautiful, it is very far from the main land and even shops, make me wonder what is really going on."

Triffany pressed her lips together, Allison was a very sensitive girl, she had figured all this on her own, but to make her cousins mind at ease she had to lie, thought is not really a lie. "Well, I kind of told him I want a place like this." Allison didn't look so convinced so Triffany went on. "Have you even seen the beach here?" Triffany asked.

"I saw a glimpse of it when coming into the entrance." Allison told her, one of Carlos men had drove her to this place and she didn't have time to look at it.

"Then you have to see it." Triffany told her and got up from her chair, glad to finally distract her from the question she had initially asked, she won't worry Allison about Jimmy Billy, just like Carlos had told her, that was no longer important, she should focus on their baby.

Allison got up and followed Triffany out, she knew Triffany was trying to avoid her question, but she had decided not to press it, Triffany was having a baby soon and that is a thing of joy, and whereas she will be staying with her in this beautiful place.

Carlos Zack and Garrett sat down on the chair in his office at his company as they both went through a file together. "How much shares have he bought?" Carlos asked still looking at the files.

"So far he have acquired twenty five percent." Garrett hands him another file.

"That's a good head start, inform Blake, he had to stay on low key, Jimmy is not someone that overlook thing, we shouldn't understand estimate him, he have his own plans too." Carlos close the file and hand it over to Garrett.

"We have to be on guard, step two is to earn the board of directors trust, we have to get them on our side, we have to make Jimmy vulnerable to being fired, we have to take over his company and let him have nothing to fight with." Carlos eyes darkened.

"Carlos, aren't you taking all this too far?" Garrett asked softly. "Do you think Triffany will be happy when she find out?"

Carlos looked at Garrett as he leans back to his chair. "Jimmy started this fight with me and my company, do you think a friendly chat with that nutcase will solve all this, the answer is no Garrett, he is obsess in taking Triffany away from me and he will stop at nothing to do that, he might even ruin my company too, I won't let him do that."

"But Carlos..."

"I have seen him Garrett, he came to my house, he stepped his foot into it, he was not scared, he is in an open battle with me Garrett, he is determined and think he can win all this, but I won't let him." Carlos looked at Garrett with a cold expression.

"Carlos this isn't you, the way you act, Carlos you have to calm down and rethink all these, you have to rethink what you are doing." Garrett said seriously, he had never seen Carlos act this desperate over something.

"I love Triffany Garrett, honestly I am scared I will lose her, I still don't know all her past with him, but something in her action, something in her face, in her emotions, tells me that there is more to it, she stood still when Jimmy kissed her cheek at the elevator, she stood still when he held her waist at my house, so i know..." Carlos looked down unable to say anymore.

Garrett just looked at him in silence, Carlos had always been opened Garrett and Garrett understands him better, right now he knows that Carlos was really scared and in love. "You should ask Triffany to tell you."

"No." Carlos said sharply. "It is better not to know than to know Garrett, the plan has already started, we have to see to it, I want it done within a month, it will be too fast for Jimmy to even see what's coming."

"Carlos, we have to be patient, we have to act with caution in other for it not to blow up in our face." Garrett reminded him.

"No Garrett, we have to take over, now that Jimmy is away from his company in New Zealand, this is the only time, now he is still trying to get Triffany, his focus is divided, so it's now or never." Carlos got up from his chair.

"I want to live peacefully with Triffany and our child." He walked over to the large French window and Garrett joined him. "I thought everything will be okay after, I fall in love with Triffany, but now it isn't."

"Are you doubting Triffany’s love for you?" Garrett looked at Carlos with his brow raised.

"No, I am just wondering, Triffany wouldn't be sad as she is now, she won't be scared and she won't have these nightmares if she haven't met me, she won't cry too." Carlos close his eyes and exhaled softly.

Garrett put his hand on Carlos shoulder. "Carlos, love conquers all things, you just have to be calm, I hope you and Triffany have a long talk about all this, no matter how much you don't want to know, you still have to know."

Carlos open his eyes and look at his friend's face, sure enough Garrett was right, he was right about all this, it was time for him to know what connection Triffany had with Jimmy, but he will never let it spilt them apart.
